Please, Ashley, please review Season 7 of Sistas girl this season pretty good. The new writers are really doing a good job on this Season last episode was good! ❤
This has been his biggest problem. His first few movies were actually good, especially for the time period. But his stuff is now dated and it seems lazier than when he was getting produced by Lionsgate. It feels like AI is writing these scripts for him, but honestly I think even AI can do better.
@@gennsuiRight because there was no reason for the audience to be invested in the story or the marriage from the beginning because there was NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. 🤦🏿♂️
The movie did highlight how you should NOT engage, date, or get in a relationship with someone who does not think good of themselves. If someone thinks that they're not good enough, leave them where they're at. Too many individuals try to "change" people, and they just end up changing who they are to compensate for what is lacking.
I thought the movie took place in savannah Georgia or other coastal southern States, because I saw spanish moss on the trees, but I got confuse when I saw they were in Metro Atlanta (Henry County) to be exact of course. The funny thing is that this is North Georgia and there is no spanish moss on the trees up here, you see that near the coast. I know because I am a Native Atlantian.
@@SheniceSays214 Yes but he’s tarnishing their legacy with shitty ass scripts, plots, costume, hair and makeup. 🤷🏽♀️ Like come Tyler on, he is too huge , & his work will never get nominated. Are peope afraid to tell Tyler his scripts are terrible? Meagan was doing her typical Lifetime channel acting, while Corey was something out of Shaft. 😂😂😂
Thank you for confirming how I felt about the opening scene. I was watching this on my lunch break- I had to turn it off and come back to it 2 business days later at home
Corey's character despised his wife because she was weak like his mother. He took out his resentment towards his mother on his wife. He always initiated divorce because subconsciously he wished his mom would have divorced his dad instead of putting him in a position to have to kill him. As a victim of marital abuse I was able to look past the unrealistic scenes and questionable acting and get the message. I liked the movie overall.
Makes sense. Plus, having Ava kill her husband instead of her dad (or new boyfriend) killing him was a good "feminist" ending. Tyler Perry was likely inspired by Enough (starring J. Lo).
Same here. Being a woman who is divorced my ex husband was JUST like that. My ex husband had issues with his mother & in our marriage took those issues out on me. I HAD to leave him. I had no choice...🙏
This movie was stupid right from the start. Why would Ava marry into this trash family? What did Dallas do for a living? I wish there was better character development. I wanted to know more about the family dynamic of Dallas’ family. For example, it seemed like the older brother was the “leader” and anything he said went. Also, it would have been nice to understand what really happened with his father and the whole “she made me kill him”. Also, Dallas’ relationship with his best friend seemed so unauthentic. The relationship between Ava and Benji felt rushed too, like one minute she didn’t want anything to do with him, next minute that’s her man. It feels like Tyler definitely rushed through some important parts.
It’s definitely because a lot of our families left Mississippi and moved North. On both of my sides my family is from Mississippi and ended up in Chicago. A lot of those roots are still there at least with the older generations
