Dude, I've gone through about half your vids so far, you're incredible. I'd comment on them all if I had the time. Oh, and I'd *kill* to see you do another Sylvester bass cover, I always loved the bass in "I Need You" or "You Make Me Feel Mighty Real" and you could totally pull them off. Keep up the amazing work.
Just go any bass forum like that. They all sound the same because they're paranoid about strain injury and have to obsess with effects to get a good tone :D .
Hm... not sure, I bought the bass (vintage JB '66) around '2000, the pickguard was on it then, but the bass had been refinished previously and possibly the pickguard has been changed, no way to tell for sure. It is a bit bent and folded here and there, does not fit the body tightly, and it has an old, deep "smoked" look, which might indicate it is original. I'm not a JB specialist though.
Funk as hell could listen to this all day!
Learning to play with three fingers like that has taken a lot of practice!!! Fantastic!
