My family are from Singapore, we used to serve vanilla ice cream with canned creamed corn. The taste of that is like tasting my childhood! I think this ice dream would be a hit!
Leave out the actual corn pieces and make a thick lightly sweetened raspberry purée by reducing carefully on the stove top. Make the ice cream as directed but once churned lay some purée into base of container then alternate ice cream and purée. When you serve you get ripples of sauce through out. It is a truly yummy combination.
Me and a friend of mine used to buy corn Palettas at a little Mexican mart about 15yrs ago. Haven't been able to find them since! I can't wait to make this for her this weekend when she comes to town!
They sell sweet corn ice cream in Singapore, but you gotta buy from those ice cream pushcarts!! Traditional sweetcorn ice cream! A must try if you ever come here!!
Hi Kaleb, I love love love the idea of a sweet corn ice cream, I've been wanting wanting & wanting and procrastinating about getting me a good ice cream maker. I have been wanting an ice cream maker for the past 4 yrs now & i am so happy to find your fresh sweet corn ice cream recipe. Im from the deep & dirty south as we call it, lol, in deed, we love our sweet corn (any way we can get it). I love this idea Kaleb- pure genius as I've never ever thought of ice cream in this way; (until just now that is) sweet corn ice cream hummmph. I finally jumped fast and i now have a great ice cream maker, after watching you & your tutorial.....👍🏽 thank u so much for this recipe, i will let uk how mine turned out. Thank you again Kaleb
Love your channel! Just subscribed. This ice cream sounds amazing. I used to work at a place that did an ice cream sundae with popcorn brittle and fried kernels. Great idea!
Every once in awhile I come across a video of yours that I missed. Watching this surprised me just a wee bit so I had to imagine what sweet corn would taste like and ya know, it really sounds like a great combination! Corn is sweet, I can imagine the flavor would be a really nice sweet but a bit savory dessert…Suprising, maybe a bit strange but nice. My brother owned an ice-cream place here in CT. We have very few Farms here that are in existence still so getting homemade ice-cream, unless you make it at home yourself is a treat. We made so many different kinds, one being Pumpkin that many never even heard of but I have to admit making up our own flavors whether they were soft serve or hard was so much fun. Rum raisin was at the bottom of peoples favorites and good ole chocolate and vanilla were still number 1. : ) I have to try this one out for sure. Thank you Kaleb for an unusual but enticing flavor to make. By the way, one of my favorite ice-cream is honey. Have you ever tried it?
Honey would be delicious I haven't tried just plain honey, now rum raisin was my grandmas absolute favorite but we could hardly ever find it! I have always had a small dream of an ice cream shop, what awesome memories you have!
I'm attending a culinary school and baking and pastry is one of the curriculum and tomorrow were making ice cream and I thought adding sweet corn is a great idea because I came from the philippines and we make this kind of ice cream and they're all awesome good. This is my first time making ice cream from scratch and I will try this flavor tomorrow, the only thing is I will use creamed corn instead of the fresh corn. What do you think?
Culinary school sounds wonderful, good for you! Creamed corn may affect the texture, more water will be in mixture possibly making the ice cream grainy or freeze extra hard. It may take a couple tries to figure out!

I made this but a little different. 2 cups cream, 1 cup milk, 5 egg yolks and 3/4 cup sugar. turned out incredible.
I bet a big scoop of this over chicken and waffles would be really good.
Sweet corn ice cream is actually very common in Malaysia! :)
corn dom ice
Also in Singapore
Yeah in philippines too, i think its more common here in asia than west
I ate it sometimes here in Brazil, although it is not so common.
yeah i remember eating sweet corn n coconut flavoured ice cream.....it was heaven ^^
You should try adding edam cheese! In the Philippines, we have sweet corn with edam cheese ice cream, soooo good!

Both flavours were the stars of their respective summer festivals.

This flavor is very common in some Asian countries! I've even seen corn and cheese... Which sounds semi gross XD
That does sound unique but I would definitely try it, maybe it's more savory than sweet?!
The Gray Boxwood You are right, it's exquisitely delicious and not gross. You got to try it and you won't regret it, I promise.
I'm here after seeing Jungkook eat this icecream. 😋. But this icecream flavour is not available in India.
