This is remarkable time capsule. Love the velvety intro. Then we have a great rendition of "Day By Day" in a studio which screams Seventies. Naturally one wonders where these people are now, if they are indeed still with us. Glad this was preserved.
I have loved this song since the 70s. I was 9 in 1975. The older kids sang it in the talent show. I am now 57. Just bought the vinyl (again) and am going to see the play GODSPELL live!!
I am therefore four years younger than you, as I was five in 1975, so 53 in two months' time. Didn't encounter the song until nine years later, when I became a Christian. The words are a prayer by Richard of Chichester.
I saw this production at Katella and it was wonderful! To see Scott Freeman and the other cast members frozen in time is amazing! Thanks Joel for posting! Good to see you at what 16? Truly a magical video!
I would have been not yet five and so under school age then. In England, infant school is 5-7, junior school is 7-11 and senior school 11-18. I am 53 in June, so too young to understand or remember that period (1975 and prior).
My first year of high school was at an integrated pu;license school in Kentucky,,talking to a black kid probably ly got me a Mark 0n my permanent record
Godspell and "Day By Day" are both classics from the 1970's. Fantastic play, and the song has such a wonderful catchy tune.

What an amazing performance. The album helped me big time, during one of my hospitalizations. Still love it. Special memories.
