Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip. That 30MPH section on the M62 is the Bain of my life. It’s the junction I usually come off to get home. It’s been there for over 12 months now. Like the way you managed to book a bike onto a ferry on its own 😁.
Not that i am complaining but he didn't really check that much. That being said, it would be awkward if he asked for everything to be unpacked including the tent 😬
It's a bit strange watching you negotiate milnrow onto the motorway as I'm only a couple of miles away. When I did the ferry from Hull a few years ago, I promptly fastend the tab onto my mirror to tight and it snapped and blew away! Please can I have another one 😄. Anyroad, enjoy yourselves and, I'm looking forward to the next instalment 👍.
Once you had secured your bike did you have to climb over anything like the rachet straps on the other bikes to get up to the accommodation or did you jump the fence. I wonder how many of the car passengers were forced to climb over their bonnets to get out? Top tip, It's a good idea to have the rachet on the left hand side of the bike as you are pulling it on to the side stand. Looking forward to seeing what you think of the ferry.
We didn't have to climb anything, we was able to make our way to the stairs leading up ok. Looking down the cars are packed in tight but everyone was able to move freely 👍
Glad to hear you were able to get off easier. The last time I used this crossing the bikes were packed in so tight we could not get off without jumping the barrier or climbimg over all of the rachet straps.I spoke to one of the officers who was going to look into this. The gap between the bikes in your video does look bigger than when I used it.@@MotoTripTV
@@tileproplus Don't get me wrong, they are packed pretty tight as you would expect as they are making money the more they can get on. when you first use a ferry its a surprise how many they cram on.
Be carefully when riding through Czech Rep. a load of us got stop by police 👮♀️ the roads were empty and we were not going silly speeds, but noticed a helicopter above and my mate said do you think that is a police helicopter no I said. Then at the top of this motorway on a hill we were confronted by police waving us in. I said why have you stopped us and he pointed to the sky. Took all of are passports and he took them to is car. We were there a good half a hour before he gave us are passports back and told us to go. All very strange there was 8 of us all together. And was told the police can fine you on the stop for loads if they want or take your bike. Also Germany have a lot of speed cameras hidden under camouflage nets on the side of the road but a lot are forward facing so keep your eyes open. Ride safe both of you 👍👍 I bought one of them clip on chin mounts and it look really good. Should do the job very nicely when me and the wife are on are travels around Scotland in a few weeks 👍
I was warned about the Police and their on the spot fines, I have about 350 Euros in cash on me, will hope i dont use it lol my sat nav gives audible warnings if i go over the speed limit anywhere, so we will see. the Dango Design chin mounts are great and tougher than they look, mines been knocked and dropped a lot, so easy just to clip off when you need too. I used to unclip it on the move and stick my camera in the tank bag when on boring motorways.... then get it out and clip back on as i left the motorway. Great things.
Be careful with the beers My last trip on getting off the ferry the Police we’re stopping all vehs and breathalysing the drivers /riders Not sure if this is the norm
Just for your info , you strapped it down wrong you pull the ratched down on the side stand side of the bike, if it had been rough sea your bike could have went over. The strap pressure needs to pull the bike towards the side stand. Just been on that ship in July and they should strap it down because if anything goes wrong they will wash their hands of any claim if you do it. 🤑👌
I did expect someone to help with the strapping down, we waited a while and it became obvious no help was coming. to be honest that strap was useless, i pulled it tight and it just pulled itself loose again. 😬
I asked who straps the bike down and the guy just looked at me, there was a bike in front of me with no strap on a big harley I had to tell the deck hand to sort it . On stena they do it and wont let you , I am from N.I. so have traveled on boats since 1981 circa with bikes and have seen all sorts. lol looks like a great trip you done !. Regards Robert@@MotoTripTV
I think you need to go back and read your highway Code when you joined in the motorway. You are on a give way line. The traffic on the motorway doesn't give way to you. So stop calling hgv drivers knobs.
i said "he's NOT a knob" gave way to him and pulled in behind. I was "suggesting" that as a courtesy HGV sometimes move over, but he couldn't even if he wanted too 👍

ridiculous speed on a motorway, even with roadworks.
Bit silly that you cannot book 2 bikes and 2 riders.
All went ok though
Need a map to navigate them bloody docks, couldn't help but laugh at your parking spot! looking forward to the next episode.
First time in, its not clearly sign posted 😂
they sure know how to cram vehicles on the ferry... amazing operation lol
They pulled us in the same shed a few years back. Searched our baggage in the back and off we went but surely its on the way home they should check

Hulls great.... just not in rush hour lol
