very informative videos. I am Assyrian and we speak aramaic and its so unbelievable how many informations about our history got lost. Folks like you help keeping history alive . thanks 😀
There's nothing I love more than nice charts and history, so this channel is my jam. Do you plan on making other chart videos that aren't centered on history? Your evolution video was very interesting, too. If you do, something related to economics would be awesome! Just a suggestion. Looking forward to part two.
You can find Esarhaddon at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. There he is holding some Egyptian prisoners and with a quote: „I do a lot of bloodbaths daily“. Also a statue of his grandfather Sargon II. is next to him.
Son of Mountain I’m a Christian and I don’t divide Christ Jesus the Lord. I hear so many Kurds are becoming Christians as well building churches all over the towns where Kurds live. And Alqosh is Assyrian Christian, Saraink Assyrian Christian, Tal Skopp Assyrian Christian, I can keep going but I’m sure you aren’t that slow to not get it, right? Besides Assyrian, Just like Aryan Persian are more closely related just as the Medianites are included into the Persian tree just as the Ninevehvites are included inside the Assyrian tree. You are on the other hand are Mongolian Turkic which came with the rest of the Turkic people.
Son of Mountain oh btw the Chinese government and the Assyrian people have been meeting together to commemorate the almost 2,000 year history of our people’s sharing of the Christian faith throughout the nation of China. You guys don’t have any such thing that’s good for humanity. I mean just look at the last thousand years of your peoples history and it’s filled with rape, torture, kidnapping, enslaved people, genocide, and treacherous women and men. Truth always hurts
Jehu is not the first biblical king of Israel mentioned outside the Bible. Assyrians knew of Omri, called the northern kingdom the land of Omri, called his successors sons of Omri, and fought his son Ahab at an inconclusive battle. Jehu was the first to bend the knee. Other steeles mention the house of David, which means David was know to or believed to have existed by the people who erected the steeles to boast victories over his house.

Typo, on Kuri-galzu II's part it lists his reigning years as 1332-11308, when I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 1332-1308. Great video, love both you guys.
Great video! You should have talked also about the Median empire and how the Medians conquered the Assyrian empire. Because the Medo-Persian Achaemenid empire was just a continuation of the Median empire.
@Kong King they are not extinct, every modern Iranian is a mix and descendant of Medes, Persians, & Scythians-Parthians. Those who the more close to the Medes are the Kurds, a Western Iranic people.
It seems to me that the dates of reign of the sons of Adad-Nirari III are incorrect (around 5:40). At least, as I was researching further information online I got different information. I wonder if this video needs to be updated or if I simply need to research again.
How do you find the family tree? I am very curious about mine. I am Indian, Bengali but I know that my ancestors were not Bengali from my father side. Can you do a major Indian family tree like the Gupta or Sharma surnames?
Could you do in the future also a video about the Hungarian kings and Queens? Ofcourse later in time Hungary became part of Austria when it was the Austro/Hungarian Empire ruled by the Habsburgs but non the less the history about hungary and how Hungary became a Kingdom is very interesting. Yes I live in the Netherlands and again thanks for doing a vido about the dutch monarchy But I was born in Hungary and there for I would love to se a video about the Hungarian Monarchy and Empire
Could you please do a video about the Berbers in North Africa? That place seems interesting, it witnessed three empires and none of it survived and today they're known as Amazigh.. It would be interesting knowing their history
Yup. It'll be on my new Ancient History poster, along with what you see in this video. Still working on finishing it. Hoping to have it ready by end of Feb.
scott grunow Queen Shamiram. She’s got a lot of history attached to her. Some say she was the wife of Nimrod who built the Tower of Babel. And she’s depicted as matching her army against the Armenians on her chariot, and with a wounded arm still managed to defeat them. There’s so much more though
1:29, pronunciation is important. Part of what such a video like this is for, is for people to look up information about the Amarna letters: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amarna_letters
I understand that historical perspectives can vary, with some aspects aligning while others diverge. It is thought by some that the persona of Moses may be linked to Sargon of Akkad and that the account of the Exodus may have been influenced by the expulsion of the Hyksos.
Thank you 🙏🏼 evolution of the Bible please !!!!!!! From the mesoretic, Septuagint to the meaning of first canon(measurement) second canon to the first imprints 1500’s
I'm sorry I like your videos, and I'm not trying to start an argument. But the bible is a historical and a religious text. You may not believe that, but I do. If stuff in the bible lines up from secular history then it's a historical text...
The Bible is a religious text with some historical information in it. The problem is that the Bible is not a single book. It has multiple authors spanning hundreds of years using different literary styles. So yeah, some of it lines up with history but some of it does not. That's why I prefer to say that it is primarily a religious text rather than equally religious/historical.
@@UsefulCharts well that's a really nice way to say that you only believe when you read it lol. Your problem with the bible isn't because its multiple books in a span of thousands of years, but instead you look at the bible at a arrogant worldly view. You can say you aren't arrogant and we could get in a argument about the facts of the bible, but do me a favor read the bible again. Read it until you memorize it. Eventually the bible will start reading you...
A lot of people develop an interest in history because of stuff they learn in religious settings and therefore I think it's good to point out what is historical and what is not.
we are 7000 years old and before egypian empire and our land was whole of current Iraq, all north of Persia, 3/4 of Turkey, all Syrian, Lebanon, Jordan, North Sudia Arabia, Israel and Egypt they were all Assyrian land

Love both of your channels! :D
This is wonderful! I am currently reading The History of the Ancient World by Susan Wise Bauer. This is a great recap of all those complicated names!
