TheDarkFragment People seem to believe that it's possible for there to be a FULL ON clash amongst the yonko without there being some SERIOUS casualties and collateral damage.

@@shacourbrissett9625 True^^ though it didn't neccessarily have to be a fight (or drinking game). I hesitate to say Kaido could be threatened or reasoned with, but maybe Shanks had some sort of incentive for him to turn back.

I consider the idea of Shanks beating Kaidou in a drinking game a lot more compelling. Not actually fighting him.
but if kaido drinks then his mode changes... and if he drinks too much then he gets aggressiv and attacks every one... so he couldnt drink with shanks. he would start a fight...

It's rigged. the money ends up in Kaido's bank account and then he escapes. this is how he can afford drinking all day.

Yeah that’s the one thing I wish oda never said because it makes kaido seem easy (not necessarily) to catch or bring in at the very least which also make king and queen look bad Unless kaido was only caught in his younger days ok then.
The point of bounties is not just so people can hunt the pirates, they're also important to let the common folk recognize the pirates and instantly have an idea of how dangerous they are based on the value of their bounty.
The common folk don't care between say 50 million or 1 billion, they are all just as deadly to them.
I disagree, it would only be the same if they were to fight 1v1 for some reason, but when you take an entire city/island into account, someone with a 50M bounty might be able to kill a few dozen people tops in a short amount of time, but someone with 1B can decimate large chunks of the population in seconds, and if you take that to Yonko level, Blackbeard can destroy an entire island with a few quakes, Kaido can fly over a city and explode everything, Big Mom can cause a lightning storm and rain fire over it, I'm sure Shanks can do something too lol, you get the idea. Bigger bounties mean they can cause more destruction in a shorter amount of time, and the bigger the destruction the harder it is for people to escape even if they try to run away.

would i be 1 billion because i dont really think its based on the destroying citys and people maybe its also base on your impact on stuff because if i just came with my fruit and killed like a admiral or world noble like slit his throat infront a country i would probaly get a bounty of 1 billion in seconds

i read something about bb bounty on instagram...it was something like : the real life pirate black beard had a bounty on his head..it was 100 pounds or something but in our time it would be equal to 16k dollas and converted into yen it would be 2.247.600 and converted into berry it would be..well you guessed it 2.247.600.000

Little did you know, that when tekking struck the pose during the dance, he activated his stand [Electric Boogitree}. Which allowed him to inflict intense amounts of cringe by sending you into a trance like state, where you remember a time you were that cringe.
Could you make a video on Luffy and what his current territory as a Yonko would look like? Could tie into a "GEOGRAPHY IS EVERYTHING!" episode!

Im suprised there isnt really any significant bounty hunting characters in one piece it seems like the obvious middle ground between joining the navy and being a pirate(though i suppose warlords serve that purpose as well). It seems like a desirable position tho free to do what u want as long as u catch criminals but at the same time not an enemy of the world gov. I just feel like its a under utilized aspect in the one piece world.
It is kind of difficult to find bounty hunters who are willing to take on the top ranks. I assume that the desirability of the bounty is to put more pressure on pirates, but when they are as powerful as the elites are how can anyone put more pressure on them?
@@jamesvach6698 im just sayin there was like litterally no bounty hunters at all chasing luffy and the gang throughout there whole journey. I think a couple badass bounty hunters would have been a great way to flesh out the world even further. Also its desirable not because of the money really but because you can take down criminals without having to conform to the Navy's orders. Like imagine if smoker was a bounty hunter instead of the marines it makes sense because he likes catching criminals and serving justice but he does it on his own accord, he even gets pissed whenever the world gov. Trys to interfere with his business like with crocodile. He also asks to join g5 in the new world which is part of the navy but basically moves of its own accord and theres also really no benefit for smoker to be part of the navy either all it gets u is some worthless fodder for crewmates and a ship which isnt to hard to come by.
@@alec1020 The benefit is that he gets some degree of influence within the world government and can try to help improve the system from the inside. That seems to be what he is trying to do and he probably figures that it is better to try and change the system from the inside then to be outside it and the whole world against you.
@@alec1020 how can you say that there is no bounty hunter if the most famous of them is in luffies crew? also pirats them self do bounty hunting and become shikibukai like law did back then... but i also know what you mean. a powerful person who is only a bounty hunter... we dont have something like that yet...

And most bounty hunters work alone and that makes it harder when you consider that by the grand line most crews are pretty sizable. Bounty hunters I think stick to their seas since it’s easier and more efficient

One key point on White Beard's commanders(and seemingly Black Beard), is he had more of then(16!).
Kaido & Big Mom seem to reserve commander titles for their absolute strongest (3-4).
White & Black Beard seem to have commanders *start* at strong vice admiral levels of strength, with 2-3 real standouts(like Marco).
It reminds me of the Tiger vs Sherman debate. One great vs several good. This then gets reflected in their bounties.

He knew where the one piece was and pretty much was all over the place in the story. After his death Dragon became the most wanted man due to the Revolutionary army and I would dare even say the Will of D.

Wait shouldnt big moms and kaido bounties be higher than shanks? I mean the dude is nowhere as near as threatening as big mom or kaido to the marines, they attack kingdoms, build up armies, rule their own islands and on top of all of that they are trying to get the one piece. While thats happening shanks is casually going to marijoa talk to the gorousei :/. The only reason i see shanks being the highest is the pure hype on the character. But in logical thinking his bounty should be (maybe way) lower than big mom or kaidos bounty.

you have to factor in the fact the Shanks was on Gol D Rogers crew, and has been to Raftel. Bounties are not only given because of apparent threat to people, but also because of the threat to World Government organization. Dragon is less of a threat to citizens more so than Big mom and Kaido but he (probably) has the highest bounty due his threat to the world government.

M d as mukz said he really didn't go to raftel with roger, which would leave only actually being in rogers crew as an argument (or possibly knowing luffy i guess), and there is no way that can surpass everything kaido and big mom have done. It just doesnt click to me why they highest bounty of the yonko would be able to just go to mariejoa and have a conversation with them
I don't think so. The world government respects him, he isn't a big threat for the WG. He may knows something about the lost century but I think he isn't the guy using his knowledge against the WG.

can a warlord collect another pirate's bounty because their own bounties are frozen so they will not be caught by the world government when they drop the defeated pirate off. So I was thinking of mihawk and how he is a warlord so he is assumed to be as strong as an emperor so if he somehow brought down big mom or a yonko, then can he claim the bounty??

I think if Kaido has a bounty, it will either be 3 billion (the next big threshold to cross) or 4 billion (because 4 is death is asian cultures).

@@mywayorthehighwayking1356 Not agreeing with the fanboys, but the logic is that it might be because he was a member of the Roger's pirates. He's naturally have a huge bounty because of that, but besides that who knows.
Honestly it's make sense for Shanks to have the 2 lowest bounty among the Yonko, only higher than Blackbeard's. He's a pretty peaceful guy with a relatively small crew, possibly small territories, and the Marines actually have some semblance of respect for him. It makes sense that his bounty would be higher than Blackbeard's only because of his experience.

Anyone that can walk straight up to the gorosei "to talk" might not have done any acts of piracy that the WG might consider a threat. We might be over estimating his bounty based on the fact that the WG might consider him a "psuedo ally"

I feel like Big Mom has like a 5B bounty and suggests Teach's is near the bottom. Luffy did get a big bounty from defeating Katakuri but I feel like a lot of it was also just surviving Big Mom. Her Haki and power is ridiculous

Dragon is 10billion mark my words. Shanks, Kaido, Big mom and Whitebeard would go around 3.5 billion to 5.5b maybe even 7b. One more prediction is that Kaido's wanted poster is going to be DEAD ONLY, the opposite of Sanji's pre Whole Cake island arc

Exactly, they've captured him a couple of times and the Marines/WG failed to imprison him or kill him, so they need him dead, as he can probably escape again if captured. But since he cannot be killed too... he is sure to have an enormous bounty

@@rafe100 At this point we just dont know anything about Shanks really. The only things we know, like Tekking said, are that he clashed with Kaido and went on without a singel scrape and that he stopped a brutal Pirate vs Marines war with just his presence alone. Additionally he just walked in the room with the Five Elders and had a casual chat with them. Shanks is probably strong af and the Goverment is pretty intimidated by him...we just dont know anymore details yet :)
@@rafe100 he was a member of the pirate kings crew and likely the chosen successor since he had the straw hat. That would instantly make him a high priority symbolically. Also scaling him with others is clear to see that his power is likely around white beards in his prime. Displaying the strongest conquerors haki we have yet to see. Rivaling the greatest swordsman in the world. Ending a war with his presence alone.
Taking used to watch a lot of old cartoons that I used to watch when I was growing up this is why he's one of my favorite anime RUclipsrs and favorite RUclipsrs

Fisher Tiger attacked the Holy Land, released the slaves and lead the Sun Pirates. His bounty was only 230,000,000.
Koatam that seems really low I wonder if the world government gave him a purposely low bounty so the public doesn't think he's much of a threat and they have everything under control they probably covered up the fisher tiger attack some people know about it but I would think the general public probably doesn't some dude just strolling into the most heavily guarded place on earth and shooting up the place not really a good look for them and you know they care a lot about their reputation they probably contained the news about it as much as possible
I think Shanks is lowest of the 4 even if he may be the strongest, because he's the least type of troublemaker to the world government. They even let him in and out of Mariejois just like that. He's a logical person in comparison to the merciless BB, BM and Kaido. The other 3 are easily a direct threat to the world government and the world in general. So, I think the bounty speaks for threat level, rather than power level. That's why Dragon is the highest of them all.
and now you know that he has the highest tho it could be by 1 berri for all we know

Since Luffy is considered as an emperor it is pretty likely that Blaclbeards first bounty was in the realm of 1.5B as well. And i believe Big Mom and Kaido are a bigger threat to the world since they actively searcg for the One Piece than Shanks who rather visits the WG for a tea and a nice chat. And the same with White Beard who i think even stated that he is not interested in becoming pirate king. Therefore i would put Shanks at ~3B, White Beard at 3.5B and Big Mom/Kaido at 4-4.5B. I would put Dragon at the top with an even 5B
Hi Tekking, I have been following your videos for a while, good work man!
Some questions regarding this bounty stuff that popped up on my head for a while, if share your thoughts about them...
1. What do you think about Roger's bounty? Was it higher than the current Yonko? Was it even higher than Dragons?
2. What about Whitebeard's bounty? In what ballpark would it fall?
3. What about Rayleigh's bounty? I personally think his bounty may be higher than Luffy's current bounty but lower than Blackbeard's (or any other Yonko for that matter).
4. Another person who might have a higher than Luffy bounty at this point (barring the Yonko and Dragon of course) in my opinion could be Benn Beckmann. Why? Because of the crew structure of the Red Hair Pirates. (I actually wrote a blog about this in the One Piece Wiki, though there I discussed his probable strength, I think his bounty might get focus in the same manner. 5. One other non-Yonko (or Dragon) person to possibly have a billion plus bounty is in my opinion Dracule Mihawk (frozen of course). He is the odd one among the Schichibukai, like the only one who is possibly comparable to a Yonko in terms of personal strength so it can be the case that he had an insane bounty. One problem with this idea though is that he has been acting as a Warlord for quite some time now (I am not sure how long but it seems like he has been on it for long enough), if that is the case, then when he got that status, he might not have become so infamous. Perhaps he became a Warlord first and the best swordsman later?
6. As for Ace's bounty being so low, I think it was because he was so young, I mean Katakuri is 47 or so years old. Jack, Queen and King are old men past their thirties at least. Ace was twenty when he was killed, he did not get that much time pirating. I think he got to get the second division to command because it lacked a commander at that point. Which gives rise to two questions actually. Firstly, who was the previous commander of Whitebeard's second division? And secondly, what range do you think the bounties of the other prominent Whitebeard division commanders were? I kinda disagree with you saying Marco being at 800 million range, rather I think he would have a bounty perhaps around a billion or a little higher. Vista and Jozu should also fall in the same range with the other commanders having lower bounty...
7. Another thing is Sabo's low bounty. I mean it is not low, but considering him being the second in command of the Revolutionary army, it is not as high as it should be. I think something similar to Ace is at work here. Which, by the way, is very probable as Oda has drawn several parallels between Ace and Sabo (both being pseudo brothers to Luffy and both getting the Mera Mera No Mi and so on). Perhaps some other commanders of the Revolutionary Army have higher bounties than Sabo? Ivankov and Morley maybe?

hey maybe the reason some bounties arrive at weird numbers is because of other pirates. its kinda like luffy and kid; kid was just as strong as luffy but was more blood thirsty and hence, slightly more dangerous. if they had the same bounty people would think that they were equally as dangerous so the weird numbers could be to separate some pirates from other pirates

BB having around 2 Billion makes sense. He went from a nobody to Yonkou quickly. He is still an upstart compared to the others. If I had to guess it would be in the following range.
-Big Mom: Lower end of 5 Billion. Her prior bounties were 50m as a kid and 500m when slightly older... Going with that 5 theme - 5 Billion seems appropriate. She's been around for a long time.
-Kaido: Put him higher than Big Mom. Could be on the higher end of 5 Billion or 6 Billion. The capture is a redundant point, he's an alcoholic. Probably passed out/gave himself out, they try to execute him, he wakes up, leaves.
-Shanks: 4 Billion. The guys is young as hell (38 IIRC?), and isn't running around massacring people. However, there is a reason why he can waltz into a meeting with the Gorosei without them immediately arresting him and sicking all Admirals with him. Lower than the two war mongering crazies makes sense. If he had some sort of terrible knowledge they didn't want him to have, they would have done him in when he turned up at their doorstep, guy is a normal human as far as we know.
Going to go with the big 10 Billion for Dragon, You know he has to put a 10 Billion there somewhere.If not him, then Roger. He is the most wanted man in the world, and has just sent his guys to the Reverie. The revolutionaries are not running around killing innocents, they help them, so the officers and rank and file will be on the lower end of bounties (Sabo's 602 million makes sense, guy is dangerous, but not running around massacring citizens. Also probably his bounty before getting the Mera Mera, will definitely by much higher after Reverie ), but Dragon himself must be in the billions. He's trying to destroy the world government.
