- Goth Queen, Siouxsie Sioux's second song from her first performance in the U.S.A. and her only North American performance in 2023.
She was scheduled to headline CWF on 5/20/23 but the Pasadena Fire Marshall shut the concert down before her set (during Iggy Pop's performance) due to incoming lightning storms.
A makeup show was scheduled for Sunday 5/21 with Gary Numan, Iggy Pop and an extended 90 minute set by Siouxsie.
I remember seeing her with The Cramps as the opening band in the early 80s at the Hollywood Palladium. The Cramps stole the show!

I've never seen Siouxsie live, and was supposed to make this trip with my homies from the record store, but wasn't able to make it. Even though the vocals are not at their best, I believe I would have still loved being in the Queen's presence and enjoyed the set.
She's not my Queen. She wasn't great. She wasn't even good. "Mediocre" is rating her generously.
Her concerts were always an event to see and be seen!

Her voice is really varying on these shows. She sounded good in Belgium, but she sounds a bit rougher here. I really am cheering her on though and am happy she's touring again.
I think it's based on who is running the monitors. If the venue has shitty monitors then it could be a challenge for her. Her timing sounds off.

Not many know this.. but she was a heavy smoker. She did quit smoking. But it did do something to her vocals. Also she has foot problems that's why she's wearing special orthopedic shoes that look like sneakers.

@@Duke_Togo_G13 whoever did the monitors and staging this year sucked. The effects on the monitors made it impossible to see well on many artists. Don’t get me started on Echo.

Siouxsie is the female Morrissey. Her voice just haunts you in every song and its such an amazing feeling. You can't help but be mesmerised

I saw her at Main St, Queen st, Auckland 41 yrs ago, I was 17 then, a punk and living on Ponsonby Rd, she was fucken awesome, swinging her mic stand at some idiot skins there, after the show she ended up at Scanlan st, Grey Lynn, partied at my mates house, crashed the night, honest to god, always loved her style, voice and attitude.

A big fan of her work and in my opinion no woman ever was better than her as a live performer, but she just can't sing at all anymore. It's not about expecting her to sound like 40y ago, this is just really sad to see.

I missed the show as I left right after Iggy, but as I'm trying the various videos people have posted, I can't find a single one where she sounds halfway decent. And people are tripping over each other praising this? This is substandard shit. This lady should not be singing anymore. And they booed Ashley Simpson at that Super Bowl halftime show years go for this.
Interesting - Most of us will take her at any vocal level at this point. I absolutely loved every second. Who knew I'd ever get to see her again. On that note - Just saw The Cure on Wednesday - Robert sounded GREAT. I didn't care for a second whether Siouxise would sound anything like the 80s at her age. It was perfect imho.
Oh, COME ON, MAN!! I don’t expect any of these people to sound like their records from 40 years ago due to age and wear and tear, but most of the acts were able to deliver reasonably well. This lady was a pathetic joke! I own a couple of her albums and if you’ve been on Facebook, you’d see that there was tremendous hype last year and this one about her show. On my way out, before she went on, I was regretting leaving but now that I’ve seen the videos, I’m glad I did. I know you love her but she can’t sing! This is a sad career ending for someone with so many fans. It’s a charity case rather than to be applauded for a job well done. As a fan, you deserve better. KISS is another band I love, but I refuse to go see them even for free: Paul Stanley can’t sing anymore. I go to hear a band perform. I give slack due to their age, but with KISS or Siouxsie, this is too much. A ripoff.
It’s not all about vocals! It’s about the love we have for her. It’s about the dancing, the visuals, the song choices. I did a siouxsie dance as an homage to her! its everything. While I admit she doesn’t sound the same, I must say you're welcome to not join us!

As a collector of over 40 years, even I can say she CANNOT sing anymore. Her voice is shot. It's the years of smoking. I've seen her hundreds of times, and she just can't do it
