Exactly what I’m looking for. There isn’t a lot of content on this specific machine, and I’m trying to decide between this, the rancilo Silvia pro x, or the breville dual boiler.

Same here! It was either the Elizabeth or Silvia Pro x for me. Think I'm set on the Elizabeth simply due to footprint, the better pre infusion settings and the fact the drip tray design is better. There just aren't many videos on the Elizabeth to compare to

Sorry for the late reply, haven't used the Pro X, just the standard Sylvia v3 and v5, I hate that machine simply because of the tray design. It's a dealbreaker for me how awkward and shallow it is. Other than that, I feel both machines are equally capable and robust. Looks are similar, lelit looks a bit more modern with its screen type. I know the Pro X is around 3000 and Elizabeth 2500 Australian dollars.

My understanding is that "classic" espresso, or the traditional Italian recipe, is 7 grams for 25-30 ml and 14 grams for 50-60 ml, "modern" espresso is 18-23 grams for a 1:2 ratio, a lower ratio for dark roasts such as a 1:1.5 and a higher ratio such as a 1:3 for lighter roasts. Good video. Thanks.

Very nice video. Why did you update from the Breville?

Thanks for the feedback! Haven't upgraded per se, just using it to get a different perspective. Most likely I'll be returning to the barista touch. Don't have enough room for a big machine and separate grinder in the kitchen sadly

are you satisfied enough with coffee made on the breville, to last for another 3-5 years? would you consider saving up for a linea micra because of its smaller footprint?

    • @caffeinefix2751
      @caffeinefix2751  Год назад +1

@@jiffyliub honestly I am. Could keep the lelit but very happy with Breville. The feature set on them is crazy. Can last another 5 years easy. They're serviceable, contrary to common belief. No to micra, not my thing

I just got an Elizabeth and am looking into a new grinder for espresso to replace my Baratza Virtuoso. If you were to recommend a new grinder today, would it be the DF64, Niche Zero, or maybe a Eureka Mignon? Thanks

I have experience with the Mignon specialita and I highly recommend it, reliable, gorgeous and quiet. Niche is also compelling but too expensive here in Australia. I am currently single dosing so I see the effectiveness of the niche, but single dosing is possible on any grinder really that has little retention like the mignon. Sette 270wi is near zero retention also but louder and less reliable since it uses plastic gears and high speed

Any upgrades for the plastic steam activation knob turner?

Does it stop automatically after a set time or is it necessary to press the button again?

    11:28 isn't it more like 10 bars?

It looks like 9.5 to 10 ish on video yeah. Not sure why I said 9 but even 9.5 is decent as pressure will slowly drop to 9 and then 8 across the shot duration

A quasi un anno dalla acquisto non ho ancora bevuto un caffè decente! Devo ricorre a cialde di carta ma non mi sembra giusto dato il costo della macchina è come avere la Ferrari e usare la bicicletta

I understood what you mean without using translate, and I sort of agree with you 😅 it's not easy to get good coffee but it's rewarding when you get there. Focus on getting a good grinder, using correct settings, fresh beans, and patience! Online forums are also helpful

First you say the build quality is like a Breville then you are saying: build quality is like a Profitec.
    Breville is made in China.
    Can't follow this.
It looks like this machine is far more quiet than the profitec go.

I can't remember if i said built like a breville sorry. It's certainly not
