I swear this man makes more videos about photography than actually practicing it..
Seahorse cases are made in the US and cheaper & lighter than pelican. The company i work for uses them to ship tools to oil rigs, refineries, chemical plants, etc. Contractors are downright abusive to them and we've not had one break in over a year and they're loaded with 50-70 pounds.
Harbor freight sells some pretty cheap decent cases too. Would recommend buying some closed cell foam to replace the pick n pluck foam though. 15-30 dollars for a case big enough for 1-2 camera bodies depending on size

Always get the carry on size. So in case you need to fly with it, you don’t have to check your gear in. The alternative for pelican is Nanuk. Excellent quality case.
So....what's the difference between this and a normal Pelican?
The plastic is significantly thinner/less robust.

@@PASquared correct. For light transportation in your car between places sure save the money. But for anything more and considering I’ve had my “standard” pelicans for years if not a decade just spend the extra money. Quite a few vids/reports of the vaults cracking.
B&W cases are a cheaper option and also work more then great

The vault is cheaper for a reason….wouldn’t trust it for anything more than light use
I make my own. Home Depot, Milwaukee and others make hard, water proof cases for tools. Using corrugated plastic sheet and foam tray liners I make my own inserts.
Just as safe as the expensive systems, depending on your own effort.
Also isn’t a big steal me sign on your equipment.

Shouldn't you invest in those cases that cast light to your lenses to prevent fungus?
