How to enjoy Toffifee: 1) get a pack just for yourself. Do not share! 2) The first one you let slowly melt the chocolate and part of the caramel before chewing the nougat, the hazelnut and the rest of the caramel 3) now you are addicted and the next 6 you chew in a hurry 4) you are slightly sick, but like every other addict you can´t stop and eat the next 7 in a slightly slower pace. 5) all of a sudden you realise that there is only one left and there is no other package in your storage. You look at it, you feel sick,, but you still want it. So the only thing left to do is: eat it like the first one! 🤣 Damn, why is there no Toffifee in my cupboard?
😂😂😂😂😂 We need to print this step-by-step and tape it to the fridge as a reminder when we buy Toffifee next. It's perfect! They were so good so I already can see this plan in action! 😂
That's true, i don't have a sweet tooth, and my wife either, but a box of Toffifee doesn't stand a chance to survive the evening. :D 1) Bite of the hard, dark chocholate 2) dissolve the soft chocolate in your moth 3) chew up the caramel 4) enjoy the hazelnut This is the way i eat the first one.. the rest will be chewed down, like it's the last piece of food on earth. :D
The reason why the nutella things tasted of Ferrero rocher is that Nutella is made by Ferrero as well. Same for the Milchschnitte and Kinder Pingui, they’re also made by Ferrero.

If you want to try something similar with marzipan, I recommend "Mozart Kugeln". They don't have any walnuts, but they are also a well-known and popular confection. However, they are of Austrian origin.
"germany always has a good way to open this" is so true xD the bigger Prinzenrolle comes with an opening at the bottom you can seal again and it allows you to take like 2 cookies out. i love it 😂 i even like prinzenrolle wholewheat more and its so good as an afternoon snack with coffee
the entire "trying to pick a favorite between Milchschnitte and Kinder Pingui" section - I felt that xD I'd also be hard pressed to tell you which one I like more, they're both great
Hey, some infos from my side for you :) A) Paprika or Hungarian is the most loved taste for chips in Germany, leading by far. B) A common way to eat the Prinzenrolle is to eat one side, scrape the chocolate off with your teeth and then eat the other side or make them double. C) Spezi is a brand name by Paulaner, but like Edding has become a generic term for this drink. Btw: Mezzo Mix is made by Coca Cola, you can also get Schwipp Schwapp, which is made by Pepsi. Maybe some for you to compare as well. D) Both Milchschnitte and Pingui are by Kinder, which is owned by Ferrero. You can easily spot Kinder by the colour scheme they use. I prefer Kinder Maxi King over both. E) I love Peanut Flips. You can also get sweet versions like Donuts by Funny Frisch, and savory options with spices. F) Merci is made by Storck, which is a german company. Kaffee-Sahne is literally Coffee & Cream. You can get no name version of this in bigger bars, which are also good and cost less in stores like Aldi or Lidl.
C) the first original Spezi was the brand name of some beer many decades (maybe a century?) ago, but then discontinued. that brewery later revived that name for softdrinks to serve to women and children while the men had their sunday morning beer in a beergarden. That is the current original Spezi, produced by several smaller breweries (because that one brewery couldn't keep up with demand by themselves). at one time, they had licensed the use of the name "Spezi" to the Paulaner brewery, but not the recipe. thus there is now the "original Spezi" and the "Paulaner Spezi" that has its similar but different own recipe. for decades both were mostly available in southern germany (bavaria) and everywhere else in germany, the name became the generic name for mixing cola and orange, most often Coca Cola and Fanta orange, sometimes Pepsi Cola and Mirinda (that is the version of Fanta by Pepsi), or the same types of beverages from other companies like Afri-Cola and Bluna. at one time, the companies Coca Cola and Pepsi decided that it might be a good idea to offer them premixed, and thus we now have Mezzo-Mix and Schwipp-Schwapp too. but of course you can still mix them yourself. I like the "self-mix" better since i can use different ingredients (eg Fanta Lemon instead of Fanta Orange; thus don't like any of the above four versions with orange too much) and different ratios depending on my "taste of the day", using ratios from almost pure Fanta Lemon with a splash of Coke to give some more taste, to almost pure Coke with a splash of Fanta Lemon just like Coke is often served with a slice of lemon.

assigning foods/sweets/snacks to countries can be difficult, and i usually look at "favorite snacks in a specific country", ignoring the owners. eg 1 : CocaCola clearly is american, but the first Fanta was invented by one of their german employees in germany and had a different recipe than is used today, while the new version of Fanta was created by an italian, and later slightly modified by (maybe the american company?). eg 2 : Kinder is a german word, while the company is italian. but they owned a factoy in germany which produces almost all their products that are sold in germany and even exports them from germany, and that german factory invented some of the sweets, and are producing most of the machines that are used worldwide to produce ferrero products. eg 3 : lots of companies are founded in one country, but their products and brands are bought and sold internationally and thus had different owners in several countries over time. one example is Nestle who have bought and sold lots of brands, and who have partnerships with cocacola for tea drinks in europe and canada, and with general mills for cereal products outside of the usa. even kellogs (at least their cookie and snack division) was once sold to ferrero; thus : is kellogs now an italian company ? :-)
@@Anson_AKB The Italian family company Ferrero did not invented some sweet in Germany 🇩🇪 at all, but only in Italy 🇮🇹, by the way my friend 😃😊😎😎🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The funny frisch "ungarisch" (hungarian, as you mentioned correctly) have their name because hungary is well known for its "Puszta" (an old slavic word for "desolate, deserted, empty, abandoned"). In this area (mainly in hungary, partly in slovakia and austria) you find nearly no tree, just wide ranges of grass. It was used as a cultural landscape and is associated with "Paprika", red pepper bells.
In fact, large quantities are sold under different names: Coca-Cola has sold the special mix under the name “Mezzo Mix” since 1973, and Pepsi-Cola has sold it under the name “Schwip Schwap” since 1969. A special case is the Paulaner brewery, which also uses the name Spezi, but “Paulaner Spezi”. Spezi is simply the umbrella term for soda with cola, Mezzo Mix is the Coca Cola version of this mixture, i.e. a brand.
Hi you two. i'm starting to look your videos and i really enjoy them. so if i saw it right this was your last german snack video and i hope there will be a part 3 of it :) some suggestions if it comes to part three: but i have to mention that i'm not 100% sure that all of them are pure german: Hanuta, Mr. Tom, Ruschisch Brot, Lakritze, After Eight(not german), Frucht Kracher, Maoam, Ahoi Brause(put in water and drink), Malzbier(not a real beer & no alcohol)), Schweineohren(pastries), Frantzbrötchen(pastries), Gewürzspekulatius( mostly only during Christmas), Duplo, Jogurette, Hallorenkugeln. I hope u two are happy and like living in germany. Enjoy your life here. Greeting from Weiden in der Oberpfalz(Bayern)
Hey, nice to see, you liked my suggestion to merci Kaffee-Sahne. Fun fact: I myself also don't like drinking coffee, but I love it when it comes with chocolate or some kind of cake 😉 Greetings from Berlin 😎
Mezzo Mix vs Paulaner - neither: i simply prefer to mix myself with orange lemonade and cola, and it doesnt even have to be the coca cola brand, over any of the premixed versions. Sometimes is just like a little more orange and sometimes a little more coke and sometimes i like the surprise, and i like that it doesnt taste 100% the same everytime. So Spezi is always a nice surprise when you drink it. Milchschnitte and Pingui are supposed to be stored in the fridge, but in summertime when it starts to get hot outside i personaly like to put them in the freezer. Btw "Glockenpfeffer" the literal translation to bell pepper is not the common name for Paprika in general german but in some regions of germany they would understand you just perfect. Also it is never wrong if someone doesnt like something. Taste are different and people like what they like, cant argue with that. That is just fine as it is.

And it's a great marketing strategy to name it 'Merci'. Everyone who wants to say "thank you" to friends, neighbours or whoever buy Merci chocolate - - yeeees, me, too 😆
As a dip - try Frischkäse - maybe one with herbs. If you find it try the light version of Almette with herbs. (the potatoe chips already have enough fat)
@@CompassChronicleTravels I use that spread (but the nameless from Aldi that is made in the same factory) instead of butter on bread or mix it in greek yoghurt together with frozen herbs to eat it with potatoes.
Merci is a german brand from Storck, Berlin like toffifee too. Prinzenrolle was first belgium, than german and now american it's a brand of mondelez. Nutella is like all Kinder products from Ferrero, Italy.
Not really for allergies, but if you have a cold i can recommend Brochicum cough syrup (you should get it at any apothecary). Works everytime, and it even tastes good. Sure taste is not the most important thing about medicine, but why does medicine always has to taste like medicine? Cheetos are not allowed in Germany those have a chemical (i think for the color or taste) that is not allowed to be in food in Germany.
Your videos are really great! Just watching this video made me laugh, because you tasted the most famous and best-selling treats. Your reactions could be my reactions, although I have known these products many decades longer than you. That's really funny🤣😀
Most important you recovered, take your time to get back on your feet. Health, physical or mental, comes first. I hope you could celebrate your anniversary😊 And nice that you sacrifice your good shape in the name of science😂
😂😂😂 Always for science, of course. We will both be hitting the gym shortly lol. And yes, thank you so much! It has been a stretch, but absolutely health is so important. We are celebrating today actually and having a lovely and relaxing time! Thank you! 🤗💕
Well, you're not wrong. Merci is sold both in Germany and the Netherlands. It is indeed a French name meaning Thank You, but it was founded by a German company. Anyway, interesting. Not even half of these you can get in the Netherlands. Nutella we know, but like this? We also have Frit Sticks, but from another brand. 6:50 we have as well, but from Dutch makers. 11:00 These are made by Lays here - and before that Smiths. 13:50 ITALIAN Kinder Penguin !? That's not German! 20:08 again, available in NL, but from another maker. And we have those cookies too, but not from this brand.

I know I am a bit late.... and I didn't read all the comments, so maybe someone answered before. About "Cheetos" in Germany: "There are over twenty different varieties of the famous snack in the USA. However, Cheetos, the popular cheese snacks from the United States, are only available in special US stores in this country. It is possible that Intersnack Knabber-Gebäck GmbH & Co. KG from Cologne, which has been issuing warnings for years, may be the reason why Germans have not yet been able to enjoy the snack across the board. The snacks have a problem: their name Cheeto is said to be in conflict with the German trademark Chito. Specialty stores must fear for their Cheeto assortment, as the warning letter claims an infringement of the Chito trademark." (This is a quote. Source: Online Händler News)
Paulaner is one of the best Spezis even tho I'm from Augsburg where the Riegele Brewery created the original recipe and they even went to court against Paulaner for calling their Spezi Spezi as well. Riegele lost the law suit and Paulaner still use the name Spezi while most brands title it Cola Mix

When you order a "Spezi" in a restaurant you will often get it with a slice of lemon in it for decoration and a more intense taste. As we like to mix our own one at home from the coke and orange soda of the Sinalco Company we had the idea to add a spoonful of lime syrup to it.

It's always hard to say what country something is from in Europe. Imagine the Danish subsidiary of a Spanish company employing a team of Irish food specialists in a Swiss office to create a product for the Hungarian market but it's first sold in Austria and then copied by a Finnish company which gets bought by a French company that's then producing the product in a variant for the taste of Italians in a Polish factory that's also sold in Germany and becomes a traditional product there. What country is that product "from" when Americans taste-test it? This gets even more insane when you realise that there are product variants that look the same (same name, brand and packaging) but have a different taste even within one country...
We can imagine! We have definitely already seen how many countries can connect through just one product and it can be hard to know for sure. There are so many yummy things we don’t have back in the states though for sure! 😋

we are adding it to the list to try and will see if we can find the light! And you're definitely right, the chips have plenty of fat already. 😅
@@CompassChronicleTravels I use that spread (but the nameless from Aldi that is made in the same factory) instead of butter on bread or mix it in greek yoghurt together with frozen herbs to eat it with potatoes.
or Kräuterquark
Merci is a great choice ,if you want say "thank you" to someone special.MERCI means "Thank you" in France :)
I only buy the german "DANKE" brand.
if you like paprika chips you have to try the Kartoffel Ringe from Aldi
Oooo ok we will look for those! Definitely a fan of the paprika so we are down to try them!
Merci is a german brand from Storck, Berlin like toffifee too. Prinzenrolle was first belgium, than german and now american it's a brand of mondelez. Nutella is like all Kinder products from Ferrero, Italy.
Most fruit is obviously in Rosbacher Apfelschorle. So I would hold on that one. By the way, it is the most healthy option.
Butter Cookies taste buttery...What surprise...😂😂😂
hahaha. Yeah it's a shocker lol. Delicious though!
I hope you could celebrate your anniversary😊
And nice that you sacrifice your good shape in the name of science😂
😂😂😂 Always for science, of course. We will both be hitting the gym shortly lol. And yes, thank you so much! It has been a stretch, but absolutely health is so important. We are celebrating today actually and having a lovely and relaxing time! Thank you! 🤗💕
im lovong the way u cheers all time
Paulaner is the best! ❤
You put a lot of love into your videos, but unfortunately the RUclips algorithm is not on your site
Hello, I'm glad to see you. Try pronouncing difficult German tongue twisters, such as Streichholzschächtelchen.
Ihr beide seit sehr sympathisch 😊
Viele Grüße aus Berlin
wunderbar
You asked if Merci chocolate is a german brand. Yes it is. It is manufactured by the german company Storck. 😊
Did you try "Yes Törtchen" before? Thats my recommendation.
Merci Chocolate are made by the German Brand Storck, like the Tofiefee.
Ooo interesting. The merci was soooo good. And we liked the Toffifee a lot too!!
@@CompassChronicleTravels I love you're content very much , so keep on. Kind regards from Berlin / Germany.
"Spezi" comes to California under the name "Sunset" and is marketed as "sunset in psychedelic colors"
Yes The Kinder Brand and Nutella by Ferrero is actually original from Italy 🇮🇹, Alba, Italy 🇮🇹, by the way my friend 😊😊😊🎉🎉😊😊😁😎😃😊🤜🏻🤛🏻🤘🏻👍🏻🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍫🍫🍫🍺🍻🍻🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Paulaner Spezi is the best 😊 More fruit taste 👍
I know I am a bit late.... and I didn't read all the comments, so maybe someone answered before. About "Cheetos" in Germany:
"There are over twenty different varieties of the famous snack in the USA. Specialty stores must fear for their Cheeto assortment, as the warning letter claims an infringement of the Chito trademark."
(This is a quote. Source: Online Händler News)
You have to try kinder Maxi King it’s similar to kinder Pingui and milchschnitte but way better!!!
Oh wow! Had no idea about that…very interesting history on the Spezi! I think the Paulaner is def my favorite after more tries.
Kinder Maxi King is King 😂
😂 It really is! Love them all
The Kinder Maxi King 🍫👑 is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪 at all, but The Kinder Maxi King 🍫👑 is actually original from Italy 🇮🇹, Alba, Italy 🇮🇹, by the way my friend/ my friends 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😁😎😃😄🙂👍🏻🤘🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻🍺🍺🍺🍫🍫🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

I really enjoyed your test. How much do you payed for the guy who played the piano in background?😉💜
You're absolutely right, alcohol should NEVER be in any kind of sweets
ich koche auch gerne mal für euch ;) Als Thüringer
The thing about Nutella in Germany an the US is that there are not the Same Ankunft of ingreadiens in the US there ist more of fat and suger what makes it more liquid and sweet besides in Germany there is more Haselnut and less suger what makes it more full-bodied and thicker
Americans usually don't travel abroad, so the few who travel instantly make vlogs about their experience abroad.
oder Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte :)
Sometimes Kinder pingui is my absolutly favorite, but sometimes i like milchschnitte more😅 but mostly pingui wins
Cheetos are forbidden to sell in Germany under that name. If you find them they are called käsos or something like that.
ahhh thank you! that makes sense! We hadn't even thought about the fact that we haven't seen them here until they came up during the video. They certainly can't be good for you though so we aren't surprised they're banned.
btw: "nutri-score d" means delicious..😋
Hahahaha yessss! We love that and completely agree 😆😆
26:03 The Nutella B-ready from Ferrero is actually not from Germany 🇩🇪, but The Nutella B-ready from Ferrero is actually original from Italy 🇮🇹 😊😎😃🤘🏻
It’s so hard to keep up with all the different locations on them but they sure are delicious 😋😋
@@CompassChronicleTravels Yes my friend 🙂😎😃😊👍🏻🤘🏻🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻
Never tried Paulaner Spezi!
I‘d prefer MM ,SCHWIPPSCHWAPP is even more orangy !
Please try that!🍀
You gotta refridgerate the Nugat Ritter Sport, it gets too creamy in room temperature in my opinion
When you order a "Spezi" in a restaurant you will often get it with a slice of lemon in it for decoration and a more intense taste. As we like to mix our own one at home from the coke and orange soda of the Sinalco Company we had the idea to add a spoonful of lime syrup to it.
Next Time try Knoppers ^^
Toffiffee.....jaaaaaaa!!! Moin aus Schleswig-Holstein. Edit: Rollos sind auch geil. Noch ein Edit: Wenn Marzipan dann Niederegger Marzipan aus meiner Heimatstadt Lübeck. Enjoy!
Toffiffee.....yesssss!!! Hello from Schleswig-Holstein. Edit: Rollos are awesome too. Another edit: If marzipan then Niederegger marzipan from my hometown of Lübeck. Enjoy!
Kinder is a Brand! But Kinderis the word for child too!
And it's Italian.

moooore please 😀
There definitely will be in the future :)
I think all mixed drinks taste equal.
Its intresting i saw a lot of those typs of Videos an even every creator says to normal peper taste thats taste like bbq in Germany bbq flavor its so different to yours
Paulaner Speezi is the "original" one. Mezzo Mix came later from Coca Cola company...
oh interesting! Good to know! I think Casey prefers the Mezzo and I prefer the Paulaner
I like riffle chips
Nutella and Kinder are from Ferrero Ferrero is Italian and has nothing to do with Germany. It is only produced in Germany
24:46 i missed it 😆😂😂😂😂

Most people dont realize, that there is no pinguin in kinder PINGUI . The n is missing. ( I guess, you cant own the word pinguin. PINGUI you can)
why is milchschnitte in a 5 pack? so you can eat 5 in a row ^^

21:50 i think you mean fonzies corn cheese snacks
If haven't tried Kinder Maxi King - have you really lived life? 😂
Spezi is more fruity😊
I prefer the spezi
prince koekie is from belgie not german and nutella is italian yes merci is german
hihi related to customary law, Nutella has been Germanized!
Originally, yes. But today it is part of a German company and produced in Germany.
Since the 1950 Ferero is developing a lot of products in the german Main branch. Kinder was invented in germany by Ferrero
The merci was SO delicious! Love that it is in fact a German brand! So much history about the chocolate! Going to have to read more about it. Everything here has been so much better than the chocolate we are used to...and really the food on the whole.
@@Kelsea-2002No Nutella is not German and that would never be German at all, because Ferrero is actually an Italian Family Company not German at all/ either at all, and The Italian Family Company Ferrero is actually original from Italy 🇮🇹, Alba, Italy 🇮🇹, by the way my friend 😊🙂😁😎😎😄🤜🏻🤛🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🍫🍫🍫🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Ganz klar Paulaner ^^
If you dont like alcohol, you better not try "Mon cherie"
Merci assortment is better, you can choose different flavors. Cheese puffs or cheese curls were very common untill cheetos took over the market. Funny to see you try all those children cookies and chocolates which you would hardly eat as an adult.
Paulaner 1st
Ganz klar Mezzo Mix
