This 45yo limit seems so discriminatory. As a TSS482 4yr holder option. Seems like I won’t meet criteria to later apply for 186 TRT before turning 50yo, if I was to move out middle of this year as I turn 46yo in October. Yet I’ve 22yrs experience as a UK Social worker and an Australian Government is willing to sponsor me in a TSS482, but I doubt I’d later qualify for any pathway to permanency. Despite having another 20yrs working life in me before being allowed to retire. Sort of has me doubting whether I should give up a well established and exemplary career here in UK NHS just for 4yrs in Oz. I could have more to loose than gain, not being even considered for possible permanency later on. It’s a tough decision.
Inquiring for my sister-in-law. She is 44 yes old. Just completed cert 3 in commercial cookery with Ausphin International Institute Philippines- AQF Australia last September 2022. She wanted to do advance hospitality course in Melbourne but some agents said it is risky (student visa kay be refused) because of her age. We are wondering why they say that where in fact there is no age limit to study in Australia. Any advise/help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Can a spouse's age hurt a person who is themself is young enough to qualify for a skilled worker visa? For example, skilled worker, ie software developer, who is 42 is applying for 186 visa through a sponsoring employer and obviously would want to bring their spouse if admitted... is the fact that their spouse is 46 a problem? (The spouse would be unskilled just tagging along.)

@@Pathwaytoaus I have a complicated case. So probably you can't really help me via the comment section. I have been working as a teacher for the past 8 years. However my degrees are in Statistics and Economics, I have teaching certificates but not from a formal University. I am not looking to migrate to Australia permanently but my dream is to once live on every continent. I have been looking at the temporary work visa (subclass 482) but now I'm stuck in this loop of requiring accreditation, which I can't get without a working with children check, which I can't get without being physically in Australia... I'm unsure how to proceed and the issue is a lot of these visa processes are very expensive and so are immigration lawyer services, which if I wanted to immigrate to Australia permanently I would be happy to pay, but for 1 or 2 years I don't want to pay 4K or more it just doesn't make sense to me. I would honestly just do a working holiday visa but I'm passed the age cut off. Any free advice you'd be willing to offer? 🙏🙏
You're always learning new things and trying to better yourself. That's awesome.

I am a nurse aged 38 years. My husband is 45 years. I am the primary applicant, is there is any problem for my husband to get PR in Australia.

Please elaborate on DAMA. There seems to be a pathway through 494 which could lead to PR. Is this correct
Yes, there is a pathway for PR through the 494 in a DAMA area
