I was there too. It was a fabulous weekend. My first time sketching and painting outside and I was quite stressed at the thought. Now I want to carry on sketching and painting every day. Cannot thank you enough, Toby and Colin.

I so wish I could be there learning and sharing the fun of sketchbook street art. I am very self critical and sketchbook art is one of the things that always keeps me active in drawing and painting. I hope to get in on one of your sketch weekends.

I was there! A really enjoyable weekend, my first time sketching/painting outside - a variety of people on the course a number who also hadn’t painted outside before. Was great to see both Colin and Toby build up works with different styles, methods and stages. Learned a lot and enjoyed the process. Recommended.

What a great, cute video!!! Thanks for sharing and taking us folks State side to your sketch weekend! It looked amazing. Colin’s use of bright colors was a true surprise and I felt anxious for him watching it to given his Jane’s Grey affinity. 😊

However, if I may suggest for next time, switch out the Oat Milk for Almond or Coconut for better health. Unfortunately Oat milk is a liquid starch to the human body. Basically it breaks down to sugar in the body and that causes more health problems. I call it a "Wolf in sheep's clothing... Best to enjoy sugar in the cake you so kindly provided for the group.
Happy to share tips since you both have shared so much that has helped me fall in love with watercolor and sketching loose :) I want you both to live long happy lives to continue to impact the world as you both so beautifully do!
Indeed 😊 thanks for the comment. We had oat and soya, in view of environmental considerations, personal preferences from our guests and health. These things are complex, and in the end a tablespoon of oat milk in your tea is likely less harmful than the myriad of biscuits we offered hehe, so we went with what was requested rather than placing my own personal views on to our guests 😁
@@TobySketchLoose well when the guests request Oat Milk, this is where I give respect to the power of Great Marketing to have them think they are doing something for their "health." You are very kind in getting what the people want and very wise. As the saying goes, "give them what they want, not what they need" :)

The weekend looked so much fun, though slightly scary to some like me who is very apprehensive about sketching outside. I will have to bite the bullet and go somewhere for the day and just get on with it. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us.

This looked like such a fun class. Bath is gorgeous. I would definitely feel more comfortable sketching in public if lots of other people were doing it too. (My brain read the title as Colin and Toby sketch in the bath, a very different video!)

Looks like you had a great time. The location was beautiful, but then again Bath is beautiful. I’ve only ever been there once some 20 odd years ago.
