Beautiful idea but needs more light. Should use large mirrors and white or light colored furniture with lots of cushions/pillows. Light colored rugs would brighten the space too. Needs bright white paint for the windows and sheer curtains as well. Could replace the backsplash in the kitchen with mosaic tiles that are bright and calming.
