How do you find these places? I love North Haven

Our son and his partner @wanderdownunder_ stayed at the Hipcamp last year, or the year before, and we were looking for somewhere new to explore so thought lets try there. After that we checked out the area via RUclips & Google and found that it really was a lovely little gem that we needed to explore. We will definitely return and hopefully be more successful with catching some seafood. Thanks for dropping by!

@@gibbosroadtripadventures Thanks for that... I need to know how to find new spots, we have been to North Haven a few times now and love it, never knew there was any hipcamps etc up that way. The old hipcamps are getting a bit expensive now too don't ya think? For what some are asking without toilets and showers they push you towards caravan parks. Have been pretty put off by some that are asking just way too much for such little. Enjoy your videos 👍

@@geoffstein3896 I agree it’s hard to justify what some are charging but I guess they may think if people are willing to pay, then they’ll open up their properties to strangers.
Check out HIPCAMP and search North Haven, you’ll find Belly’s Farm Stay which we paid $35/night but I think it’s cheaper off peak. You do need to be self contained, no amenities.
Another suggestion for North Haven would be to contact BJA Boat Hire as the owners father is opening up his property on the river, but I’m not sure if he will put it on Hipcamp so just go direct. He’s keen for senior style guests rather than big groups, etc.

That hip camp was way too expensive for my taste. You could stay, fully connected, in a van park for that.

All depends on what you’re after, we will always prefer the seclusion & privacy of what we had over a caravan park. We did pay extra due to it being a public holiday and we’re happy with that, as we got a spot all to ourselves with low light pollution to capture the stars.
