'Subah-e-Banaras' - A Documentary Film about the vibrant mornings and lifestyle of one of the oldest living cities on the planet, Varanasi in India, which is considered to be an epitome of spiritualism and self-realization.
India's leading media house Jagran teamed up with Moonlight Pictures to produce a colorful amalgamation of Banaras' rich culture, philosophy, food, life, and architecture - sewing it all together on the thread of Indian classical music.
Subah-e-Banaras is not a film about how Banaras appears, but how it feels. It's a film about the soul of the city that has attracted millions of seekers for centuries, inspiring them with its historic banks, carefree people, mysterious cremation grounds and the ever blissful golden mornings.

Exactly, even if you try to get away from Kashi, once you're in, this sacred place doesn't let you go... I always thought I adopted Varanasi as my second home town, when I arrived here something like 40 years ago, I grew up here, learned so much about life and music, thanks to my husband late Pt. Lacchu Maharaj (miss him so much 😔) and actually I realize that it is Varanasi that adopted me! Pranam 🙏
If you have lived in the city for 5 years even 40 years earlier, the city keeps growing on you. You have been to cities all over the world but the non-materialistic lifestyle of the real Banarsi's doesn't leave you ever. Kudos to Praveen for an admirable attempt to present the essence of Banaras. Very well done. Excellent.

I must say the video has brought up an urge in me to visit the Mighty Varanasi, the poetic narration of the narrator touched my heart.
Best film of Banaras i have ever seen. Song - AMAR TERI KAYA, meaningful and well sung. congrats to all.. Krishanakant Shukla and Kumar Gandharva's heritage.
This is the most beautifully made documentaries I have seen so far. The makers have done the most amazing work with unfolding every bit of the culture of the place. Banares is our cultural capital so this is basically all our cultures. There is so much to learn and so much to get to know from this outstanding piece of work. I have always wanted to visit Banares and this gives me all the more reasons why. This video should be shared so that everyone gets to have this absolute feast for the eyes.

It's been 3 months I have visited Varanasi. I miss this place as day passes. Such an magnificent place. Just a walk in this city will give an touch to spirituality.
