Love the decor! Built-ins take up a lot of space. To save space, store a portable stove top and basin beneath the bed when not in use. A smaller counter area may be possible. Store a wardrobe, kitchen and bathroom items in pull-out baskets beneath the bed as well. If the bed were lower, it could be used as a sitting area as well.
Absolutely love this Caravan! Will you either be selling plans or doing additional videos on how you built it? The water towers are especially beautiful and I would sincerely appreciate knowing how and what they are built from. Wonderful little home on wheels!
have you not seen inside a real Varda/vardo ? the main thing that is missing is a fire , set in a display for the prize possessions of any Rom woman her china and crystal , the things they spent good money on , my gran had loads of wedgewood and waterford
It's the second one I've seen where they put the stove right next to the bed. Why can't it be next to the shower? She has a rack under the bed for drying clothes but I didn't see any place to put clothes. These places look really nice and practical enough if you're forced to live in them but they never show where they put their clothes because under the bed is always kitchen stuff.
Sharon Hall most people aren’t “forced to” live in something like this... or any other of the van builds all over youtube. From the Prius to minivans, to camper vans to RVs people are choosing to live in vehicles of one sort or another. Sure, there are some folks that live in their car for awhile due to an unfortunate circumstance. I’ve heard many stories that after they got back on their feet they realized they loved the mobile life and upgraded their vehicle. The rough estimate is that there are more than a million people who are choosing to live a mobile lifestyle. That’s an estimate from the RV association from self reported data. There are probably many more. There are many professional people living this lifestyle. Most say they’ve never been happier or felt more free. Instead of paying for an overpriced storage unit... an apartment or house... that demands time, money, energy they are using that time, money and energy to live. Anyway, I’m not sure if this wagon is going to be a full time dwelling out on the road or not. It’s obviously a work in progress, but the things that are in it are obviously carefully chosen and well loved pieces, perhaps whittled down from the over abundance of “stuff” we all seem to collect and eventually find to be more a burden than a joy. Where are her clothes? Maybe in the bench under the window? Maybe they haven’t been moved in yet? As far as the stove location- well, I wouldn’t choose to put it next to the bed myself but the sink is next to the shower for the ease of plumbing.
There might be surveys that show many people decide to have a vacation home for a part of the year, but that really should overshadow that many people who are homeless, this is just a more affordable lifestyle (I mean with used vehicles with crummy designs and made up as you go beds, which is and should be a scary thought but homelessness isn’t supposed to be fun) 🤷♀️ long story short it makes it easy to hide homelessness is what I mean 😉
