This is a great video. Very helpful. I would love to see a video or get your insight on what to say and not to say on your "Work Experience" section. Key words to put down and not mention. By the way, I got my BSEE from SUNY IT in Utica, now called SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Hi, conservative Engineer. When are you planning to do the video about how to input the work experience. I would like to know what are these keys works that will help the application and which words not to use once filling that out?
Hey thanks for stopping by! Didnt make videos in a while because of work and licensing stuff! I will make this video next! 👌🏽 if you have any questions you can always just contact me on Linkdin, Mohammad Ahead, PE
04:35. Hi, how did you know 1 year was approved for your masters? I have a masters, but I cannot see on my portal if they are giving credit for my masters? Also, they reviewed and verified some of my work experience, but it still shows total experience as none(0).
I believe New Jersey now decoupled the 4 years of experience from the PE exam. Is that true? If so, I shouldn’t have any issues transferring to New York after verification right? Thanks for the content!!
Hello! This was very helpful. Just one more question, at what stage should we mail the Form 1 to NYS? After NCEES send the application to the board? How does NCEES process overlap with the form 1 submission?
I have the same question!! I already filled up NYS application and paid for it...NCEES application is almost done just waiting for my refrences to respond However, I am yet to do the PE exam next summer
hi Mohammad, my BE degree is from FOREIGN and I already had my COLLEGE MAIL out ATTESTED TRANSCRIPT and DEGREE to NCEES and they verified my education on top of that my MS in EE engineering is from USC which was also easily verfiied by NCEES electronically. one thing that i see on MYNCEES is Credentials Evaluation. NCEES is telling me this is must since my BE Degree is from foreign. its another 350$ fees man. on top of that you mentioned the 100 $ NCEES will charge at time of submission and then each STATE BOARD has their own fees. i am thinking easily 1000$ will be snatched . in these tough times its not easy to pay all these fees. please advise if i can ask my EMPLOYER for some reimbursement. for now they pay for my PE RENEWAL fees which is every 2 years in CALIFORNIA Thanks
Are the requirements to apply based on the state specific board requirements or do the NCEES have their own? It's my understanding the requirements such as education and experience are state specific.
unfortunately it doesn't :( you have to find a PE here to approve your experience. I have a few friends who have their PEng from Canada, struggling to find a sponsor PE over here.... but hey when I open up my own firm, I'll help you out if you ever come to NY!
Also I saw your other comment about my accent and I must say I came here from another country and it took me about six years to completely learn English but my accent went away with practice! But it is completely fine to have an accent and I’m assuming you are from Canada so you must have a little French accent in your speaking 😎💯
@@kindaconservativeengineer2902 Haha, I didnt want you take it bad, so that's why removed it after typing it. But great work man, no am also from a different country.
@@kindaconservativeengineer2902 So, are you meaning that the US P.E can approve the Canadian Work Experienec or it has to be a complete 4 year US experience under a P.E? Thank you buddy!!
haha dont worry i never take anything bad! even hateful comments on my other videos i welcome! it would have to be work experience in USA from what i know BUT if you find a PE who has his/her own firm here, they can help you out ;)
Hi Friend, I am applying through Nevada. They are really helping me, they waived my PE and FE exam, accepted the reference I have available (1 PE, 3 P. Eng, 1 reference from back home Bangladesh). I have M. Eng (Civil) from Concordia University, Montreal, QC Canada, and B.sc in civil Engineering from DUET, Bangladesh, my degrees are now in evaluation. But, they ask me to create NCEES record. where my experience need to accepted my NCEES. I submit my experience but NCEES asked me to revise. Just to let you know including Canadian 6.5 yrs govt sector (Project Engineering, Public Works & Services and Airport infrastructure) in have total 14 yrs work experience. I need some help how exactly I should write my experience. Thanks

Do you have to have more then one PE sign off on your experience?
Yes you do.

Correct

Why not just fill the NYS app directly w the board? Why involve NCEES for an extra step ?
I have the same question!!

Does outside US work experience count as well (Canadian Experience) in that 4 year required work experience? Thank you!
