😅im so glad you talked about paths being wide enough to fit a wheelbarrow 😂 good to know you think wide paths help keep bugs down and excessive moisture which leads to mould too.
This is a really interesting case study, thanks for putting this video together!
Love how you made it a three year staged plan.
Love all the bird calls there! The black cockatoos love banksias.

What awesome information!! Thankyou. My first no dig raised beds are being built in the next fortnight. I will have approx 10 beds that will be 42m x 1.2m, and 5-7 beds that will be 30m x 1.2m, plus extra wicking beds for veggies to keep alternate sales boosted up during Winter and to supply fresh veggies to our native animal sanctuary at the back of the property. I have an area at the very front of the property that I will fill with perennials.
I am flanked by a tomato/cucumber/capsicum farm to the side, a potato farm at the back, and a carrot farm across the road.
I have another slightly smaller area to expand over to just over the driveway if needed too and bore water that can service both areas for irrigation. I'm thinking about eventually using this area for hoop houses to extend our growing season - and another perennial bed.
We live in a Primary Production area with many market gardeners, greenhouses and a number of commercial flower farmers.
    I'm so excited!! ☺️

Thank you for this, so informative. I would love to buy bigger land and create a flower farm in a few years time but for now my daughter and I are going to trial growing flowers in our yard and see if we are successful and enjoying it before committing to something bigger.

Yes do it!! It’s amazing how much you can grow even in a smaller space. There is an aussie on Instagram her account is called petrinablooms and her cut flower garden is in her suburban backyard. It’s gorgeous and can definitely be done!! She hosts workshops there too :)

Oh I loved this. We have moved and looking at what to do with our yard. It's a change from arid to tropical 'with a frost' - so my flower options are so much better!

Yay I hope you put in some flower beds!!! It’s so rewarding. Your older climate sounded a bit tough!

Thanks so much for all of this really useful information. I love watching your videos. I am about to start a flower farm in Victoria. I am just going to do test plots this season to see if the flowers will grow well on my farm. Then next year I will be looking at starting my business and selling flowers at farmer’s markets.

So much great information, thank you. I'm starting my farm right now. It's much smaller than Jenna's and I'm doing it by hand. I'm using sileage tarp to kill grass and weeds, and a broadfork for the soil. If it was any bigger I would definately have at least rented a tiller to get the beds done. It's been a lot of work but I'll have everything done in time for fall planting of cool season annuals.

Hi Sue! That’s awesome you can do it all by hand. It keeps things simple. All the best for your cool season plantings!!
