3800 lumens? "China lumens" maybe, as almost all China flashlights on Ebay are indicated at 1000 to 6000 lumens (or more), but most are actually between 50 to maybe a few hundred lumens. I bought and tested about 10 of them (cheaper ones), including the one in this video and while some are OK overall considering the price, the lumens ratings are a complete joke. I have a 575 lumen Coast that was easily brighter than ALL OF THEM, regardless of the "chinese" multi thousand lumen claim.
The best and brightest (also heaviest/seemingly best built) I've found under 10$ is actually one similar to the one in the video with the XML-T6 emiter, but with a nicer design - in my opinion. Not as bright as my Coast (as mentionned), but more compact and has ultra wide beam that lights up an area very well. My only complaints are the 5 modes which are a pain to go through and the zoom, which ends up being very small if you zoom far and in the shape of the LED. The coast has a much nicer and fuller beam when zoomed. I bought one of these marketed at 8000 lumens. I knew it can't possibly have 8000 lumens, but bought it anyway (comes with 2 batteries and charger, so for the price still fair deal). I compared it with my 800 lumen lamp, and this lamp has 150-200 lumens max.
This one probably only produce less than 500 lumen. Brightness depends on led emitter, driver, reflector, battery etc. Almost all of them use cree knockout led and cheap driver and will not last longer than 1 year
i have a similar flashlight orderit from usa the brand is NAVTAC Q250 it runs on one 18650battery 3.6volt 3600mah batteri it is a 2000lm flashlight they clame it is 2000lm but more Close to 700-800 lm realisticly the throw is about 450meters zoomed out i have tested it it has a have a week beam at 450m a moonshine like beam and they clame it can do Close to 500m i have mesured it to about 450m
Chinese never writting Power ( in Watt)!?!?!? In E.U. there are Watt & Lm. e.g. 3 W=300Lm 7w=700 lm and 10W=1100Lm. Your LED flashlight is 3-5W = only 300-500Lm.
Lol you're right, it's probably not 3500 lumens, but if it's like anything I've tested, it's about 500 lumens, but it uses current limiting resistors instead of linear regulators so it may not last very long, and will use up more battery power than one with linear regulators, something with a driver that uses 4 x 7135s would be more efficient and more reliable. I used these types of flashlights for many years though, and they worked fine for a couple months, then the tail switch and drivers started to go on them. I would recommend the Convoy S2+ to anyone looking for a quality light.

alpoulin1 what would be the brightest out there for 30$
+alpoulin1 can you send an updated link as the one provided seems to be no more availble.
J'ai acheté cette lampe très puissante.elle est de très bonne qualité.elle est résistante aux chocs. Super achat.

Had mine for over 4 years & still going strong !
what type of battery was that you put into the flashlight..?
Pls look at cree website..the xml bulb only max at 1040 lumens..this 3800lm is fake
just tried my lazer battery ultrafire 3.7 volt in my xml-t6 flashlight and it works ghreat
Flat mention of a price range would have been more welcome

Great video, sold me , just sent for one on ebay for five bucks...
Eu tenho uma lanterna dessa, realmente é muito boa.
Здравствуйте! Подскажите пожалуйста, какой аккумулятор 18650 рекомендуется использовать с этим фонарём, простой 18650? Или защищённый 18650?
I use one of these for work and it's a good little torch but come on its nowhere near as bright as they sellers claim
who else knows the chapter of this song, in background music?
0:25 that's not an XM-L emitter. Looks like XP-E. XM-L has three notches on the top, not two.
Even if it were an XM-L, it could do only ~1000lm max. XM-L2 can do 2500lm actively cooled, but definitely not 3800.
oye una pregunta ke materiales tiene el boton de encender
bro can i use 1.5V battery
So this torch does not have 3800 lumens this torch actually has as many lumens a luminous flux: 400 lumen. Shines: 258m / 73m So what's the truth?
Excelente
common, this is not 3500 lums. 100 maybe at max 150
