      @vong8561 5 месяцев назад +5

      She’s not racially ambiguous. She’s just a very pretty brown skin girl. And even if you were to go the racially ambiguous route, she isn’t light enough to really appease the far east. I would say she is multicultural & that adds to her appeal, that everyone can have “claim” to her. But she’s a shade darker than Halle Bailey and they’re similar. But she is a universally pretty and Rihanna esque.

    • @vong8561
      @vong8561 5 месяцев назад +3

      The reason Rihanna has a bumpy rode was because of the time period. Early to mid 2000’s, from the Caribbean, bad accountant & record executives could easily screw you over due to primitive technology & internet. Labels no better now than to think they can outright get over on those who they know are potential mega stars. Rihanna was one of one though. I have yet to see a female artist embody the popularity, radio play, music video, hits, and overall aesthetic of her Loud era.

    I think Tyla was like lightning in a bottle similar to Doja Cat - yes Tyla has many factors influencing her quick rise to fame, like her team’s intense push, fitting the conventionally attractive Black mixed-race aesthetic, and making music that easily fits into Tik Tok trends, but like Doja she also has immense talent, dance abilities, stage presence, and catchy af songs. Combine that Amapiano style of music that hadn’t gone mainstream outside of South Africa and it’s no wonder she became such a massive star so quickly. The other songs she released right after Water are doing very badly in terms of views. She has to do more to make sure her songs are powerful enough to gain momentum by itself without the tiktok dance. challenge.

      If 10 artist who all made bad music were in rotation one of their songs are still going to be a hit,
      Tyla is a good artist she got it all, looks, voice and image of a popstar.
      As far as being an artist, nope she got her lyrics made, image made, beats made and budget all on a plate but hey goodluck for her success shes still very young, it begins bright and gradually goes darker with all artist until they need to reach the next level and have to push agendas

      Beyoncé is still making TPTB money. I see her as more of the industry’s Rihanna replacement. Exotic, “black”-ish female pop star that is more palatable and marketable to crossover global audiences. The industry is all in on her, this was confirmed after the Grammy win. And like Rihanna, the fashion industry wants a piece of her too. Face of GAP’s new campaign, Versace hand made custom dress for Grammy. Watch for her to get a Met invite this year as well.
