When I took the proctored Mensa test, I missed the 98th percentile cutoff by a couple of points. Then I took the Miller Analogies Test and qualified for both Mensa and Intertel (top 1%). Later, I took the Terman Concept Mastery Test (Form T) and scored high enough to qualify for the Triple Nine Society (99.9th percentile and up). I have remained a member of TNS. People often talk as if each individual has a fixed mental ability score that remains unchanged throughout life, like a Social Security Number. This is not true. What people actually have instead is a certain characteristic I.Q. range.
I had a score of 25/33 in the pre-test and have been told that I'd have a chance to conduct the real mensa test. I left out 5 puzzles because I was short in time. Otherwise congratulations :) . The funny thing is that I still doubt my intelligence because of my school teachers. In that part, you can tell how the environment plays a major role, too. Genetics aren't everything. At the end of the day, we still have to work hard in order to achieve success along with a little luck.
Congrats! I was also surprised when my scores qualified me (although I didn’t take the Mensa test, I took the WAIS-IV). I also didn’t do particularly well in school, and also occasionally experience imposter syndrome!
You are one of the few people who can explain Mensa to a general audience without drawing a raft of predictable complaints. Examples: (1) The only “genius” behind Mensa is getting people to pay the money to join; (2) Members are only compensating for lack of “real” accomplishment; (3) I.Q. doesn’t measure intelligence,just how well you do on I.Q. tests; (4) Mensa attracts narcissists.
If I had a high IQ I'd just join to make a few intelligent friends as the last few years have convinced me that most of the population is either stupid or just goes along to get along. I'd guess a person with a high IQ can easily make the money to keep up membership if they want to.
I would like to think that being a member of mensa among a more higher intelligent group of people would actually have a better social structure being among people with a better more capable understanding in general than that of people with ordinary reasoning ability that would over all make for a better foundation to build a group upon there by being around other people of understanding like minded people therefore having a more understood point of view such as boundaries between persons that actually understand each other like for instance, when engaging a group member in activitie and conversation knowing how to present things in such way and manner after going through all different possible scenarios being well though through knowing all the people are on the same playing field of understanding which would make for higher levels of standards between each other. A chemistry between people that can only be flowing active in such an enviironment of highly intelligent people making it a more rational, pleasant atmosphere taking it to greater heights of enlightenment. I personally would like to get around to becoming a member of mensa after I get some things in order first and when I do become a member I would like to look into opening up my own personal mensa club chapter somthing like a v.i.p club for mensa which would conist of a lounge, arcade, pool tables,workout room, swimming pools, computer lab, and whatever else I'm sure it won't be the first of its kind. open a mensa club mainly just to build personal relationships, friendships, contacts, connections, acqaintances, and business.

My opinion, your teachers racially profiled you , what is being done to sooooo many !!!! powerful life story! life is not about intelligence as of IQ there are many types one of which is emotional intelligence ! all of the above is nurtured
On my mensa Quick online IQ Test they said After I was done with the test it said You're IQ Lies outside the area the test Is able to measure. We are hoping to extend this area as soon as we have gather more data. So either way I'm Off the charts Just go to bed I'm not sure yet😅🤣
