AOPA members are always curious about how the winners are drawn. In fact, the sweepstakes drawing is random, and administered by a third party on AOPA's behalf. Sweepstakes administrator Ventura Associates International LLC in New York City conducts the drawing and sends AOPA a randomly selected winner. (Each winner must meet all eligibility requirements detailed in the official sweepstakes rules; if a winner is drawn who does not meet those requirements, another name is chosen.) Once we have an eligible winner, AOPA cooks up a nice surprise to present the prize.
And if anyone has a problem, just know Larry the Leg Breaker is the AOPA records clerk/sgt at arms. He knows where you live. He can very easily find you. He won last years plane….
That paint job is truly special.
What an exciting way to present the aircraft to the winner. Great Job AOPA !!
Seems like the fix was in.
well, it was close, I live in Gold Canyon on the other side of the valley...I was hoping to get swept away from soccer coaching for the day. Kayla, you did an awesome job managing this project -- would have been great going on trip to Utah in but congrats Clifford.
Thank you!!
That was awesome! Best give away I have seen. A friend used to own that plane. It was nice then but is amazing now.
Glad it's a guy that doesn't own something currently and had to sell previous plane to further his career. Should be a great gift to have him back in GA
This was really well done. “Props” to you AOPA!👊🏻
Congratulations Cliff ..... I am so happy for you and that airplane BECAUSE it is going to be in a ONE airplane family!!!!
That was Awesome, Congratulations!
Glad a member won it.
I love the idea of the AOPA give aways and certainly happy for Cliff, but it seems like the sweepstakes planes never go to someone "newer" to aviation. Always seems to go to someone who is "connected" to AOPA. 🧐
Rigged
Ditto
Congratulations!🎉
I feel happy for this guy. But, I think it would be more special for someone less able to buy their own plane. A retired 747 pilot isn't hurting for money... Regardless, AOPA is a great organization.
My thoughts exactly. The winner even addressed the guy with the keys by name... like old friends. Something fishy here.
It was fixed guys. Pretty obvious. The odds of that happening at random are almost 0.00000000%
Congratulations
Could have bought his own.
Perfect. Congratulations
That was fun to watch an Eagle, Get some Sparrow wings!!..🛫
Amazing how only Doctors , Dentists and Airline Pilots win the prizes .
that was so kool!
So much cynicism in here. Gross. Just be happy for the guy. AOPA found out the randomly chosen winner lived 15 miles from the fly-in and started connecting the dots to make the surprise a sure thing. Not everything has to be a conspiracy.
The odds of that happening at random are approaching zero. This is a sad day for us all. Welcome to Ukraine…..
To Russia with Ukraine.
See if Gogetair is willing to semi sponsor a giveaway for exposure. They are much too passive.
I'll sponsor you for Merry Maids coming out to clean up that trailer of yours.
