Also, Courtney doesn’t talk a whole lot. She spends a lot of time on vocal rest. I’ve been friends with Mike and Bill for a long time, and have worked with them and Courtney for over a decade in different bands. They’re all very humble people, and I’m so happy for them and proud to see how far they come. Mike used to sleep in my parent’s basement when his first band would come through on tour years ago, sometimes playing to no more than 5 people.

Thank you for this. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who has such emotional reactions to certain songs, and this song and Constance just hit different. Reading through the comments, it's nice to see others who seem to "feel" this in the same way I do. This is my hands down favorite track of theirs - and I've heard them all.... this one - chills. Every time I put it on, it goes on repeat like 10-15 times.. It just speaks to your soul. Once you dig into the lyrics a bit as well - "It could all be yours... " The record labels just tantalizing them - just do what we say, and it could all be yours... those birds of prey - waiting to feast on them... Then Courtney, With the power of a dying Sun - climbs the altar, kicks those bastards from the label out and assumes her rightful place as our Queen of Lyrical and sonic bliss...

I just saw these guys live at Knotfest, Melbourne. Holy shit has she got an amazing voice! My jaw almost hit the floor when she started screaming. Having only heard this song on the way to the show for the first time, it didn't register that it was her 100% of the song. Now I am hooked on this song and slowly discovering the rest of their music.
MAJOR Architects vibes here. And honestly this song brought tears to my eyes on the first playthrough.... Not sure what does it, but occasionally a beautiful and well composed progressive metal song just hits me in a different way.
The combination of outstanding riffs, screamed vocals and poppy female vocal chorus lines reminds me of a German band who never got the recognition they deserved! Check out 'Virus Jones' by 'Deadlock'. A perfect blend of aggression and melody. Of metal technicality and pop sensibility.
