Mark - The Burgh Hunter we are going to hit it again next week. Unfortunately, there was an in ground pool put in the back yard and the dirt they dug from the pool was spread around the back yard. 😞
That was a good hunt for a "short hunt" It looks like there was some earth work done. I bet is you go back and go real slow, the silvers and largies will show, but better do it soon, or you'll be diggin in snow ! Thanks for sharing, GL & HH
Bottle Cap Bryan a lot of the front yard has been covered with the driveway and a turn around. The back yard has an in ground pool and the dirt from it was spread around the back yard. 😞 Planning on hitting it at least 1 more time! Thanks for watching!
That’s the same problem I have here in Northern Virginia. The houses that were built, pre-1900, and are still standing . Have had additions put on, paved driveways etc. which either covers, or displaces some of the prime digging spaces. But keep swinging !
I noticed the background on your page. Nice finds! Find all of that near where you live? Any videos of you Civil War hunts? I’m headed to South Carolina for a Civil War hunt the first weekend of February.
There is a good amount civil war activity in the general area. I am trying to get some content together, but that “working for a living” thing severely impacts my quality hobby time. Hopefully I’ll have some diggin content soon.
Short hunt at a home built in 1836. I gave the home owner the Indian head penny.
Thanks for sharing. The oil lamp wick might have a patent date on the round advancing screw. i found one last year from 1863
Thanks All Metal Mike! I did not know about the patent date. I will check to see if it has one.
@@SilverSleuth cool
@All Metal Mike I couldn’t make out the patent number on it.
@@SilverSleuth darn..maybe next time. thanks for letting me know.
That area is going to share its secrets with you. I can feel it
