Very creative and interesting. Something cool to see made in Excel would be a battle rpg game system with attack timings like paper mario. Even if every attack had the same timing, it'd be interesting.
My Balders Game battle mechanics are a little closer to the attack timings in paper Mario. If you have a free couple of mins - please have a look and let me know if that’s what you mean?

Some RPGs have you press a button during your attack animation, and how well you time your button-press affects the amount of damage you deal. Undertale represents the concept very well. Basically, its a way to add some action game style gameplay to an RPG. I imagine it'd be an interesting challenge to implement in Excel.
