Rick has a nice voice. I saw him like 3 times live the best show was on Catalina Island he had the RVSP CD out it was fantastic!! Chris played there a week before or later.
24:06 A nice concise articulation of something I've often struggled to come up with the right words to properly express... i.e. getting any listener to feel music intensely is more about emotional content and less about technical wizardry, even though the latter is never a bad thing per se. PS: Rick is my favorite trumpet player, in my mind second only to Chet Baker!

Just saw him at Catalina Jazztrax Festival 2 wks ago with WestCoast Jam. He's been a favorite for 20 yrs.
