Hello David Holdo is good but she can't replace Rose Tico. Remember when you could get 12 of her for $12 dollars in the US at least. Rose Tico is the best banger figure ever..... LoL

T.) she was barely available anywhere near me. I saw her once in 6 inch form in a shop, and that was it. She is still available in one on-line shop, but remains 20+ quid for an old headsculpt... With my penchant for kitbashing and making new figures, I'd absolutely love a handful of Ticos, as a base female body in jumpsuit. 😍 😀 I could do all sorts with that.
@@davidedge2828 Yeah unfortunately the Rose Tico figures are long gone at this time. Those were on clearance about a year or so after The Last Jedi and no one would buy her figures. I know Holdo is still available in a few places going for $10-$15 US dollars 💵. I was expressing my memories of her fan hated figure. I did eventually get one after her price went up a bit , I think $10 US dollars 💵. I believe many were purchased by customizers that made more desirable characters from her figure. I just got done pre-ordering some Ashoka figures I want, but I'm holding off on Morgan I figure she'll go on sale/clearance in a while. Of course I was planning on doing the same for Andors Mon Mothma but I ordered her at full price from Entertainment Earth a week+ ago, but whatever.
Army building is expensive but buy a figure or 2, when you toy hunt. You’ll have your army. Especially if you find them on clearance. I have 6 storm troopers boughten within 4 years. 6 is my perfect army #. My death watch is 6 too. But I found them @ $15
That's a good point. You don't have to army-build all at once with some things. This Stormtrooper in particular has been rereleased so many times. Spreading out your purchases over the course of actual years, you can still amass quite the army. -Justin

When it comes to just a legitimately perfect figure out of the box, there isn’t a lot, but the 2020 Stromtrooper is one of them. When I think of the potential of how GOOD TBS can be I think of things like the 2020 Storm. Great video boys!

I think, initially, people held onto the old Stormtrooper body as better, because it's difficult to admit that you bought an army of them and the new release makes all of your Stormtroopers obsolete at a stroke. Fortunately, I only bought two of the old, I currently have 8 of the new. Six are Mandalorian and two are ROTJ 40th...
it’s so funny hearing butterfly joints referred to as “butters”, in NY slang “butters” are what you call timberland boots so every time I hear that term and stormtroopers in the same sentence I think of a stormtrooper in Timbs lol
Nice review....HOWEVER, the shadow trooper from the ShadowTrooper biker scout 2 pack is actually AS good, if not better than the SandTrooper. IMO, this and the Sandtrooper are better than the 2020 Stormtrooper in most ways except for the articulation...IMO. 🙂✌ Keep up the great work guyuzzzzz! 😆👏👏👏
The old Stormtrooper body suffers from having bowed legs. The sculpt is also rather skeletal. HOWEVER I absolutely agree and love both the Shadow Squadron Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper. The helmet sculpt is perfection. The Shadow being the only time they ever reused the Sandtrooper helmet. The weathering is also peak on that Sandtrooper. One of our favorites in the line for sure! -Justin
Agree it’s the best, and it’s really not close. I can’t say how many times that I’ll be messing around on my shelves, rearranging figures or fixing a shelf dive or whatever, and my eyes pass over this figure and I literally can’t look away for a minute. The proportions look so good that I have to look at it really close and admire how it looks like there is a little person in there. I can’t say that about ANY other figure in my collection of over 340 black series figures. I’ll go further and say that Wave 26 that this figure was a part of is the single greatest black series wave released so far. Youve got this figure and the ESB Vader, both of which you can make an argument are the best black series figure ever.(Vader is my TBS favorite figure personally). Lots of collectors have these two in their top fives at a minimum. Then you’ve got the kamino clone which has a sweet paint job and a decent body as well. Then you’ve got beskar mando which has flaws but is a great looking figure. Then you have two great looking ROTJ figures in Ackbar and Teebo that each have great sculpting and paint apps. This wave hits. Hard.
The only QC issue I ever had was on the rocket trooper, his O ring shoulder pad snapped when I tried to move it out the way. Besides that this stormtrooper is a 10/10
Perfect figure in my eyes especially when they fixed the helmet warping issue from the first batch. This will never be outside my top five. I love all the variants on this body too. Total banger
I freaking LOVE the 2020 Stormtrooper. Blows the original right out of the water on pretty much every front. My only "complaint" is that I wish they didn't all come with just the standard blaster. Like if 1/3 of them or so had come with the rifle that the original had, that would've been cool. But that doesn't take away from the figure itself which is, as this video pointed out, pretty damn awesome. Great video, boyos!
As someone who doesn’t army build much, the fact that it doesn’t bother me at all that the Starkiller PulseCon set comes with 2 Stormtroopers should show how much of a banger this figure is. Can never have too many bucket heads!
It's a great figure, it's essentially this figure with a backpack, pauldron, and DLT-19 blaster. The only difference on the actual figure is the regular 2020 Stormtrooper has the black dots on the torso painted, the Jedha Patrol version does not. -Justin
I loved this figure, but when I received mine with a warped head, I was so disappointed. In general, this is a good figure, but, I know I really wasn't the only one who had a bad experience with that, and it's a shame, cos it really soured the experience. The QC on Black Series went so bad around this time, but I understand it's getting better. The new Malgus is really getting me back into the BS, after I started buying SH Figuarts instead. That Malgus is perfect. And now I think BS (other than clones, god they. are abominations) is coming back into being an amazing line.
One figure I’d love a reissue on the 2020 Stormtrooper body would be a version 2 of the Star Wars: Force Unleashed Stormtrooper Commander from the Gaming Greats line. The old body looks off.

Hello Justin and Nate thanks for another great Banger episode. 2020 Imperial Stormtrooper figure is an awesome black series figure. I myself only have 3 of these figures at this point. And by that I mean I have 3 plain, regular 2020 Stormtrooper figures. I've got 2 Flame, 2 Mortar, the 2 Scar Squad Troopers, and 1 Rouge One Stormtrooper figure. I've got quite a few original Stormtroopers in my collection and I'm not dumping any of them at this point. I've got 3 Battle Damaged Troopers, I noticed you guys didn't mention the second Stormtrooper from Mando's Battle Damaged Stormtrooper, a figure I wasn't able to get for myself. Gaming Greats Shadow Squadron Stormtroopers are very awesome looking in my opinion. I've got 2 of the Lava Planets Red Stormtroopers that came in one of the four packs. And I'm probably forgetting a few others made on the original Stormtrooper body. I myself can place my older Stormtroopers with my newest Trooper figures and I'm ok with the way it looks. Man I can ramble on. I myself would love to see a new modern Scout Trooper figure but I wouldn't get rid of all my old Scouts. In realistic warfare not every soldier has the newest uniform and newest weapons available, I like variety and a bit of realism in my troops. And yes the original troopers might not look like real persons in the armor, but they look good enough for me. And I do appreciate you gentlemens opinions and other's thoughts on the new and original Trooper figures. It's an awesome looking figure. Now make it with pinless double jointed knees and elbows. 😁 Give it bicep swivel. I love bicep swivel. They should make this in Black as a Shadow Trooper. There was a red variant. A lava Trooper was it? Make that too. Speaking of troppers in need of an update. Deathtroopers. They were skinny as Hell and the head is tiny. Make that like this with butterfly joints and overlay chest armour.👍

i have high hopes that the new format for Clone Troopers (removeable helmet out of the box, trigger hands on both arms) will take the place for clones that the 2020 Stormie has for Stormtroopers. Still wish they gave us a set of both regular hands and triggerfingers for both sides but if my only options are 1 each or both triggies, i'm taking the triggies. And i hope future re-issues will get this body too. I can't collect at the moment which will be a bitch in the future but i still want to continue at some point and maaaan an updated Cody would be so fucking dope. So dope.

i admit i'm a simp for my bois in white, i'm generally okay with the helmets as long as they're not super deformed like my poor Echo's (he has a bad case of asymmetric helmet mold; still love him, i fixed what i could and i'm fine with it by now). The Shiney Reg's aftermarket price will at some point kill my wallet, i'll need so many now that Aliexpress doesn't ship to Austria anymore ;_;

When this figure dropped in Canada, I ordered two off of Amazon Canada. Then my friend said, Hey, doesn't Vader usually have six or so? I went back and ordered six more and that was it. Amazon Canada was out. Nobody in my toy group on Facebook was able to get it. Back then it was a little harder to get BS. Then I had to get the remnant trooper. And any other trooper on this body including Kreel and Mic. Custom Misty off of another. Now I have way too many. But it's a good problem; the more you add the better it looks.
I don't even army build and I have 9 of these guys in various forms. I would like him to have a holster, but that is picking nits. Thanks for the content.

i admit i'm a simp for my bois in white, i'm generally okay with the helmets as long as they're not super deformed like my poor Echo's (he has a bad case of asymmetric helmet mold; still love him, i fixed what i could and i'm fine with it by now). The Shiney Reg's aftermarket price will at some point kill my wallet, i'll need so many now that Aliexpress doesn't ship to Austria anymore ;_;
Would love if they would copy TVC and give us a Pulse value pack of four in a cardboard box for $60.

When this figure dropped in Canada, I ordered two off of Amazon Canada. Then my friend said, Hey, doesn't Vader usually have six or so?
I went back and ordered six more and that was it. Amazon Canada was out. Nobody in my toy group on Facebook was able to get it. Back then it was a little harder to get BS.
Then I had to get the remnant trooper. And any other trooper on this body including Kreel and Mic. Custom Misty off of another.
Now I have way too many. But it's a good problem; the more you add the better it looks.
