- So i think this is a very good alternative to the usual Vellfire and Alphards. I borrowed the car from Nusa Otomobil at Glenmarie, the authorised dealer for the Vito Tourer.

This has more room as it is actually a Merc Van which it’s based and derived from, its quite popular over here in Europe UK etc by people in the trades. It has the space but then you will also have to deal with Van issues I.e parking wise it is very very long and wide. So you have it, Alphard for 8seats on a smaller footprint or this which is more spacious but altogether much bigger
Good review. It's much better than the Metris we have in US. More expensive though.
This is the family MPV that many people are waiting for, it sits 10 yet has enough luggage space. Perfecto

starex 2.5 more torque, much cheaper..but in terms of reliability dont know.

You should hv mentioned this is actually a commercial van. Yes it can be a MPV as well but Mercedes has V-class for that.
Am just not so sure about the registration does it falls under private or company registration.
The problem is, it's not a commercial van. This is a passenger MPV, subjected to passenger car taxes.
I thought that MPV cost +400k, didnt expect islt cot under 300k!!!

curious how is it compared with hyundai starex... same 11seaters. diesel with high torque. of coz benz is premium brand. but hyundai starex looks like a compelling deal as well in term of paper spec.
Of course it's a great deal, every Korean car is.

Vito isn't the worst. V-Class is. Vito is a 4 row people carrier at rm290k. V-class is a 3 row peoplr carrier with a differemt dashboard at rm450k. Same sound proofing, same commercial van seats. I judged the V class in comparison to Malaysian market. For those with Alphard and Vellfire but still not enough seating capacities, Vito is a rm60k cheaper option with more seating. The disappointed with the V Class is that they didnt bother to mount proper passenger car seats or better sound proofing. They just changed a dashboard.
