  • Brought a good friend along who used to own an stock M140i to see if he could notice any differences driving my fairly heavily modified M140i.

    When I first got my m240i I spent the day driving in and around the South Downs, I recognise some of these roads. Great roads and great cars, bliss. Thanks for the videos, they’ve been very useful in helping me decide on which mods I’m going to get. I’ve ordered my dampers and I’m saving up for an LSD!

    I went from this setup (B8’s & Stance) to B16s and a lightweight square set up and it’s even better. Ride quality about the same but much even more flatter through bends and less oversteer. I’ve now took the plunge and arranged for a stage 1 engine and gearbox tune. All the best 👍🏻

    I bought an m240i last year, Eibach Motech springs/spacers first, then remapped with bootmod3 stage 1 and xHP stage 3. All the power is still very accessible and honestly hasn't really compromised the car, highly recommend provided you like being kept on your toes. B8's next after watching your videos man, cheers!

    Nice one reg. Glad to see your car has the correct number of doors - love the 3 doors best.

    You're right in my backyard, some decent roads around here. The B2121 you're on coming out of Harting towards Chichester has an awesome twisty road going up to the top of the hill, whether I'm on the car or bike it's ALWAYS a hill climb😎

    Looking at this exact set up. Good video with all the information I was after. I completely agree that the Motech springs need the b8 dampers to work properly.

      Thanks James. Really glad it helped you make that decision! The B8’s are just what the 140 needs 😎

      Good video. Gotta agree. My 140 nearly 3 years old and after fitting MP LSD, ACS suspension, underbody and front braces and lightweight wheels it's become a keeper. I was gonna change for 340 Touring but don't really need the space (dog fits fine in the 140), just love the size of the 140 and the 340 is just not worth the large amount of dosh over the B58 powered 1 series.

    Traction mode is far better than sports plus for getting grip and launching, sports+ throttle is too spiky causing traction to cut in too quickly, traction allows you to gradually apply power and actually get the power to the road 👍

    B8 are nice upgrade to eliminate the bouncy passive M140 suspension - I just enjoy the KW Street Comfort even more as the B12 I had before

    B8s are a brilliant upgrade to the M140i. They transformed mine.

    I have to sell my Boxster S type 987 Gen 2, need 4 seats. Looking at M140, M240 & 230i. I was thinking the 230 with a lighter nose will be more agile? Anyone have experience to comment?

      It’s tempting, I won’t lie. Only because I know how much potential the B58 has..

      @@roadreg1820 Why haven't you? Honestly it transforms the car - MUST HAVE. Get BM3, so easy to flash and control yourself. Stage 1 no mods required and it's a huge difference. Perfect with your diff. XHP is cool but a nice to have.

      @@roadreg1820 yes same here, actually you don’t need anymore power below 130kmh, or let’s say in gears 1-3:
      but it’s so hard to resist not to release the extra ca 120hp which are still there

      @roadreg1820  3 года назад

      @@legendgalaxy it’s not exactly slow without the map.. also, it’s on PCP. But yeah, I’ll definitely consider it in the future. I wouldn’t mind feeling that extra power

      Stock M140i is easily powerful enough for UK roads.
