Beginners often ruin their hands by playing on cheap guitars and by never doing hand stretches and warm ups. If you are serious get a guitar with low action, stretch and play more than you watch videos. Been playing over 60 years and in old age my greatest blessing. Dont give up.
Am I the only oddball that finds a full F barre chord to be easier than the Fmaj7 chord? With my hand in that shape, I can't for the life of me bring my thumb over the 1st fret. Either way, great tutorial. I've learned a lot from your videos!
Nice one! Might be a good one to add in to your premium course to get the hands used to the pinky and ring parts of barre chords, particularly the f chord. Definitely one I'm going to pick up to practice that bit.

Yeah I struggle with the barre (amateur, admittedly) but that wrap around thumb is super umcomfortable
Yeah if you're going to wrap your thumb around you may as well do the barre chord in my opinion
