Silver Sleuth oh yes mine came with legs already. Mine is the high banker/ sluice/ concentrator the keen mini max three in one. So I always have to run my miracle mat through out the hole thing. I have heard of that magic mat! That is really good to for flour gold
Just bought the Keene A52s sluicebox waiting to get it delivered...can't wait to hit a few spots i know of. My order is on back order for 2 to 4 weeks. Gone be fun to use this sluice when i receive it. Great video thanks for sharing the info.
I upgraded my a52 to the a52s , I was in Fairplay last week , 4/20/2024 , 26° and snowed on me the whole time , but I found some color , not bad for 4hrs
Thank you for this video. I could not figure out how to add mine! I really like your addition to the center wingnut. That is something I will have to do to mine as well. Your assessment is highly accurate, I will loose it! :)
Only the 3/16” drill bit was needed. I didn’t realize the holes needed for the brackets to hold down the front of the new screen was a 3/16” until the end of the video. It’s a super easy upgrade to do. All of the measurements and part numbers for the conversion parts are listed in the description.
Hey buddy thanks for the great video now that it's been some time I would like to hear your opinion on how it performs versus the original a52, besides the legs how do you find the upgrade, I have an a52 and am wanting to either add a highbanker/dredge hopper set up or purchase the new kt10 trommel but am unsure if I want to do the conversion as I may just add another 3ft section of sluice to the lower end of my a52 and use various gold hog matting or miracle mat for anything the 52 is missing thanks for your info and looking forward to a response.
@Yukon Nate. Thanks for the reply. I walk a ways when I pack my sluice in and out. Everything I carry is weight. The more weight I carry the more work it is for me. Most of the time, I do not have enough water flow for it to work effectively. I live in Michigan and most of the gold I find is flour gold. I have have been classifying my material and using it without the super sluice upgrade. I still use the adjustable legs but they also added weight.
Hello, I have the a52 as well and wondered if it’d be reasonable to add the classifier using original mat and riffles. In your opinion would one of the original riffles line up at a good spot to add a fastener bolt and attach the screen?
@SunsTo7 you still have to drill. Make sure you have a C clamp or a set of vice grips like I used to hold each swivel mount in place. You don’t want your drill bit to walk and yours to not line up.
I don’t remember the total costs. I purchased everything for the conversion directly from Keene. The adjustable legs work fantastic! They make setting up the sluice so much easier.
There is a nut/stud on the new riffles. The wing screw goes through the classifier and screws into this nut/stud. The original riffles do not have the nut/stud.
You'd have to come up with a different mounting system, and I'm not sure if you'd get enough water flow for.the originals to work correctly 🤔 . I'm going to build a new sluice using my old riffles and a different mat. Small sheet of aluminum and couple of bends should be fine.
I converted mine as well
Bought the classifier screen
Bought a 10 x 36 Combo Dream mat
Works absolutely outstanding!
I can't wait to try it this spring. Just got mine all assembled. Thank you for the video.
Buddy that’s bad ass!! I really need this upgrade!! Thanks for the video!!
Anthony Clark the adjustable legs are a GREAT addition to the sluice. No more having to put a stone, or something on top of it to hold it in place.

Congrats on your purchase! It is a great sluice box, but it needs a lot of water to work properly.

They took you up on your idea with the lock nut good call
Quest 2 Wells I spoke with Mark Keene about it. He LOVED it. Said they were going to add that to the new ones.
@@SilverSleuth and they did

nice addition !
@Richard Duke the adjustable leg addition by itself was a huge improvement. It makes setting the sluice up WAY easier!!!
Got my 1st A 52 sluice look forward to buy CLASSIFER screen turn into A52S thanks for video
@nomad terry the adjustable legs make setting up the sluice SO MUCH easier!

The nut that the thumbscrew screws to to hold the classifier is attached to the new riffles. There is nothing to attach it to with the old riffles.
Thanks Sliver Sleuth, Great build. One question, the drill bit is 3/16 so are the rivets 3/16 also?
@SunsTo7 yes they are. The 3/16” drill bit isn’t needed. A small counter sink bit for the inside would have been nice.
@@SilverSleuth What do you mean that a 3/16 drill isn't needed? I still mus t drill right.
@SunsTo7 sorry.....was in a rush when I typed my reply earlier and wasn’t paying attention. It’s the 17/64” drill bit that is not needed. Sorry 😐
@SunsTo7 you still have to drill. Make sure you have a C clamp or a set of vice grips like I used to hold each swivel mount in place. You don’t want your drill bit to walk and yours to not line up.
What was your total cost I have same sluice but wanna see if justified to just buy a52 s or do the conversion
I don’t remember the total costs. I purchased everything for the conversion directly from Keene. The adjustable legs work fantastic! They make setting up the sluice so much easier.
Would the classifier still work with original rifles?
There is a nut/stud on the new riffles. The wing screw goes through the classifier and screws into this nut/stud. The original riffles do not have the nut/stud.
