Your number one is an interesting one for sure. My mum and I watch the fights whenever I visit and I’m pretty sure she watches the ESPN cards regardless of if I’m there because I’ll get texts from her asking me about certain fighters she doesn’t know. And she has her favorite fighters and stuff. She had always been into boxing (boxing was the first combat sport I picked up, my father was a boxer and I started boxing basically as soon as I could walk) and she really likes college and Olympic wrestling. She hated the early UFC because of the whole “brutality” thing (pretty sure she knew how bad it was to punch people in the head without gloves even back then) but by the time TUF started airing she gave it another chance and saw how much more sporting it was and how it mixed the kickboxing and wrestling sides of things and came to really enjoy it. The audience of MMA has really grown into anyone and everyone who respects what these great athletes are capable of.
When she asks about the fighters, do you call her a "casual"? The reason I ask is the new wave of loser mma "fans" (HARD AF "Hard"cores) JUMP at the chance to call ppl "casuals" because they have lives outside of MMA or who just ask a simple question/give an opinion. Another thing worth mentioning in support of MMA never being underground again is that it outlasted its "this is a fad" stage and has grown so much since that. Like around the late 2000s when tapout was blowing up it fully seemed like it might just have been a fad that would die off like even skateboarding did so many times before from the 60s all the way to the 90s, or how rollerblading came around massive in the 90s and then just died hard until very recently, but the shift from tapout fad era into mainstream just happened so well that by the time the fad died, it was seen by a lot of people already as a "real" sport.

Something that isn't asked enough on this channel ... where do we get the music playing throughout the video? Beautiful and Captivating on so many videos
Another one I would say is fixed fights in major promotions. The sport is legit enough now that it doesn’t need to rely on the theatrics and storyline that came along with fight fixing IMO
The fight game still caters towards stars/future stars so if a shady regional promoter smells the next Conor, a few opponents of his might have a questionable record in order for him to get the UFC's attention
The editing on this video was absolutely epic! Disagree that Israel Adesanya 'dominated', Khabib did and his dominance does expose two big flaws in BJJ - the lack of emphasis on takedowns or the ability to keep your opponent on the ground.
So many fights from the early 2000's i won with just straight wrestling / BJJ ...everyone i fought was a striker and even the wrestlers had zero submissions skills . IT was takedown, pass, a few strikes till they rolled over then RNC
Im a huge Dana white fan. Met him a couple times and he's such an awesome guy. At least those were my experiences talking to him. He's cool as fuck. So honestly, idgaf what anyone says or thinks about him. I'll always be a fan!
The thing that’s still very different about MMA from other big sports is that for the most part there talented stars are still approachable in society. As in they are pretty much just normal dudes when they go out in public, Conor being the exception of course, the guys a celebrity. I’ve met tons of top UFC fighters in person in many different everyday social settings and they are not being hounded by fans or media. I’m mentioning this because I hope and prey that this will not change.
i remember being 10-11 and opening up gifts on christmas and getting a dvd of ufc 3 and the Top 100 ufc fights dvd collection. back when griffin vs bonnar on the tuf 1 finale was considered the best mma fight of all time. i also remember watching the cain vs brock fighting and couldnt believe how easily cain had sent brock somersaulting across the octagon with that body shot. i honestly have no recollection of how i saw ufc the first time, i think it was on spike and they were playing ufc unleashed or whatever the fuck it was called. also season 3 of tuf. then seeing bisping go from contestant to coach to champion to now ufc commentator. i also remember when wec only had womens division and the lower weight classes. seeing uriah faber and jose aldo as the mythical creature almost that you wondered about the possibility of them fighting in the ufc. also the dream of fedor coming over to the ufc finally, only to be finished by werdum after werdum was cut from the ufc. this is only a fraction of all the craziness that mma has brought over the years but it is truly like watching an artist perform seeing this fights done at such a high level. it is crazy to see the evolution of fights like bonnar vs griffin 1 and how much technical even brawls like those have come getting fights like holloway vs rodriguez. i love this sport and as long as they keep the same basic format and rules, i will be a fan until i die. i just wish i wasnt so broke and could afford decent seats one day to an event. pfl, ufc, bellator, just a chance to see one of the guys ive watched since i was kid fight live in person would be great. until then thank goodness for the internet and espn+ having deals on their subscriptions.
Remember when they used to play back to back “ufc unleashed” or whatever all day? I remember sitting for hours watching dudes get rocked and rag dolled until it almost got old.

I fucking love this channel so much 😂 so many laughs
Another one I would say is fixed fights in major promotions. The sport is legit enough now that it doesn’t need to rely on the theatrics and storyline that came along with fight fixing IMO
no
The fight game still caters towards stars/future stars so if a shady regional promoter smells the next Conor, a few opponents of his might have a questionable record in order for him to get the UFC's attention
I wanna see Meryl Streep fight in the UFC
The editing on this video was absolutely epic! Disagree that Israel Adesanya 'dominated', Khabib did and his dominance does expose two big flaws in BJJ - the lack of emphasis on takedowns or the ability to keep your opponent on the ground.
So many fights from the early 2000's i won with just straight wrestling / BJJ ...everyone i fought was a striker and even the wrestlers had zero submissions skills . IT was takedown, pass, a few strikes till they rolled over then RNC
I just watch your videos for the Ben Rosett shoutout at the end
Nice little paul rudd cameo!! That put a smile on my face!
I wish there was an old school master vs master of a specific style league
$70!! Who pays for UFC ppv’s anyway? Seen them all and never paid a cent.
I like the subtle dig at Rickson's padded record.
Im a huge Dana white fan. Met him a couple times and he's such an awesome guy. At least those were my experiences talking to him. He's cool as fuck. So honestly, idgaf what anyone says or thinks about him. I'll always be a fan!
Meryl Streep lost all my respect that night
There will never be another Tommy Toehold that’s for sure!
10:45 ah yes, the editor is a man of culture ✌️
Tournament’s with multiple fights in one night. A relic of the past for sure.
Individual Sponsors shoulda been #1 on this list
Number one thing we will never see it's having two cue balls fighting each other ..matt Sara vs GSP
Love the movie clips! They're hilarious! 😆
8:54 that hhh Batista contract signing is perfect for the Dana bj penn scenario lol
The demolition man reference 😂😂🙌🙌
Putting Rickson on the same entry as Seagal is a shame.
Can't believe that one night tournaments and open weight fights weren't on the list. Or are they still doing these somewhere?
I miss the JUST BLEED aesthetic and how corporate it tries to be now
A successful Gracie?
Now i wanna know more about your crew's backround.
The calf kick TKO isn't too old, it could be seen as new technique maybe?
Tommy, that Ed hardy line has been on repeat 🔁 for me😂
I love when the big guys pull submissions
i remember being 10-11 and opening up gifts on christmas and getting a dvd of ufc 3 and the Top 100 ufc fights dvd collection. back when griffin vs bonnar on the tuf 1 finale was considered the best mma fight of all time. i also remember watching the cain vs brock fighting and couldnt believe how easily cain had sent brock somersaulting across the octagon with that body shot. i honestly have no recollection of how i saw ufc the first time, i think it was on spike and they were playing ufc unleashed or whatever the fuck it was called. also season 3 of tuf. then seeing bisping go from contestant to coach to champion to now ufc commentator. i also remember when wec only had womens division and the lower weight classes. seeing uriah faber and jose aldo as the mythical creature almost that you wondered about the possibility of them fighting in the ufc. also the dream of fedor coming over to the ufc finally, only to be finished by werdum after werdum was cut from the ufc. this is only a fraction of all the craziness that mma has brought over the years but it is truly like watching an artist perform seeing this fights done at such a high level. it is crazy to see the evolution of fights like bonnar vs griffin 1 and how much technical even brawls like those have come getting fights like holloway vs rodriguez. i love this sport and as long as they keep the same basic format and rules, i will be a fan until i die. i just wish i wasnt so broke and could afford decent seats one day to an event. pfl, ufc, bellator, just a chance to see one of the guys ive watched since i was kid fight live in person would be great. until then thank goodness for the internet and espn+ having deals on their subscriptions.
Remember when they used to play back to back “ufc unleashed” or whatever all day? I remember sitting for hours watching dudes get rocked and rag dolled until it almost got old.
This is a great video great job
'The Norm'.
Well played Sir.
This is a top 10 to be proud of ❤
Those first five, actual style against style, never see that again.
Having to fight 3 times, never again. Number 2 was 4 times, the only one.
No weight classes, no rules, no time limit never again.
The first 10 had much of this, but already the cross training was going on.
Those first 5 to maybe 10 were absolutely the glory days.
