Hey there. This article will assist with how to get this renewed: quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/accountants/renewing-online-certification/. All the best. -Kyle
what if it's an existing client I want to start on ledger? I already have the client set up in my client list and I don't see any way to add QB Ledger or QBO to their account. Do I just have to act like it's a new client and then merge them later?
Hi Michael. You should be able to click Edit Client across from the existing client name and then scroll down to the Product Subscription section to add a subscription. However, if you don't see the Edit option across from your clients, you may need to log in as the Company Admin. Here's more info on managing clients in QuickBooks Online Accountant: (quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/account-status/manage-clients-quickbooks-online-accountant/L52NuBGQ9_US_en_US?uid=m18eljr8). I hope this helps. -Karey
@@quickbooks I figured out the issue. I was in the QB Online app and it doesn't show the "your firm" section like the web page version does. In the your firm section, I was able to find out what you were referring to. You may want to let someone know that the app doesn't allow it. I can send a screen shot of what I mean if it's not clear.
The QBO Advanced subscription tier does offer a backup option, check it out here: quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/back-data/back-restore-quickbooks-online-advanced-company/L2Ydvhq3L_US_en_US. -Caitlyn
Can we talk about how Intuit is attempting to sundown all of the Desktop licenses? Maybe make a video clearly detailing who will be losing access to their software this year. If you know. Or dare.
I wanted to offer some clarification. QuickBooks Desktop has a service discontinuation policy in place. This means that services for older versions are discontinued. Here's more info (quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/feature-preferences/quickbooks-desktop-service-discontinuation-policy/L17cXxlie_US_en_US?uid=lwfgse9v). However, QuickBooks Desktop is still available. If you have a subscription, then upgrades come free with that subscription along with support, Intuit Data Protect, and other services depending on what subscription you have. I'll link more info and common questions about it here: (quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/other-articles/common-quickbooks-desktop-questions/L6qndvmPy_US_en_US?uid=lu1iw7xw). I hope this helps. -Karey
