I am watching this in prep for NaNoWriMo and this is so so so incredibly helpful! Looking forward to binging the rest of this series 😀
So happy it’s helping you out with your nano prep!
I love your save the cat videos and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
Thank you!! So happy you’re looking forward to the series!
@@LiselleSambury absolutely! I love Save the Cat but sometimes it's hard to conceptualize and think about HOW to come up with these things! It definitely seems to take practice so it's awesome that you're sharing your experience!
The timing of this as I'm about to dive into my AMM revision soon.😭
Thank you! ❤️
Somehow I magically have great timing for these things haha hope these help with your revisions!!
Thank you Liselle! This was a super informative video!!❤😊
You are so welcome! Glad it helped!
THIS IS THE EXACT TYPE OF VIDEO I WAS LOOKING FOR!!! Thank you so much for this!!
Amazing!! Super glad that it could help you out ☺️
so grateful that you made this series! very helpful 😊
So happy it’s been helpful to you!!
Awesome video. Super helpful. Thank you!
No problem!
Awesome video! I'm looking forward to watching more of these series of videos. The opening image was explained really well. I'm also anticipating Blood Like Fate:)
Happy you liked it and are looking forward to the rest of the series! And thanks so much for anticipating BLF too!! ☺️
Omggggg!!!! So excited for this series! Thank you!
Excited to be doing it ☺️
These videos are SO great! Counting the days until the next in the series comes out. You are really helping me to think about my story in a different way (despite reading Save the Cat myself). Thank you!!
Yay! Happy you’re enjoying them and they’re helping you! ☺️ I’m hoping to do the next one in April
This play list is giving me so much inspiration to keep going. Thank you for sharing your experience.
So happy that it’s inspiring you!! Happy to share ☺️
Binging this series to help me with my outline; your descriptions & explanations make so much sense and really help me understand. Thank you!! 💚
Yay! I’m happy that it’s helping you out!
finally got blood like magic from my local book store and it inspired me to binge this series, which is helping me figure out some stuff for my main wip! thank you so much for not only being an amazing author but also a spectacular educator!! :D
I’m so happy it helped you figure things out with your WIP and thanks so much for picking the series up!
Thank you so much for going in depth on this. It was so helpful!
Happy to! I figured since multiple people asked about it, it would be good to do and see if it’s helpful
First off LOVE blood like magic and blood like fate! Second off, really liked hearing your thoughts on this, I just read save the cat writes a novel and really enjoyed it but I think its nice hearing other peoples thoughts on it is nice since I am new to long form writing and everything feels very daunting compared to the short stories I'm used to writing. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thank you so much!!! 🥹💜 and I can totally understand that. It can be a bit of a transition with writing long form and so it can be nice to have the structure. And I also like hearing other people’s thoughts on a structure/how they use it because even if we’re all using STC, we can come out with really different executions of it
Yay I love this video series idea. I recently read the Blake Snyder one, but didn’t love the narrative voice of it 😅 that’s so cool there’s one for novel-writing though!! And it was super interesting to hear your break down of this “beat.” And the “starting in the right place” part was super helpful!! 💛
Happy it was helpful for you! And that’s interesting, I haven’t actually read the Blake Synder one since I only do novel writing currently
Such a great video, Liselle
Thank you!! ☺️
What about if you're writing say a thriller and your first chapter is that typical teaser with the killer. Do you still include a snapshot with your protagonist after the teaser? Or before? Or something else.
I just consider that a prologue that’s separate from the rest of the novel. And then the first chapter is the opening image and I proceed from there.
Lol you can use Blood Like Fate behind you as your marker for where your links pop up!
Lol true, though lately I’ve been too lazy to be coherent with my pop up links
@@LiselleSambury I am catching up on videos so I think I just noticed because I’m watching them back to back 🤣
Lol that is a good way to notice me struggling each time 🙈🙈
It’s why I switched to putting them all in the description so I could just point down lol
Love this! Going back to this series as I'm outlining, hearing someone talk about this stuff always kickstarts ideas for me and I love your perspective :)
Yay! So happy it’s helping you with your outlining!
