Uzbekistan is a very beautiful country but there's no need to discourage people from visiting another country. Italy is literally full of places to visit, it's a very diverse country from both historical and natural point of view. If tourists only know Rome, Venice or Milan it's not Italy's fault. I hope people could visit both Uzbekistan and Italy and enjoy the beauty they can offer.
Absolutely! The point is to encourage people not to just follow the stream and instead try to look for less visited places. ~94 million people visit Italy each year, which is not sustainable for the country and actually harms more than it helps. Esp since tourists will inevitably visit the most popular cities. No RUclips video is going to change that, unfortunately :)
@@OskarandDan Just found your channel because of your trip to Haïti (amazing report, by the way). I definitely want to go to Uzbekistan, especially since they have become tourist-friendly. Hope you get to visit also to Kazakhstan. I've been 4 times already and the southern capitol of Almaty (Alma-Ata) is an amazing city full of modernism and very, very friendly people.
@@OskarandDan Have you ever been to Umbria, central Sardinia or the Alps? Not seen hoards of tourists there lately so have a go there if you like peace and quiet, you might enjoy them. Btw, except in Venice and maybe Rome, I've never heard an Italian say that tourism damages the country. One thing is mass tourism to the city, another is a more nature/slow food focused experience in the countryside.
Thanks so much for this series, and I do hope you are partnered with the country. You have certainly sold it to us, so beautiful. We can’t wait to visit as soon as travel opens back up from our home in Singapore!
We’re not partnered with them, unfortunately😂 Just really loved it! People are typically never going to assume you’re a couple there. We always say we’re friends and people never really ask anything beyond that!

An important country along both the ancient and contemporary Silk Roads - the old land route linking Asia and Europe for trade. The contemporary equivalent would now be called as the Belt and Road Initiative
That was so amazing guys! Jag är otroligt taggad för att semestra där och se hur ser de historiska plaster i Samrkand och Bukhara. Eftersom jag är själv Tajik, och mest det befolkning folk är Tajiker det kommer bli spännande o besöka Uzbekistan.
Great video 👌😊 and a question about the breakfast you got.... There are meat and dairy products on the table. How did you explain you don't eat that without offending them?
We left those plates unopened (they were covered with plastic wrap as you can see) and luckily no one was there so we just left them untouched :) Hopefully they gave them to someone else the following day🙏

People go to Italy for a reason. Not all people have the chance of doing what you do. If you could only afford one trip in your life, I am sure most of the people would choose Rome, because it is wonderful, and historical. In this case, it is very interesting you are showing other places, but that “don’t go to Rome, Milan, Venice” vibe sounds a bit arrogant. I understand your point, but humbly, I don’t think it is not addressed in a good way. Nonetheless, I still like the content. It is just my opinion ;).
@ why do you think that western civilization is upper than others? Be respectful for everyone .

@@topdogn1only173 I am not saying it is above others. What I mean is that of course for people from western countries Rome is more attractive to see because they are basically seeing their own history instead of something they don’t feel completely identified with. Those two places are obviously interesting to visit, but if you had the chance to go to one place in your life and you had to choose between Rome and those, of course people would go to Rome. It is their history. I am saying it because it is super arrogant to say, “don’t go there, it is too mainstream, bad for the planet or whatever”, if you have already been there.
@ the Rome's history is relative only for Italians and their neighbours, but for others the Rome's history as far as uzbek . For example Americans , and do you really think , that they feel Rome as their own ancestors? In this way they will choose Uzbekistan than overcrowded Europe countries . The authors wanted say so.

Yes trashing a country like Italy to make a point for Uzbekistan(yes is so beautiful) is just silly.
Why is this channel so underrated...
🙏❤️❤️❤️
Loved this video! Brilliant photography, editing, narration and music choices. You transport us, albeit fleetingly, to an amazing place!
Thank you for showing me a place I had never heard of!

you really should plan to visit IRAN. the most underrated but hugely potential for tourism.
I want to go but have heard you can only go by expensive guided tours if you are American.
I have wanted to travel here since 2017. We are going in 2 weeks finally !
Such a beautiful country, someday I’ll go there for sure 😍
Wow thanks for this video definitely will visit there❤️
i really dislike the title (Don't Go To Italy, Go Here Instead)
100% agree with you
What’s the name of this hotel ? I am going next month and really want to stay here for this beautiful view
Looking at your breakfast, Bukhara can be very dangerous for one's figure. Go at your own risk! Another good video!
