i played that back in the day on 360 lost odyssey and eternal sonata were my favs and most memorable! i really enjoyed "infinite indiscovery" as well on xbox360 the "dreams" where you read it ppl seem to love from what i read on gamefaqs back in the day. But i still had a boxtv then and the words were so small and i dont like reading although i didn't really give it a chance. the only text reading i really enjoyed was from "NIer (or nier 1.22 remaster)" when you start part 2
Recently picked up lost odyssey, blue dragon, infinite undiscovery and more recently. Really made me appreciate that whole 360 jrpg era that I didn't know about being on ps3.
I brought it originally on the 360 and my 3rd disk was damaged just kept crashing thankfully with the series x it gets downloaded to the system when I put the disc in and was finally able to finish it , Great Game solid 10/10
Funny story about "Star Ocean Till the End of Time", I actually found a typical copy of the game at a garage sale. It had disc 2, but it lacked disc 1. Fortunately I found disc 1 online for cheap so it's all good at the end
Feels like this is the best place to chime in and point out that Erick is absolutely wrong for calling The Last Hope the best Star Ocean game. Story wise its the worst largely in that fact that while the devs stated (at the time) that it was from a separate timeline/universe as the first three, it introduces plenty of lore stuff into it that directly contradicts lore from previous games due to time line inconsistencies. Baccus and Faize are prime examples of this. On the subject of Faize specifically his relationship with Edge is such a braindead attempt at copying the relationship between Spock and Kirk from star trek, Literally down to his race being bargain bin Vulcans (that introduce a lore inconsistency by introducing symbology to humans before the events of SO1) Faize as a character is shown as being a massive Edge fanboy (because Edge has sword skills equivalent to highschool level kendo) that he ruins a major end game plot point by deserving what happens to him. I get big bothered when people try to claim SO4 LH is better than SO3 TTEOT story wise.
fun fact, both ps3 and ps 4 will play pal games out of the box, in the ps 3's case, you just need to make sure you're using an hdmi cable and not the analogue cables. so the pal only versions of games can be imported. oninaki is only 20 bucks or so imported via ebay with shipping.
They aren't cheap outside of Steam Sales, but alot of the newer games and remasters in this list also appear on Steam. Great if you have a Steam Deck or a decent PC to play them on..... and the Steam Winter Sale is coming up in less than a month
I bought Valkyria Revolution for $20 (paired with Chronicles 4 for $20 as well) after watching one of your older videos talking about it! I'm about 3 hours in and have been enjoying it so far! Definitely feel like I already got my monies worth. If anyone can find it for like $10 to $15, it's an absolute steal and worth it! I've also had Lost Odyssey for ages on my Xbox One and am now itching to play it after all the praise! Thank you for the great recommendations, Erick!
You are the master of digging deep, Erik, and going cheap! I believe all these games are sooo worth the money! Especially Xillia! One of my favorite Tales games!
I got into the Dark Souls games a year ago and was blown away. Love 'em. Code Vein just seemed very underwhelming in comparison. Neat setting and anime waifus, but not very fun otherwise. Being 1/3rd walking simulator for flashbacks was probably the worst part.
"La pucelle" is a familiar term meaning "virgin"(female) in french. So it's kind of funny to say it all the time, and mostly "la pucelle tactics" lol. I also saw a character is named "culotte" which means "panties".
I'm really happy that you recommend Valkyria Revolution. I'm currently playing through it again and imo its my favorite Valkyria game behind the 3rd one. I pre-ordered and bought the limited edition when it first released and don't regret it one bit. I wish more people had an open mind and just enjoyed the game for what it had to offer. Because it's actually very fun and like you said has an amazing story.
A game that came to mind for me is Fairy Fencer F. It's a decent game, but what surprised me the most when I played it for the first time a few years ago was that the story changes DRASTICALLY when you play it again/new game plus and so do your companions and enemies. i was thinking of that too! I played it once was worth the $9 i spent and wouldn't mind playing again. It was simple yet lot of things going to make it interesting and bunch of stuff to unlock to make character stronger and it was quirky and straightfoward. maybe i am getting older but i have no patience on complex jrpgs/rpgs anymore. I hate spending hours studying and figuring out how the game works and most efficent best way to play.
@@bubbaXzone I don't mind, especially when you have a fantastic world like the Legend of Heroes games have, not only in itself for every game, but also in general for everything combined. One thing that was probably a bit counterproductiv for th game was that you had to play it a few times, I think at least three times, to get a better picture of what's going on overall, but that probably comes with the whole "The game changes over multipleplaythroughs"
Started playing Phantasy Star universe recently. Pretty cool. Doesn't play on the series X but it's pretty cheap to pick up a 360i at the moment. Blue dragon, lost odyssey, infinite undiscovery and more run on series X.
Erick, I remember the days when you didn't own a switch. People clamored for you to get one and talk about it and you did. Well, the time has come for the next evolution, you need to get a Steam Deck and talk about games that can run on that.
Any older and some newer PC games should work. Only issue is getting it yo work with proton otherwise install windows. No need to go over the deck specifically
Oh my god! Yes! Phantasy Star Portable 2 on PSP is the most hardest to find! I found 1….literally 1 physical copy of it for $13 dollars. But the problem was…..I had to literally travel out of state to get it. Honestly. It was money and gas well spent for that game, because it is absolutely amazing to play. I also have Phantasy Star Portable 1 as well. I also recommend lord of arcana on the PSP
Phantasy Star. Another childhood nostalgia. The 1st one, I wasn't so sure since I only played it when I was a kid. I never did understand the story. The 2nd one gave us a character creation, though we didn't exactly play a big role. More like we were just a witness to a story unfolding from the last one. Disgaea is also a fanfave. The english voice acting alone made me chuckle non-stop. It tackled some lighthearted comedic scenarios to downright seriousness. Sometimes it even hides that seriousness under a veil of comedy. The one with the sardine loving vampire was my personal favorite. The Agarest War felt like a Visual Novel title than a JRPG in my opinion. Because of all the romance options. And Valkyria Revolution? No. I'm not touching that garbage fire. As for .Hack? I remember playing the first trilogy with my cousin. At first we couldn't understand a single thing because we bought the 2nd episode rather than the 1st. After a few months, the game finally showed up at our local game store, and we quickly understood that we were playing a character who is playing an online game. Seriously, that's the game that practically gave birth to Sword Art Online. I practically nearly forgot about it. The 2nd trilogy felt a little too angsty because of the main character. He's just whiny and bitchy the whole time but mellowed down as the story progressed. So I find him both annoying and relatable. I might get .hack G.U. trilogy when it comes on sale. Because it's way... WAY too expensive for November.
Phantasy Star Online will always be my favorite, but the Universe saga was a lot of fun. Still got portable 1 and 2, wish we got Infinity in English. Star Ocean 2 will also always be the best Star Ocean Game.
Dimensionalllllll Doooooor! Till the end of time, a matrixlesque, 13thesque entry in Star Ocean that was my favoritie on the saga, thx for the remembering of this masterpiece! Also Wild Arms saga, the beautiful soundtrack and easy pace narrative, WA 2 is my favoritie, but the WA5 was a great one too, for all the nostalgia. Amazing
Hi Erick, and everyone; there's a Switch game called Labyrinth of Refrain, is a first person dungeon crawler, you know something about it? and maybe a sugestion, this could be a topic for another future video, games EO-like on modern consoles. Thanks for the video and you're content.
You have no idea how much I appreciate you recommending God Eater to people. I really want to see it spark in popularity because I have a bad feeling that 3 killed the franchise
3 killed the franchise? I highly doubt it. I thought it was great, the story wasn't that good as the previous 2, but man did they improve the combat so much. It feels more fluid with the controls.
Hey Erick, recently I've been thinking about getting a Saga game. Either Romancing Saga 2 or 3 or possibly Saga Scarlet Grace: Ambitions. I would like to know if you have any thoughts and any of these 3 games. They are on sale right now on PS4 and I've been thinking about getting at least 1 of them.
Lost Odyssey is the only reason I still have my Xbox360 slim. And I loved Tales games, especially Xillia 1, easily dropped 240+ hours into it and I still don't get bored. I love the characters and the story, and the sequel is also a great game. But I always find myself going back to the first entry instead.
@@death5talker45 I'll get there eventually! I started the trial series at the start of this year. and I'm now on cold steel 4. Safe to say this has dominated by gaming time.
Let me tell you Twilight of the Spirits is underrated and had SO much potential. I do have a friend who was obsessed with the OG Arc the Lads and never played this one and found it's entry hard bc of it's setting in the series. End Of Darkness is kind of a crying shame as I think Twilight had a lot of follow up potential.
In the UK I think we just got a Day One edition for Revolution with a soundtrack instead of the Vanargand Edition. Guess there was a shortage of metal pins 🙃
Phantasy star universe was also a pretty simple yet deep mmorpg one of the best features is the photon arts leveling made your character feel like something I have never played an mmorpg that allowed you to play a role in combat and feel like your are leveling your character instead of just grinding your character if that makes sense but playing the offline game you can see how you can enjoy the simple gameplay with custom combat and friends if someone wanted to make money fast with an mmorpg copy psu
star ocean till the end of time was my first star ocean. brilliant. Tales of xillia was my fave game on the ps3 its bloody great. i never played xilla 2 tho
I wish Lost Odyssey can get ported to the PS5 and switch, I don't own an Xbox system and tried playing it on the Xbox 360 emulator and it keeps crashing halfway through the game during the dungeon cutscene
Idk if its still the case, but about 2 weeks ago I got a copy of Tales of Arise for 20$ at GameStop. Insane sale price for the value Im getting for this game. Especially being my first Tales series.
Saw copies of dotHack at a retro store one day, and they wanted 200 to 4p0 dollars per game. To make it even worse, the cases were in horrible shape. They looked like a dog chewed them, then dropped in a puddle and run over.
For the switch I can reccomend Ikenfell (ten bucks digital) as a fun indie RPG with a simple but entertaining story, fun characters and a couple cool twits to the battle system. Also, it's more of an adventure game but it has RPG-style combats; West of Loathing (eleven bucks digital). It is WEIRD but it has some REALLY funny dialogue and a ton of fun quests and puzzles.
I had Lost Odyssey as a teenager for my 360. I had no idea what turn based games were so I sold it. I played it a little and didn’t get into it. Now I’m a turn based combat fan and I want to get this game. I regret that I got rid of it but I’m glad it’s not expensive
If I had the ability to make about 50 balance changes to Wild ARMs 3 it might be my favorite RPG ever. I'm big on RPGs that distinguish themselves with a theme, and 3 is the one that more or less actually keeps to the Western theme.
I got both tales of xilla one and two for 15usd and lost odyssey for 10usd both are great and I got them from previous videos where they were mentioned and loved both those games
I was able to get Nier Automata and SMT V on Switch for $30 each on Amazon this week. I'm looking out to see if I can get 13 Sentinels for about the same price during Black Friday.
Tales of Graces 12 bucks on Amazon Witch and the Hungry Nights 2 10 bucks on PSN Tokyo Xanadu 4 bucks on PSN and GOG Brigandine 2 12 bucks on PSN Summon Night 6 20 bucks on Amazon Side Note: Saga game with the best story out of all of them hands down, Saga Frontier 2 coming out in December.
i am so glad i found your channel as abig fan of rpg games i love the channel and you videos i must say todays video i was saying got that got that and so on to most of the games there was a few i dont have but mmost of them i do have them and i love how you let us know what you think of certain games honest opinion not fake like some do i love that about this channel i must say i have bought some games on your recomendation and glad i did cos i loved them great games so THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the hard work you put into your videos and bringing us some great games to check into thanks so much 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Woah - I was always interested in Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, so I might pick up the Switch Version, if I ever get one (Front Mission 1 & 2 might be what makes me finally get one)
Wild Arms 3 is not that cheap in Europe. It goes well above 30€. Oninaki exists in both version here in Europe. Switch version isn't expensive yet. I really liked the editions that just came with an artbook and soundtrack. I wasn't aware that Xillia is still that cheap. I own a similar one for Graces but that's expensive. I'd also like to add that the Xbox 360 version of Star Ocean The Last Hope is different in some details compared to the PS3/4. Two JRPGs that aren't expensive I'd recommend are the Digimon Cyber Sleuth games. At least the PS4 games are cheap. The Switch got a double pack with a reasonable price as well.
wild arms 3, lost odyssey deffo agree on great games a few other ones id suggest are the legend of dragoon my personal fav game of all time. jade cocoon 1, the last remnant, not sure if these are jrpg,s but defo some of the best rpg,s iv played
lost odyssey i got a corrupted save somewhere along the line and i could never get to complete it not sure why but i bought like 3 copies always seamed to freeze up at the ending lol
Lost Odyssey in the UK, digital is on offer on the Xbox market place at £9.99. I recently picked up Soul Hackers 2 on the PS5 and Diofield Chronicles for the PS5 from online retailers each were £29.95. So for fairly new releases they are coming down in price.
La pucelle tactics is literally 80€, and lost odissey like 40€ in Europe bruh. You should do your research for Europe prices. We really get fked when it comes to jrpg
I don’t get how to play that Lapucelle game, the mechanics to manipulating that tiles is confusing, maybe i have to read the tutorial again idk i think it was poorly explained or I was just stupid to understand.
On the switch, for £20 or less, you can get Final Fantasy 7&8, Collection of Mana, Destiny Connect, Neo The World Ends with You, and Tales of Vesperia (even though it's utter shit), Shin Megami Tensei 3
I'm not surprised to see CodeVein on the list, really. I'm not really a fan of those slower action-RPGs, but I tried it and it was fun. I think it took me about 4 days to complete it on my first and so far only play-through. I would never have bought it at full price on the PS Store (here, it's listed at 60-70€ as the full price, but I've never seen it actually at full price), but at 85% off, it wasn't too big a potential loss. Also, it has 3 songs by VAMPS (Japanese rock band featuring Hyde, one of Japan's biggest rock stars, on vocals), which alone were worth the price I paid for it, in my opinion 🤣
The PAL version of Till the End of Time is actually the superior version, it was released last and the enemy and ally combat AI that was broken in the American and Japanese "director's cut" version the year before is patched in the PAL version. It does still run 10% slower, but having played both versions, the improved AI is worth it.
if only I can load my life, then ill go to my childhoods time and play ps1 again and discuss it with my friends........ grandia... star ocean....lunar... hoshigami... breath of fire....
I would like to recomend Utawarerumono series if you like strategy rpgs though currently they are somewhat expenside i think I payed 60 and 30 for the last two games of the series since playstation took them down, but they have the remake of the first game in on there. Great series with world building and characters.
@@RazorBladezX sure I basically love the world and the characters as you definitely can feel the culture of the world besides fantasy culture. There is 3 games of main and 1 side game that does the plot of the 2nd game a different genre. Also you don’t have to play the first game to enjoy the second as it’s more of a prequel being 20 years or so before the Mask games so it’s not that interlinked just same world but different continent Basic synopsis of the first game is that the storied is centered around the masked protagonist Hakuowlo, who is who one day is found by a family of two girls and their grandmother in a nearby forest close to their village. He is badly injured and is soon found to have amnesia, so they take him to their home and treat him until he is well again. Hakuowlo is soon accepted into their village where he stays and lives with them, but before long Hakuowlo finds that life in this village is being oppressed by the greedy ruler of the land their village resides in. Sorry if it’s a snippet but spoiler. The second game is set up is different as it revolves around another amnesiac man who gets found by a girl named Kuon who after saving protagonist from danger names him Haku. She declares herself Haku’s guardian and sets out somewhat adventuring though the nation of Yamato. Gameplay is mixed between visual novel for the story and turn base Strategy RPG for battles. There’s also an anime for 2nd and 3rd games that cover the general plot but not the fun slice of life moments that are funny at times. Sorry for my long and probably not helpful explanation as not good at giving synopsis for long ass video games to hook people. But if you liked a game from Aquaplus like I had you will enjoy it most likely as I mainly played it blind because I liked Tears to Tiara 2 on ps3
I picked up Lost Odyssey at a retro store in the area and I don't want to put it down. It's so good, thanks for recommending it so often.

Thanks for the recommendations. There are so many JRPGs that it is good to be pointed at some of the very best.
I was looking for another tactical JRPG to play, thank you for God Wars recommendation!!
It is worth mentioning that Scarlet Nexus is $20 brand new right now. And used copies are going for less then that.

With Wild Arms, I always hate how Sony and Media Vision forget that Wild Arms 2, 4 & 5. exist. I would love if they threw them on the ps4/5.
You have no idea how much I appreciate you recommending God Eater to people. I really want to see it spark in popularity because I have a bad feeling that 3 killed the franchise
there is a reason why it is not popular
3 killed the franchise? I highly doubt it. I thought it was great, the story wasn't that good as the previous 2, but man did they improve the combat so much. It feels more fluid with the controls.
Hey Erick, recently I've been thinking about getting a Saga game. Either Romancing Saga 2 or 3 or possibly Saga Scarlet Grace: Ambitions. I would like to know if you have any thoughts and any of these 3 games. They are on sale right now on PS4 and I've been thinking about getting at least 1 of them.
Make a top jrpgs where you can recruit party members, monster collecting excluded
So happy to find community with the same interest, here in Indonesia I really struggle to find the people with the same passion :/
Some good choices, Arc the lad has been on my backlog to play list for a LONG time now.
Arc the Lad Twilight of the Spirits was really good and fun
@@death5talker45 I'll get there eventually!
I started the trial series at the start of this year. and I'm now on cold steel 4.
Safe to say this has dominated by gaming time.
Let me tell you Twilight of the Spirits is underrated and had SO much potential. I do have a friend who was obsessed with the OG Arc the Lads and never played this one and found it's entry hard bc of it's setting in the series. End Of Darkness is kind of a crying shame as I think Twilight had a lot of follow up potential.
Apparently Star Ocean freeze very often since it's an emulated version on ps4.
Phantasy Star Universe is abandonware and can be gotten 100% free on PC. Enjoy.
Tales of Xilia is my favorite in the series. I really wish it was on PS5 or Steam
We also got the Switch version of Oninaki in EU :3
Got it for cheap as well. It was 20€ on sale, it's 30€ now so still a good price!
I saw Ar Tonelico there
star ocean till the end of time was my first star ocean. brilliant. Tales of xillia was my fave game on the ps3 its bloody great. i never played xilla 2 tho
The video section for tales of xillia is wrong lol! says vesperia for me hahahaha.
I've heard that Code Vein was like a spin-off of God Eater or something.
Amazing. The first episode with similar titling in this series came out just last month in October.
Let's see if the link stays ruclips.net/video/T9iJ22xOpBE/видео.html
I wish Lost Odyssey can get ported to the PS5 and switch, I don't own an Xbox system and tried playing it on the Xbox 360 emulator and it keeps crashing halfway through the game during the dungeon cutscene
I got Wild Arms 3 for $5 CAD on PS4 and loved it.
I had it for PS2 years ago (pawn shop deal) but only got like half way through.
The Digital version of God Wars on switch is often on sale, I grabbed it for £8.99 on U.K eshop.
I had Lost Odyssey as a teenager for my 360. I had no idea what turn based games were so I sold it. I played it a little and didn’t get into it. Now I’m a turn based combat fan and I want to get this game. I regret that I got rid of it but I’m glad it’s not expensive
If you have a xbox one or series x/s, it is currently on sale on the Microsoft store as part of the Black Friday sale (U.K £9.99, U.S $12.49)
@@dontrush4144 do you know if it runs better? 360 version had some hiccups here and there, I still loved it
@@nickcarroll8565 I've played it on series s. I absolutely love it! If there were any hiccups, then they were too minor for me to notice.
@@dontrush4144 nice! Thanks
The switch La Pucelle is out?! Need that now, one of the most underrated games ever
If I had the ability to make about 50 balance changes to Wild ARMs 3 it might be my favorite RPG ever.
I'm big on RPGs that distinguish themselves with a theme, and 3 is the one that more or less actually keeps to the Western theme.
I enjoy jrpgs because you get the best bang for your buck and I like grinding and becoming OP
wildarms 1 and 3 are some of my fave games ever (we never got wild arms 2 in the uk sadly
There is a Switch version of Oninaki in Europe.
Hey Eric. Are you gonna do a playthrough of Rebirth once the fan translation patch comes out?
i just looked up that Arc the Lad game....and I saw it for 9 bucks
In Germany you can Buy Oninaki for the Switch
I could never get into any of the wold arm games but I love me some phantasy star. Such good games
Valkyrie Revolution for PS4 is $5.99 in the US store right now.
Tales of Graces 12 bucks on Amazon
Witch and the Hungry Nights 2 10 bucks on PSN
Tokyo Xanadu 4 bucks on PSN and GOG
Brigandine 2 12 bucks on PSN
Summon Night 6 20 bucks on Amazon
Side Note: Saga game with the best story out of all of them hands down, Saga Frontier 2 coming out in December.
i am so glad i found your channel as abig fan of rpg games i love the channel and you videos i must say todays video i was saying got that got that and so on to most of the games there was a few i dont have but mmost of them i do have them and i love how you let us know what you think of certain games honest opinion not fake like some do i love that about this channel i must say i have bought some games on your recomendation and glad i did cos i loved them great games so THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the hard work you put into your videos and bringing us some great games to check into thanks so much 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
“Distortion the last hope”?”
Someone know if FF 4 heroes of light is recomendable? I think that I can get one but I don't know if it's a good game
If you want a classic FF experience with a good story I would recommend it. I really liked it tbh :)
Podrias recomendar 10 jrpg que si tuvieran idioma español triunfarian entre los fans del genero?
I'm a PC Gamer, wish you could do a PC gaming jrpgs one day.
La Pucelle Tactics!
That game got me into the nippon ichi universe
the psp Ragnarok version double down on the joke end in the ps2 version.
Lost Odyssey in the UK, digital is on offer on the Xbox market place at £9.99. I recently picked up Soul Hackers 2 on the PS5 and Diofield Chronicles for the PS5 from online retailers each were £29.95. So for fairly new releases they are coming down in price.
Microsoft announced on the US that it'll be removing 46 games from Marketplace, and Lost Odyssey is one of them :(
@ThoMario86 Definitely worth picking up if you like turn based jrpgs?.
La pucelle tactics is literally 80€, and lost odissey like 40€ in Europe bruh. You should do your research for Europe prices. We really get fked when it comes to jrpg
pro tip : whoever playing Star Ocean 3, learn to use Maria with rabbit shoes as your damage dealer, and fayt as a tank
Laughable prices video, love it
Wild Arms 3 is really dirt cheap. Saw it for 5-15$. Not hard to replace the DVD case if it scuffed.
Man I love tales of Xillia
I don’t get how to play that Lapucelle game, the mechanics to manipulating that tiles is confusing, maybe i have to read the tutorial again idk i think it was poorly explained or I was just stupid to understand.
On the switch, for £20 or less, you can get Final Fantasy 7&8, Collection of Mana, Destiny Connect, Neo The World Ends with You, and Tales of Vesperia (even though it's utter shit), Shin Megami Tensei 3
Wild Arms 3 needs a good remaster
“Oh cool I might pick that up”
Then I remember I’m afflicted by the PAL curse and would have to import the older games or play the slow versions 😓
The PAL version of Till the End of Time is actually the superior version, it was released last and the enemy and ally combat AI that was broken in the American and Japanese "director's cut" version the year before is patched in the PAL version. It does still run 10% slower, but having played both versions, the improved AI is worth it.
Nice list!
Man it's crazy how I hunted down the first two Dot hack gu games for $60 a piece and now I have both the ps4 and switch version 😂.
From these I have Arc the Lad, Phantasy Star Universe Ambition of the Illuminues, Disgaea 4, Tales of Xillia, Lost Odyssey and .hack//G.U Last Recode.
thank you Recommennin Valkyria Revolution it was my original choices to buy when i was looking first games to buy for ps4
Praying and hoping for a tales of xillia 1 & 2 remaster on ps5 or even on switch
if only I can load my life, then ill go to my childhoods time and play ps1 again and discuss it with my friends........
grandia... star ocean....lunar... hoshigami... breath of fire....
Damn good choices.
Lost Odyssey needs to be on PS5 and Switch.
Oninaki, Code Vein, and a few other good rpgs are on PS Plus
I would like to recomend Utawarerumono series if you like strategy rpgs though currently they are somewhat expenside i think I payed 60 and 30 for the last two games of the series since playstation took them down, but they have the remake of the first game in on there.
Great series with world building and characters.
Could give me a synopsis of like the beginning? What did you love about it? I keep seeing it but never pulled the trigger on it to get it
@@RazorBladezX sure I basically love the world and the characters as you definitely can feel the culture of the world besides fantasy culture. There is 3 games of main and 1 side game that does the plot of the 2nd game a different genre. Also you don’t have to play the first game to enjoy the second as it’s more of a prequel being 20 years or so before the Mask games so it’s not that interlinked just same world but different continent
Basic synopsis of the first game is that the storied is centered around the masked protagonist Hakuowlo, who is who one day is found by a family of two girls and their grandmother in a nearby forest close to their village.
