Should have given them blasters and training on how to use them, I know Gammoreans prefer to use melee weapons but they could have survived if they had blasters. Brave pair of brothers, stood their ground till the end. Lets not forget them.
These guys were low-key badass. To be honest, when I saw the train pulling out, I thought both of them were gonna get gunned down by a Pyke Squad with blasters. But they were still done dirty. I'll miss Green Eggs and Ham.
My headcanon was that one of the first things Boba did in the aftermath of the battle was ensure that their bodies were recovered and given a decent burial, with their blades sticking up out of the ground as grave markers. But, a statue would work, too.
They didn't even have names! Hope that somehow in the next season more gammorrans hear about boba's kindness to these 2 and go and join him. I'll really miss them.
One thing I really enjoy about the Star Wars shows is how we're getting to see a more detailed look, in canon, at what up until now had mostly been one-off or background cultures and species. Star Trek did the same with the Klingons, Ferengi, Cardassians, and somewhat with others like the Borg, but I don't remember it being quite the same. The Star Trek canon focuses mainly on Starfleet, duh, but Star Wars shifted focus away from the main heroes, showing us more.
Extremely tragic loss, besides from being loyal and trustworthy guards they were the only Gamorreans who could scream like an Acklay, nobody would enter your palace when they hear that sound...
But I love about this race is their Warrior culture they're loyal to The Bitter End and they won't betray you that's why I love about the Gamorrean guards
So even though the stereotype in the galaxy was that they’re dim-witted brutes, who want nothing more than to fight and kill their challengers, they’re still not THAT stupid. They knew basic right from wrong and when to save their own skin… it’s random how easily they just died, like that… when they seemed like such an unexpected yet key part of the story. They could’ve continued on living and we could’ve seen even more of their backstory, maybe even seen more of the planet Gamorrea, more of their species… lol.
Those poor under fed guards.... I guess after the death of Jabba they had salaries cut. Instead of getting a burger & fries at McJabba's they had to resort to eating week old food (Hanging from a rope) at the local 7-11 equivalent convenience store.
But in "The Streets of Mos Espa", even though he had taken a far worse beating from Krrsantan, than either of the Gamorreans, Boba insisted on having the more beat up of the two Gomorreans use his Bacta Tank before he did 🤨.
It was one of the sadder parts of the finale. While I figured at least one of them probably wouldn't make it out alive, I was hoping one would survive (It's often the case with "Twin" characters in movies that one will die and the other survive: SPOILERS Fred and George Weasley, Castor and Pollux in 'Mockingjay,' the Brody twins in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' etc. END SPOILERS). The Gamorreans were brave and loyal right to the end. It's definitely something to admire. In my headcanon, one of the first things Boba does in the wake of the battle is ensure that their bodies are recovered and given a decent burial, perhaps with their blades sticking out of the ground to act as grave markers.
Two guards and two tank droids, coincidence? I think the writers just knew they would destroy the droids without breaking a sweat so they had to get rid of them early in the episode
I know it was meant to be tragic, and it was, but I kept having to suppress the Angry Birds theme playing in my head when they were dropped like that. Think that was 10'000 points total for those Piggies...
