very helpful video, I'm rebuilding my Rochester 1 barrel Carburetor for a Chevy Inline 6 250. Got everything disassembled now, going to deep clean and see I can put it back with your next video. I found that my mixture adjustment screw is a bit damaged, and my idle solenoid had the inside screw fall out and spring was jammed in there. Making more sense why it would never adjust right.

My carburetor is hissing and not getting fuel I can't tell if the hissing is coming from the air cleaner or somewhere else and drive me crazy

Great video. I have a 2 barrel Rochester carb that I want to rebuild, but I am scared you start. I want to rebuild it because I am getting parts to put on my 307 small block for my Fargo build and I don't want any surprises when I go to start it. I am afraid I well get things mixed up when putting it back together. I will be watching your video a couple of time to build up some nerve. Thanks for sharing.

@@MikesCarburetor I want to do it myself. I am retired and rebuilding a 1954 Dodge Fargo 1/2 ton. This is how I want to pass my time. I don't know what I am doing, but I am learning as I go. There is no rocking chair on the front porch for me. I guess you can call it a labour of love. Plus it will mean more to my son when he gets it after I'm gone. Drop over to my site and see what is going on. Thanks for sharing. Oh is part 2 ready???
