Why don’t you play murk-eye with battlecry discover elem ?

I'd guess too much board space, too slow, and not nearly as much pay off.
His board was 2 Ragnaros, rock rock, 2 elemental that grow and wraith (7th space for cycling)
How do you fit murk eye and discover in that? Probably only instead of the elemental that grows. But one had divine shield, so perhaps one of them and one Ragnaros?
And what's the pay-off for that trade? A single elemental in your hand, because none of the two are golden, you don't have brann or drakkari. So you're trading two 100/100 units for 3 gold, because you get an elemental you could buy in the shop (you're never out of elementals in the shop with wraith, you're only out of gold)
Perhaps earlier, when those units weren't 100/100, but rather 30/30, that was a plausible trade. Even then, questionable, because you'd be risking losing for that. Even golden later that's still not good enough, as you can't really leverage 6 gold into that many stats.
Without brann, drakkari and a second table-oriented battlecry, or at least a combination of those, murk-eye is probably not good enough. And within elementals I believe that's really hard to build as an engine, as elementals, although you want to play them, they lack battlecries. You only play for rag/wraith/rock rock, all of which occupy board spaces eternally.
We could also do the math on the potential of murk eye. Murk eye + discovers is 2 boards spaces for a single battlecry every round. Murk eye, brann, drakarri and 2 battlecry units is 5 board spaces for 8 battlecries worth of power (getting that many cards in hand hardly will be fully turned into money). Golden murky doubles that, and golden of any other of the 4 units enhances the payoff by 1.5 times. Potentially, you could get 72 times the power of a battlecry by having all 5 golden. Of course that's only the dream, but I'm only aiming to show that murk eye combos seem strong, but they have to be more towards the stronger end. Perhaps just 12 times by having a single golden piece. But commiting 2 board spaces for a single battlecry which is just 3 gold with units that are jackshit is not worth it

You are only gonna get a few more buffs out of little rag, so frostling was just bigger stats in total
