Due to my own research for my own book, there's a bit more to the story of 'Everyone drank beer'. It wasn't beer as we know it today, it's something they called 'Table Beer' or 'Small Beer' and you can still find it today in some places. It's EXTREMELY low in alcohol content, we're talking 0.5-2% ABV, just enough to make up for the fact SOME water was often not clean. All we really had as methods to check water purity was smell and taste - and if Phillipe shat his guts out after drinking some.
Contrary to popular belief there was plenty of fresh, clean water drinking in the middle ages, but larger population centers or places with just, poor access to clean water - would drink Small Beer with every meal just because it was cheap - usually made after the second or third run of the mash from stronger beers/ales so it was basically 'dregs' - and because it had something water didn't: Calories.
Yeah. Small Beer was basically a medieval energy drink. Not for the same buzz we get out of caffeine - but because it was literally just bread you could drink. It was more calories to burn working the MUCH harder lives they had then, and that's really what made it popular. Not enough alcohol to get you blasted, and extra calories you could pack in.
Granted this is all a generalization of HUNDREDS of cultures across Europe so there are sure to be exceptions, but clean water was not simply unhead of in even the 12th century. People just like beer.

As Bud or Miller, their only job in marketing is to not screw it up. Some exec got scared of seltzers and whatever the other popular fruity drinks are, and let some young marketing team cook, when they really should not have. Combine this with a fear of getting canceled by the ever-overhyped "woke mob," and the opposite winds up happening, canceled by people they thought they didn't need to pretend to care about.

It's not just feminists. Marketing in the 2010s embraced some retarded idea that "going political" was profitable. This was do to early statistics that using social media and promoting political support had seen an increase of profits for a few months. In these cases, left wing political stances made more money than right wing, so the advertisers naturally decided to promote left.
Now, as the decade progressed, things changed. And here is where we get the real problems. To properly promote left wing politics, the marketing teams needed to hire people who actually knew and understood left wing politics. So now you have a bunch of activists in your marketing team. Next, as this kind of marketing becomes more popular, the general populace, including the political populace, sees through it, and thus it loses its effect.
Now the original advertisers who were focused on profits would likely just want to change strategy, but now they have a bunch of activists they hired on their team that want to go the other direction. They claim that if people believe the company is more genuine about their political stances, i.e. sending support to actual political groups, then the company will make profits again.
It's a mentality which has replaced the economic core of business for a less stable political core. The companies who avoided this are the ones you don't see in controversies. The ones you do see, like Miller, Bud, Dove, etc. are the ones who got wrapped up in this flawed mentality. It won't die until the people who push these politics are removed from power, fired, or the company loses too much money to where it can't be ignored. The depressing reason it will probably still go on is because some companies just don't die and career savvy activists are very clever when it comes to keeping their power (think Kathleen Kennedy).

Hell when we were given sliders for the first time we ALL made fat bastards. That lasted a few minutes and then we all made the Huge guys who look like they could rip your arms off just by looking at them OR we made the beautiful sexy woman as the character. Why did Lara Croft take off? It sure as hell wasn't because she was a fat lass that's for sure. Jiggly Physics!

The reason why women were the first to brew beer was because women were the bakers and cooks in all societies. It as part of women's kitchen chores. Making beer... Cook ingredients, add sugar, flavorings, add yeast (the same yeast that can be used in BREAD making!) Add water and put in dark spot (even cover it) and let it bubble (ferment) for a week or two. The yeast eats the sugar, makes the alcohol and die when they run out off sugar. Then drain off the liquid, store in bottles or kegs, throw out the solids left over by the Yeast's activity. Put the bottles on a shelf for a week or two, and then open one and see how successful the recipe was. That is how to make beer. My husband and I used to make our own, but if Miller thinks a woman can do that work alone, they are delusional. Lots of lifting and carrying involved, it is a challenging job.

The question is: when will they learn their lesson? It does not seem like Bud Light understands what went wrong. They would need to be honest with themselves, and that would hurt somebody's feelings. Miller Lite and Dove producing their ads proves they think they have a successful strategy, and possibly that they have dodged a bullet by not using trans? Then I heard Adidas is marketing a man wearing a woman's swimsuit.

I worked for two huge gaming companies, one rhymes with Egocentric Farts, and the other with Airsoft.
I worked on their flagship titles, for about 3 and half years on each. I joined Airsoft after about one month after I left Egocentric Farts, and I left Airsoft when the project became mindless and stupid AF... One of the other reasons I left is because I got fed up with the woke and LGTV shit that was pushed down our throats, and how we had to tiptoe around the "sensitive" subjects. We were a mostly guy team, but because we had girls in the team (which were actually cursing more than most of the guys), we had to approach certain subjects with care, or we weren't allowed to approach them at all. And we were guys that constantly made Yahtzee jokes and whatnot, because that's how we functioned.
