Eddie Parker I had a 1955 Ford convertible loved that car which I still had it had so much fun in that car it was very fast my my 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
in the 50's I was in my 20's and could hardly wait for the look of the new models every year ,I owned a used 53 and then a 56 Studebaker called "Power Hawk"green-white color ,which I traded later for a new 58 Chevrolet brown-white color
I like old cars,those caddy tail fins were just ridiculous though?if you've ever driven any of these old behemoths the brakes were an after thought for the designers?one maybe two good hard stops and no brakes!the body roll is bad on these cars aswell,but having said that they look so good!
One day I found a old 1932 house that had 1955 cars in the garage and I told the old folk if I could get in the 1946 woody wagon and he sed yes and it felt so soft and smushed then I got in a 1955 ply mouth and that car still worked and I'm 23 years old and I drive that car and it felt sow smooth like if you were diving in a very very clean road the car had those windows in half you know the half Gust put 1955 Plymouth and you'll see
I'd say the 60 model year cars are 50's cars, since they were designed, produced and actually started selling them in 1959. So they're very much 1950's cars. Like the 1950 model year cars were designed in the 40's and started selling them in late 1949. Since no one wanted to wait until January 1st to start making these cars, 1960 models started production mid 1959
Does anyone have any idea what the 50s or 60s cars are that had a grilles similar to a bel air and the front of the car is angled in so the bottom of the front is narrower than the top? I cant remember the name and it is killing me
The green one I assume? That's a '58 Pontiac Bonneville. Few of them were made. The Bonneville got its name for the car with 4 Pontiac engines in it that broke a land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The first of the Bonnevilles came out in '57 and didn't catch on immediately. They began to get a reputation in '58.
i love american cars :'( i wish i dident live in ireland cuzz u dont get to fully drive till ur 18 and still the insurance on a car with a V8 is expencive :( im moving to america :)
The 1950s sucked. 1950s cars sucked. The only good things about that decade was late 50s rock 'n'roll R&B and jazz. Music was the only escape from the boredom, conformity and hypocrisy of that cursed decade.
Each car a gem, back in that era when styling was innovative and beautiful.
@maple1255: Absolutely
Great cars and great music ! When cars weren't necessary all good looking, but had a personality ... Unlike today's cars !
These cars were built MUCH better than today's cars back then you didn't HAVE to have car insurance like you do now.
Bob Morane What about the Dodge Challenger? I like that one!
@Bob Morane: Good point.
Absolutely enjoyed these cars. Thanks for posting.
@55lincoln: Your welcome

+Gabriel Morales; That was a pretty neat story you shared there.
what the name/artist of the song?
@elizabethpcbagger: It's from the PC game Monopoly Tycoon.
Ah, before the era of plasti-dipped bumpers and engines that cant handle going above 45 miles an hour
@_Devil: True words have been spoken.
A couple of these looked to be from the 30s or 40s
Samuel Enciso: My mistake.
A 1952 MG TD is of the '30s and '40s. Lots of '50s cars were 1940s underneath the skin. Still fun to drive.
Well dang - the first one is wrong already -- that is a 1960 Edsel - the last year - based on the Ford platform as you can see.

Anybody Know the 6th car to appear?
Looks to be a 1958 Oldsmoble 98!
1957 Oldsmobile 98
Awful '58 olds, It's said that a Ford manager drove one of those to work and told his stylists never to design anything like it.
58 Oldsmobile
@Louis Dummitt: Idk man
i wish i was born in 1930
@randox16000: Why? That was a bad time for the United States, since that was the great depression era.
just these cars ?
Carros packard
@Le Dauphin de Bourbon: Yup
I would dye 4 that car
Alisa Karter v
@Alisa Karter: Who wouldn't?
dream car is a 1957 chevy bel air :D @slash1229
The 1957 Oldsmobile had similar front end styling as the Chevy, but for a few dollars more offered more of everything !

New cars suck
That 90s Kid: yeah i'd say, to much technology that's unnecessary IMO.
Yuck. I just don't get it. I've tried to appreciate the designs of 1950s USA cars, but they just look gauche and obese to me.
@BroccoliQueefed: Well you tried.
Sorry. Not ALL Of These Cars Are From The 50's. A Few From The 40's And 30's.
@davemckolanis4683: Thanks for the correction.
