What other players should I do? I want to do more of these since the draft is coming up soon and there is virtually no interest for my college football compilation videos right now (like every fumble return and every safety).
That’s crazy Jalen hurts his sophomore year had junior Calvin Ridley, Freshman Jerry Jeudy, Freshman Henry Ruggs, Freshman Devonta Smith, Freshman Jaylen Waddle. That’s a crazy ass receiving core wtf.
He will go down as one of the most underrated Sooners QBs but I really liked him with us. Class act and very well respected it felt good with the Bama fans giving him props and telling him good luck
Viper Jalen could throw accurately yeah. He always had the arm too. His problem was decision making. He didn’t make bad throws it was the throws he didn’t make. He took care of the ball but he took care of the ball too much. He would miss wide open receivers because he would roll out and throw the ball away or take off run. Over time he got better at seeing his open guys.
I dont understand how people say he cant throw. Stephen A and other commentators only look at the game that Tua came in. Make it make sense: His whole college career he lost 2 games TWO in 4 years!!! Oh but "he can't throw the ball"...ok🤔
#pamela Nelson, cause he dropped the ball while trying to play QB at Alabama in the big game. He's good and has talent but he was chicken sh.. at bama!
I'll disagree there. Alabama's inabilty to get first downs consistently kept Bama's defense on the field for a ridiculously long time throughout the game and the defense was completely gassed by the final game winning drive that Watson put together. Jalen was missing open guys all that night, kudos to him for the last touchdown, but that still didn't make up for the fact that his defense was on the field for an overwhelmingly majority of the time and just didn't have anything left in the tank for the final drive.
Well... not true. Jalen being 13 of 31 and the offense not being able to convert on 3rd down allowed Clemson to run 99 plays. No defense holds up after 99 plays. Although it is awesome to see his improvement over the years
What you're looking at is the power of narratives. People passed on him because of the ridiculous narrative that was circulating. Was he the best passer? No. But he was way better than a lot of QBs that went before him. People even tried to make him change positions. Glad to see them eat crow. And he's only going to get better. Saban knew Hurts was a beast as well. We keep talking about Tua, but forget that Jalen took the top signal caller position as a FRESHMAN.....on a SABAN team. That alone is impressive.
UPDATE: HE JUST LED THE EAGLES TO THE #1 SEED AND BEAT THE GIANTS IN THE DIVISIONAL ROUND AND WILL BE PLAYING IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME VS THE 49ERS ON JANUARY 29TH 2023!!!
Man what happened to Gus Johnson? He didn't have the same level of excitement this season. I hope he's not losing his touch as a commentator. He's still good, just didn't seem to be into it this year though.
Unfortunately a lot of the games he did this year ended up being blowouts. Hard to get wild excited during those (the one LEGENDARY exception was in 2017 when Ohio State's Denzel Ward smacked that Maryland WR and he made the "you got BBQ back there?" remark).
"Hard to get them to develop as passes." That's a shot at Jalen man. That is bullshit! Why is it that these analysts hate running quarterbacks? Because, they are scared it will eliminate their sons at that position. They are worried times has changed or changing. A good blocking offensive line fixes running your quarterback. Alabama ran a lot of designed quarterback draws with Jalen. You can't tell that to someone that doesn't k ow football plays.
What's crazy is that to me he's far from a running QB. Dual threat for sure but this guy threw for 3800 yards and 32 touchdowns when he got the chance to throw a lot at OU. He had back to back 300+ yard passing games in just 4 starts. Lamar Jackson is someone who probably wouldn't be very successful as a QB without his legs, that's just not the case with Jalen
Welcome to the Philadelphia Eagles Jalen Hurts!!! Jalen Hurts is the best dual threat quarterback in the NFL compared to Michael Vick and Tim Tebow!!! Welcome to the NFL Jalen Hurts!!! I love Jalen Hurts!!! He's the man!!!
Henry and Hurts never played together. Henry is 4 yrs older than him. They have Smith, Brown, Goedert, Sanders etc..... he is surrounded by plenty of talent in the NFL and just as good of a line. He once had Jacobs, D. Harris and N. Harris at RB, and those are all starters in NFL.
Better than Baker or no? Not a fair question, maybe, but understandable. I'll say this: Jalen's come closer to winning a SB than Baker has. Baker did get the Browns to the AFC Championship. Problem was, he was going against his old nemesis, Gayhomes. Jalen got as close as you could w/o winning one. I don't know if Baker ever will. Every team he's ever played for (Baker), has had a good, or great, offense, but not a great defense. If the Browns could've stopped Gayhomes on that 3rd down run, they probably would have made it there, @ least. I said before if Baker ever played for Pittsburgh or KC, that would be the end of that relationship. Well, I've had a change of heart, to a point. I would root for Pittsburgh, being a Broncos fan. They will play this year, either Christmas or the day after. I have a picture of Baker planting the flag on Ohio State's home field. One of my favorite images of him. He apologized later. Saving face. Baker won the Heisman, Jalen didn't. He was nominated, though. Then we got manhandled by none other than Burrow & LSU. @ least we had Georgia on the ropes.

No no no. He failed to get first downs and kept putting our defense back out. They got tired and that’s what caused them to fail on the last drive.
