- This one is pretty rough. It had sat outside for a number of years after being removed from a working shop. All the old paint is flaking off, there's grease and oil everywhere, and we're gonna clean it up. Yikes.

Gosh darn it I have the exact same bridgeportround arm flat motor and riser - mine came to Australia during World War Two when the yanks saved our arses with actual war material and machines to make some ourselves - that machine was in WW2 and would have made something to defend western civilisation - great work gents & thank you for your service.
Wow! Nice find!
It's a pile of grease with a spindle! but it cleaned up nicely. I'm looking forward to the degreasing and painting.
@@IronWolfIndustrial i would take greas before rust anny day 😉
@@jarlove Same here!! I was relieved to find clean metal underneath all of that sludge... Doesn't change the fact that the head is still locked up. One step at a time!
Nice
When are you going to update the tear-down and rebuild?
Someone added the J head. Round ram had M head. You got plug re drill ram to mount the J head.
My mistake yours has no riser. To make the head sit higher
I Guys, did you finish this M head Yet?
That is actually a J head sir. M heads are a little lighter duty, have only 3.5" of quill travel, and do not have power down feed. I only know this because I own an M head and wish i had a J head lol. Nice find though good luck with it!
it looks like this machine has the m head frame with the j head mounted to it.
Probably some pretty nasty paint huh..
Yes sir... hence the tarp to catch falling particles, and respirators. We weren't going to take any chances. The needlescaler is my first choice in work like this for a couple reasons - it works well, but it also doesn't throw chips or particles very far. This is unlike an angle grinder, which slings stuff thirty feet in every direction. With the scaler, most of the particles just fall to the ground. Thanks for the comment!
@@IronWolfIndustrial Unfortunately we grew up spreading that crap everywhere and of course no mask or eye protection.. Probably took 20 years off my life breathing that crap.. Lol.. Love the content btw you fellas do some nice work.. 👍
there's no excuse for NOT pulling the knee. If you're going to do it, do a proper job.
