Did you guys see the big news??!!!!Might be the huge pick up that we were all waiting for. His name is Nick Raposo. Journeyman Backup Catcher. I’m frickin pumped!!! Let’s Go Ms!!! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏
FRIDAY 12-20-2024 - You guys were SPECTACULAR TODAY on Seattle Sports. Brock and Salk should be deeply grateful to you two! FANTASTIC SHOW! Thank you!!!
Almost better off looking 2-3 years down the road. Team probably looks more promising (cheaper) then, when you have Colt, Julio, Young, Montes and hope Jurrangelo, Sloan, #3 pick solidify the rotation. Obviously Kirby Loagn and Cal are probably gone by that point.
The comment about trading Randy made me think of this question. What out of the blue trade or signing (not named Kyle Tucker) could you see them making? Is there someone that hasn’t been talked about that would make some sense?
Talk about doing something with big names, do nothing, look at 2nd tier of FA, M's do nothing, dumpster dive to fill spots and tell fans player x, y, and z are due for bounce back years, year starts, half offense struggles, tell fans its okay were not even quarter into season, then dont panic its not even AS break yet, then told its only beginning of 2nd half of season, then final month and cue missed playoffs. Dipstick and Holly do nothing but play the same tired game, even when in FA the money they do get is horribly spent, Jerry is supposed to be a wizard trader but gets fleeced continually or gets no value when guys actually had it like Flexen, Marco, Haniger, Kelenic etc. But its okay when the players we have developed leave because we have prospects that will be ready by then, when we'll have to fill those spots of Logan, Kirby, Cal leaving, and nobody here would blame them for doing so.
You're not wrong completely, but Flexen and Marco didnt have plus value. The owners handcuffing payroll necessitated Kelenic being packaged with Marco and Evan to free up money. Kelenic is good or anything yet anyways in Atlanta. Getting Haniger, they still shed more payroll from Robbies contract. Those weren't bad trades, only disappointing because of the limitations. I'm just saying, if you're going to criticize Jerry, choose the correct points.
This is not a serious franchise… ownership has repeatedly shown us they will refuse to spend or make the Mariners a true contender because of cost. The media needs to call them out or they will keep gaslighting the fans.
Which teams would be willing to take M's prospects? Try the Rays and Cardinals. How do Lyle & TJ not know this? And do you really think that the revenue and trade environment can't change in six years? It can and has. So, why are you two geniuses trying to hold the M's to something they said six years ago? Stop with the Christian Walker trade talk. His is 34 years old and in decline, and he is not worth the money he is asking. I would rather have Carlos Santana to share 1B & DH duties. If Garver is able to bounce back, then why is Polanco (who played injured most of the season) not able to bounce back? Why didn't you guys even mention Polanco?
i fully agree with your take on christian walker. To me the best moves with the 15 mil budget we have, is getting back carlos santana. I do however think that second base will be fine for now with bliss and rivas. They have shown flashes of potential. The big problem is 3d base, because there is no 3d FA who is affordable and good except maybe ha seong kim. And trading a pitcher is not the best solution imo.
There’s very little downside to putting Santana at 1st/DH. They keep the long term money picture open and get a short term upgrade to the lineup. I just want them to do it already!! FO is playing games parading SP trades and giving serious looks at big money guys like Walker. Feeling out the worth of their guys and generating interest. I get it but what if Santana’s off the market by the time the charade is over?
Who do the Rays and Cardinals have that the M's would want? No thanks on Yandy. Lowe? Maybe, but could see him come to T-Mobile and crater. Donovan? Cards are keeping him. And hard pass on Arenado.
It's better if we listen to Uplander. Cuz maney people don't understand. Jedi.. But he takes responsibility. And always says it's his fault.. So ok except when.its owners. And we know it..
Guys. Come on. I’m 100% behind spending proportionate to revenue, which the M’s don’t. But your lead argument is from an article 6 years ago and the first two examples of players you give are Shohei and Soto who signed for 3/4 of a billion dollars. We were just one of about 26 other teams that couldn’t and wouldn’t sniff those contracts. Then your next argument/frustration is trading Robbie Ray and the precedent that has set for other free agents? It’s one player. He missed a full season due to injury and was objectively garbage in 2024 for the Giants while still recovering. Everyone knows they should spend more. Love listening to you guys; but you need a new topic or at minimum make a more compelling argument.
its just really too bad we have this team...so close to being a great team...and it could be for many years, yet every off season its about money....im sick of it...spend then ill believe it...but the best thing the mariners can do is sell to an owner that will spend...our whole infield can be replaced, and with this pitching staff we still have a chance...
Love the pod, but not giving up the Astros cheating thing. That core group of guys cheated and won, got huge contracts for it, and screwed over how many others in the process. Oh, and never got punished.
Doyle, Tovar, McMahon, and Rodnik for high leverage. I dont care, nor do I like prospect hoarding. Use 3 or 4 of our top 10 for them. Doyle doesn't have to play center and choose between JP and Tovar who goes to second this year. Montes, Ford, Celesten, I don't care. Prospects are just that and most dont pan out. Who cares if one of them hits in the future. We need help NOW.
17:39 on repeat. Lyle earns his Gold. Thank you for speaking for us.

Thanks so much for listening!
I haven’t spent money on team apparel for a couple of seasons now.
I won’t either. Until they show a commitment to WINNING
Thank you I’ve been trying to remember when this promise was made
Franchise is an utter shambles, leadership is pathetic
Thank you guys for giving me great content to listen to!
I wish ownership wanted to win as much as the players
I love being depressed REALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING! LOL
I am here so I don't get fined. Gleyber Torres and Carlos Santana, that is your offseason.
Can’t wait for another 85 win season

Watching this 1st, then catch you on Seattle Sports after! Good times.
I’m here to watch them do nothing.. I’m use to it now.. .477 winning %
Prospects are exactly that prospects.
The comment about trading Randy made me think of this question. What out of the blue trade or signing (not named Kyle Tucker) could you see them making? Is there someone that hasn’t been talked about that would make some sense?
Primarily meaning someone the M’s would trade away.
dont know what wrc+ is but yall seem to like it ramon urias with vg defense
I’m just here for the comments
The Mariners don't need to spend big. They need players who will get on base for Julio and Cal.

I had a dream at some point where Bill gates bought the team 😭🙏
Ms going all in on a title...the AAA title
This is not a serious franchise… ownership has repeatedly shown us they will refuse to spend or make the Mariners a true contender because of cost. The media needs to call them out or they will keep gaslighting the fans.
Ownership needs to go and Jerry too. He is willing to go along with Stanton’s greed. #Stanton SUCKS
This is EXACTLY why we can't keep or obtain quality players. They don't wanna play for a team whose ownership doesn't care.😢
Which teams would be willing to take M's prospects? Try the Rays and Cardinals. How do Lyle & TJ not know this?

F my life. Astros just grabbed Christian Walker. Let’s wait even longer and nobody will be available Jerry.
Now the Astros have Christian Walker. Spent 3/$60mil on him. How do the Ms respond?
I’m a Ryan Bliss Truther
Robby Ray..free agent
Ray opted into the final two years of his five-year, $115 million contract with the Giants this offseason.
