One thing that should be noted about Mango Languages: You may be able to able to access it for FREE through your library card. They have agreements with many library systems throughout the country.
One thing to note, a lot of public libraries have subscriptions to Mango, so if you have a public library card it might be worth checking if your library has Mango for its patrons.
Something that wasn’t mentioned about Mango vs babel on pricing is that (here in Georgia usa at least) mango is offered for free through libraries and universities. I use mango because I get it through my library
I used Babbel for German and completed the course. It was a decent introduction to the German language, but you won’t learn to speak German. I certainly didn’t learn much. The problem with this kind of course is that there is insufficient input i.e. not enough German. They also tend to teach translation rather than thinking in the language. The brain learns languages through massive input, not through language lessons, or grammar drills. In other words, none of these courses are particularly good. A much better way to learn is using mini stories or short texts. Read and understand. Then listen while reading. Then listen. Do this for each text, regularly revise previous texts, and bingo, over a few years one learns the language. LingQ is one source of stories, there are others.
I'm looking for free resources, so I'm going to start using Mango since it's available through my library. Babbel also just doesn't have most of the languages I'm interested in, but Mango offers a lot of different language courses.
Mango is also free in our libraries here in Australia. Best use of Mango for me is the auto lessons, so you can hear and repeat. It forces me to think on my feet and speak, rather than reading and speaking. They are completely different learning methods and I find reading and speaking so much easier than hearing and speaking. You can also use this method while you’re driving.
You have such a great assortment of language learning videos! Thanks for all your great reviews, makes it much easier to choose from. I want to learn French so I can travel to France and speak to locals. I learned a bit in grade school and really liked it!
Review Falou please, it’s another language learning app that is sorta like the standard but has more! The language I am learning is Korean since I love the language and culture. I wanna visit South Korea someday and interact with the locals. The language also sounds beautiful in general.
Thanks for this review! So glad I found your channel! I’ve been trying to learn Spanish for YEARS for traveling and work (healthcare). This year I’m trying to be way more intentional in my learning and the right app will help! Thanks again for all the reviews on different language learning apps! Very helpful!
Never heard of Mango languages before. Think it's a good option, if you get the all languages pack, for someone who wants to delve into a lot of languages. But the lack of visually engaging variaty would bore me after a while.
Hi! Thanks for the info. Don’t know if this is common or not, but my public library (Philadelphia, & come to think of it my former library system on Long Island, NY) offer Mango for free. You can even use on app (anywhere, not just in library buildings). Sorry about the super long, rambly sentence.😉
My library has a free access to all of Mango. Mango also has a giant library of languages to choose from. Like Dari. What language learning program has Dari??

Great comparison between Mango and Babble. I have never heard of Mango but both seem like viable options.

I like Babble too. It is very well-rounded in teaching methods. It's also promoted more than Mango as well...
Thanks for watching and sharing!
Another great comparison. I've been using Babbel for a while and I'm very happy with it.
I'm so glad this company exists! Gave me the best insight for making a choice for language learning! I hope to be a winner so I can use two programs!
Your video reviews are so crisp and clear. Very helpful! The in-depth comparison on your website is a bonus.
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching and sharing

I'll check it out! Thanks for watching!
If you have a college degree, you can teach English in South Korea at an after-school institute (hagwon.) Hagwons usually provide airfare and housing.
Loved the realistic review and recommendation
Spanish. My wife migrated to the us from chile after high school. I want to be able to teach and communicate with my kids in Spanish
Very cool. Thanks for watching and sharing!
As many mention. Mango (and Rosetta Stone) are free with my national library for the province of Québec (BANQ).
Thx for making this video! it was really informative and helped me to choose an online program a lot easier!
No problem!!
Somebody probably already mentioned this. Another plus that should be pointed out is that a lot of libraries give their patrons access to Mango.
Thank you for everything you do!

Yes, for visual people, it isn't great (apart from the color coding). Thanks for watching!
Great video, thank you 🙏
I want to learn Farsi because I have many family members who are native speakers.
Best of luck!
Good comparison, I’m learning Spanish so I can operate in my new home country (Colombia) and am always looking for good tools to help me study.
Love it, very cool :)

Really? That's interesting about the free Mango access
I really would love to win a free Babbel course. Thank you for doing this.
No problem!
Great review
Great Mango Languages vs Babbel Review
cool!! thank you for this. like the sound of both
Mango offers way more languages. It's a no brainer for me.
Both great tools!
I want to learn Spanish so I can connect more with my patients that only speak Spanish. I’m excited to learn!
Very cool reason :)
My library has a free access to all of Mango. Mango also has a giant library of languages to choose from. Like Dari. What language learning program has Dari??
Mango has more language options, worth mentioning that.
I would love to learn Russian so I can communicate when I go there
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Yeah I think if you can get mango for free it's better to use mango and then substitute with more fun apps like duolingo if you want breaks.
as far as price a lot of U.S local libraries have accounts for members for free.
Man's always hating on the Mango. jk
