I appreciate you watching. It may be a bit before I can get that video out. I’m currently doing a job in Miami FL. I’m a plumber by trade so I don’t have that with me.
Very good review I watched the whole video which is very unusual for me. I bought one about six weeks ago and it stays adjusted. I think that speaks to the quality of it. Your video showed me things I didn't see. Thanks for a quality review.
*Phenomenal portaband. Worth the wait in replacing my stolen previous model **MyBest.Tools** Variable speed, with an adjustable governor, adjustable shoe, and locking articulating forward handle. It's beefy, but feels just incredibly well built and solid, will eat through strut, emt, rigid, all thread, whatever, all day.*
Man the sound on your video was great! Awesome job bro. I also noticed your editing. Again real good job. Thats the way its done. You need put in the effort to get the result! Nothing worth doing is easy! You are progressing nicely.
Hey buddy! First off. Sound, video quality and production all top notch. Well done! Also I really like wen products for what they are. Your overview on the quality of the machine demonstrates that they do a pretty darn good job! That led light is a nice bonus also and it looks like it’s super bright! Great job! Can’t wait to see future work on this 👌👌🍻
Very cool gift! I appreciated the walk through. Are you goijgnto do another review after several months of using it? It will be interesting to see how it stands up over time!
I am considering this being my next purchase. Thanks for the vid! Will check back for updates. Within a short time this thing would pay for itself...is my initial thoughts.
My friend is moving to a very small place, and decided to sell his. It has about two hours of use. If it looks and works like yours, this is a solid buy for any hobbyist. Turns out that the Jet, Grizzly, and Rikons are pretty much made in the same place/factory in china that these are. Some have laser beams and stuff, but I'll pass if the fence is good over time and the motor holds up/
On most of the saws the aux fence can be rotated 90⁰ and have the long side flat against the table so you can move ur fence in close with small stock and avoid running into the blade guides. I was looking at the saw alot before getting my used one
Great review- actually one of the best and most thorough product reviews I have seen! Quick? Do the legs have a mounting hole in the bottom so they can be attached to a mobile base?
When you were sawing I heard a pulsating sound, mine does that to, BUT never did before. Did you notice that? What could that be? I thought it might be a bad alignment bearing. Can’t figure it out and it bothers me. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Kevin
Could be the blade at that weld point. Pretty sure it’s a different thickness right at that spot and could resonate a different sound as it passes around the pulleys.
Great job unboxing and reviewing the bandsaw out the box. I'm looking at getting a entry level bandsaw and I'm leaning on the Wen 10" Thanks for sharing. Have you had a chance to provide some insights as to its performance, what you like or dislike?
Don’t you hate phones auto corrects? 😂 Not sure if you’re saying it will roll over or it will be all over. My freaking phone is always changing what I had typed.
I got one of these saws about 10 days ago through Lowe's. Ran into a problem. I have checked all the major retailers, Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, True Value, Ace Hardware. No retailer stocks a 72 inch blade for this saw. Of course it can be ordered but that doesn’t help if you break a blade. Can’t just go pick one up and your project is delayed for at least several days. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks. The window for returning this saw will be closed in a couple of weeks. I prefer to keep it but not if blades are going to be this difficult to find.
There are some specialty wood stores around us here that carry a huge variety. But in most cases most just order extras to keep on hand , just incase. It’s always cheaper to order a couple than to buy at the store anyway.
I watched another review and the only complaint the reviewer had was having to take the fence rail off to change the blade. I'm wondering if after getting the zero set, the fence rail could be cut in half at the kerf to allow the blade to pass through during a change?🤔 Appreciate the review as I'm looking at buying one.
You know I keep meaning to get another blade but haven't had the time yet. so I'm sure what choices they have on size options of what will work. Thanks for watching means a lot that I can help people.
@@Grimmeute Thank you. Yeah I just purchased this band saw and want to adventure into bandsaw boxes to give as gifts. The blade that comes with it just isn't tight enough around the cornes and can't get a 72 Local. Thanks for getting back to me. Merry Christmas.
Aloha, I am just a step away from ordering one for my hobby shop making 1/4" blanks from exotic hard woods to be made into Japanese and Chinese chopsticks
@eric patton Oh wow that what I been trying to do with this one. First project. But my design and wood choice isn’t going so well 😛. Break too easy. Like to see how yours looks
Inside there are 2 different size blade wheels so you get 2 different speeds depending on which one you have your blade on. It should be written near there, inside
I think it’s been doing great. I do recommend getting a smaller blade to go with it. The one that comes with is not so great if you plan on doing some tighter turns. Thanks for watching sir 👍🏼
I’ve been trying to get a part for my bandsaw for weeks. It’s out of stock and no idea when they’ll be back in stock. I would think twice before getting this.
@@marinasdesignco7416 yes this is the case with many companies because of lock downs. Production on building parts has dropped, everywhere except countries that know this pandemic was a scam.
Great video! I subscribed. You'll probably want to get a better blade and up the speed for cutting wood. I'm impressed with what I've seen of the saw. I could use a small bandsaw for detailed cutting as I use my large one for milling and resawing.
I think that an in depth review should include quite a bit more actual use of the saw. I don't mean to be unpleasant, but I keep looking for in depth reviews of this saw by people who actually put them to work. I'm sorry, but unboxing it, setting it up, and showing me things that I already knew from studying the sales literature isn't an in depth review. Supposedly, this saw can resaw stock up to 5 1/2 inches wide. If I were doing an in depth review, I would show that being put to the test so that everyone can see how well it performs. Surely, there's a scrap piece of pallet board laying around you could do that with. Also, it's not amazing that the manufacturer balanced the wheels. It's necessary, not amazing. Sure, I know that if I think I could do an in depth review so much better, then you might say that maybe I should. But that would be missing the point. I'm not trying to be nasty and sincerely hope you will take what I've said constructively because people really are looking for in depth reviews that are really in depth reviews.
is it possible you could do a three-year review on that Wen Bandsaw? Thanks for your channel!

I’ve had the exact same model for about a year and it’s still running like a champ
WELL DONE..........THANKS
so how do you like the wen 10 now that you have had it a while?
how if your bandsaw holding after two years???? , Thanks for your video.

Hmm, I believe it does. If I remember correctly. I’m not home right now. I’m actually in Miami Fla doing a job and won’t be back for couple months.
Does it cut 4×4 ?
Yes it will cut 4x4.
Three years in, how are you liking the saw ?
It’s actually been really good. I’m not a professional woodworker so I don’t use every day but it’s still working fine.

I still have it. Works great still. But I don’t use it professionally. It’s just part of my weekend project tools.

When did you saw a Wen band saw for the first time?
When my daughter and husband gave it to me for my birthday.
How do you like the working height off the stand?
Seems to be a decent height. Got back problems so hunched over isn’t something I enjoy.
Have adjusted the speed on it?
Yea. It’s not that bad of a switch over.

It will take down to a 1/8 wide blade. That’s the one I want to get for stuff like that.
