Pseudoregalia is a cool 3D platformer with tons upon tons of neat movement mechanics! In case you'd ever want to try a fun, fast, innovative 3D platformer.
speaking of fun, fast, maaaaybe innovative (its prequel basically invented a crucial speedrun strat featured in sonic frontiers), spark the electric jester 3, emphasis on fast as you'll see, if not know, highly recommend playing spark 1 and 2 first if you want to understand... fucking anything about the story really they're also great games, spark 1 is the better game overall due to its polish over spark 2 due to lake having experience with making 2d sonic fangames prior to spark 1, and spark 2 being his first 3d platformer, though the latter is a bit more vital to the story
I would love if they made a full unique 3d platformer. There really aren’t enough solid 3d platformers, mario odyssey, bowsers fury, and even the older Mario 3D games are so absurdly good feeling and well designed, it’s super hard to make a 3d platformer that can compete in that space.
Fun fact: I got celeste for free because a GameStop employee turned my 5 dollar monthly membership reward into a eshop card and celeste was discounted to be exactly 5 bucks plus the gold reward points I had. Best coincidence and purchase of my LIFE
The bubbles make me happy. If I remember correctly, the Celeste devs did a stream where they played SJ, they encounter the bubble return berries and said something along the lines of "why didn't we think of that?" So, that's cute to see implemented here.
@@Flembons they weren't invented by sj and base-game does have keys with bubble returns (chapter 9), but yeah. Also, I like how the cassette rooms here use the loading screen from celeste as their backgrounds. that's also really cute.
oh hey i didnt know this came out!!! this is super cool thanks for covering it :D also for a sec i thought i knew you and then i remembered Oh inscryption arg coverer! so. yeah cool!
Nice Vid! A little bird told me that Vista World is an interesting 3D Platformer with some sick movement that you may enjoy. The little bird continued to explain that you can Playtest on Steam, and that a major update is right around the corner!
Saw someone recommended Pseudoregalia, and the movement tech is definitely there, but the look and feel of this game screamed Toree 3D, Toree 2, and Lunistice to me!
While not necessarily a 3D platformer, Sunset Overdrive has very simple movement mechanics that can combo along with the combat that makes for a very fun experience
A Hat in Time is a good game with fun mechanics and storyline, basically one part is you get hats from collecting yarn, and theres a total of 6 hats, each with special abilities. In one act theres two different storylines, but hey, who am i to spoil? Point is, its a fun game and is available on pc, xbox, nintendo, basically modern gaming items. But i shouldnt get on a ranting spree, but 1 mkre thing, i suggest getting the 2 DLCs. Thats just my recommendation though.
"..more 3d platformer games?" A Hat In Time is literally this! Very momentum-focused with great controls! Demon Turf is okay too, but that one is less responsive in my opinion..
3D platform with very agility based movement stuff.. i heard from nitro rad that demon turf is really good the main character is in 2D but the game is full 3D
21:20 this seems like a bug. Basically while climbing there your character just vomoletely ignored the velocity it should have gotten from the platform, and instead just moved by absolute velocities instead of relative velocities.
The game i recomm3nd isnt ne necessarily a platformer and im new to your channel so you might have played it but i think you should play ULTRAKILL perhaps. You cah go fast and the more you can keep up with the games stuff the faster you go and ther3s more than movement to love.
Those Graphics are more DS than N64 imo
More like indie PSP or 3DS game.
Nah, is definitely a high res DS game
Some of the Pokemon DS games used this 1pixel celshading outline
Yeah
Celeste 64 DS

came here to say this. Do not sleep on pseudo
i absolutely love the sm64 soundfont used in the soundtrack
I personally don't but i can appreciate its inclusion
“you two are so gay” is the best line in the whole game
my favorite part too xd. it's always a cute jab when a friend goes "You're so gay" only to follow up with "i love that about you"
@@SawBSketch W-what kind of friend says that...?
@@Akai_Music the best kind 🌈❤️
eh
And that’s CANON!
A Hat in Time is a great 3D platformer that has some pretty nice movement. Check it out if you’re interested.
Was about to write this lol
I wanted to buy that for Christmas with my bf once. He regretted insisting we don't do that

Jak and Dexter, and Ratchet and Clank enter the chat
a hat in time and psychonauts
I still play Galaxies on my wii, and it's still so amazing. And Sunshine I play on my phone upscaled, and it looks and plays amazing.
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271
Ratchet and clank isn't really platforming focused tho

just letting ye know, you did miss 5 strawberries (and each character has 2 extra dialogue options too!)
And a hidden car too lol
This actually works quite well. Interesting how different it is from that other 3D celeste fangame on yt.
The bubbles make me happy. If I remember correctly, the Celeste devs did a stream where they played SJ, they encounter the bubble return berries and said something along the lines of "why didn't we think of that?" So, that's cute to see implemented here.
Y'know I didn't even realize base Celeste didn't have those. I completely forgot those were added in SJ

what does sj mean?

I love how this expands on the story!
I don't like the idea of seeing your own farts due to the cold...
the feeling of holding your breath during leaps of faith is just so relatable
Right in the first second of the first level I can hear Mario 64 soundfont
Omg new dialogue? This is so cute.. I gotta play it myself

Torre 3d is a good speedy 3d platformer and a hat in time is the goat
Duuuude, this is official by the Celeste team?!?! So damn excited!! I was obsessed with that game!
Saw someone recommended Pseudoregalia, and the movement tech is definitely there, but the look and feel of this game screamed Toree 3D, Toree 2, and Lunistice to me!
A hat in time is very similar if you're looking for a game with really fun fluid movement with good air dashes.
I'm definitely downloading this!
You made it totally work. Well done!
for some good smoovement 3d platformers, i gotta recomend pseudorgalia and a hat in time,
The Big Catch is a game of note coming at some point to fit your 3D play forming needs

I am looking forward to play Celeste Odyssey
Wanna second Hat In Time for a great 3D platformer!
well this is cool
You may like Pseudoregalia, a great 3D platformer with tons of techs
This proves a game, even nowadays, doesn't need to have top tier graphics and FPS and scaling. Just need to look clean and be fun. Mainly fun.

It would be so cool to see this running on an actual n64
Psudoregalia is a sick 3D platformer that has some lick ass movement sort of like this.
This reminds me a LOT of Toree 3D 1+2
this game would be so good on its own, celeste doesn't need to be made 3D, but this does look really good

Am i the only one that hears "First step" in the caset sections?
That track is indeed based on First Steps! The full Celeste 64 OST is on Lena Raine's Bandcamp page in case you're interested.
I’d play that.

Could this be a test bed for the next celeste? Remember that the OG one started as a flash demo.
I kinda hope so, I'm already in love with just this little demo

I thought this was an actual Nintendo 64 game, kinda disapointed :(
the camera of this game is very bad, the same as mario 64 :)
Looks more like a NDS game than something from the N64, if i can say so. I know, i know, who cares, but this kind of thing annoys me.
