RUclips changed the way they monetize my content. My channel now needs 1,000 Subscribers so it would be AWESOME if you could show your support by both watching my videos and subscribing to my channel if you have not already done so. Monetizing my videos allows me to invest back into the channel with new equipment so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me. Many thanks for your support !

Nice video. I have a nc750s. For sure the things you mention may improve the experience, but i did not feel the need of these.
      My top accessories:
      1. A chain oiler, for simplicity i have the cobra nemo which is also the cheapest beside Ali clones
      2. Usb charging socket and phone mount also ali under10€
      3. This winter i will install heatet grips. Chosen koso around 60€
I also have ali radiator cover for under 10€ and think of a rear mudguard but the price fir a piece of plastic is ridiculous, or a sleeve for suspension
      Regards!

They can make it, but every time it seems to me that the accessories manufactureres have to gain some money also. This is how we can explain perhaps that the bikes are so "empty" by default. Greetings

The Honda Deauville was/is superbly equipped for cold, wet weather riding - huge screen, shaft drive, low seat, heated grips. Of course, everyone said it was a boring bike which is probably why they eventually ditched it.

Also owner, 20k km so far, very reliable, low consumption, very underpowered, excellent bike for commuting, fairly good for medium/long travelling. Definitely not for offroad (!!), too heavy, no wheels, no suspension, etc, only do it if you intend to ruin your bike...
    Top essential mods imho,
    - Top Sellerie seat, the best
    - WRS windscreen, excellent, no buff, combine it with Batzen adjustable screen mount, both compatible with oem hand guards (enough for weather protection),
    - SW-Motech 25mm barbacks (for comfortable seating position), no more than 25mm because of cable slack,
    - Oem centerstand.
All other really depends on your riding habits, location, etc.
Side note, tipped over my bike couple times, no need for crashbars. If a crash bends the radiator, this will be the least of your problems...
    Cheers!

OEM center stand. Got it wth the bike. Really think all bikes should come with them. I also think a skid plate under the bike should be in the top ten for this bike.

    • @IdealBike
      @IdealBike  5 лет назад +2

Ideed Vance, I was thinking to put it also in the top ten, there are some nice options for it: But I will put it here:
      - SW Motech makes it, costs arround 300$ and you hace to consider that there are 2 versions of it: one for DCT and other for the normal clutch
      www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-motech-skidplate-for-honda-nc700-nc750-1
      - Altrider has also for 300$ a skid plate
      www.cyclegear.com/parts/altrider-skid-plate-honda-nc700x-nc750x
      - Givi makes it but could not find the link, perhaps you can find it
Even they say they fit you must check the compatibility with the Main Stand, perhaps you have to make some small adjustments.
      Hope this helps!

This is just my opinion, but for longer ride, your current windshield is already the best, because at the top side it bended, makes the wind surely goes higher above your helmet thus makes the wind buffeting on helmet is minimum than the more flat shaped from givi or the original one which i think might let the wind escape at a lower level and prone to hit your helmet more..
Also, a raiser is very much worth it, it makes riding much more comfortable 👍

That's right. The Givi windscreen is better than the original Honda part, but it conflicts with the Honda hand protectors. But the Honda hand protectors are also an option, so the best bet is to buy the Givi windsheild AND the Give hand protectors. I started with the NC 700X DCT in 2016 and at 16,000 trouble free miles, I bought the NC 750X DCT for the extra power and electronic torque control. I can notice and love the extra power, but the I hate the torque control and just turn it off unless the roads are wet. I also changed the foot pegs, by coincidence using the same German made pegs recommended in this RUclips video. They cost around $100, but have the removable rubber cushions, as shown here.
Regarding the "crash bar," Honda calls it a "Light Bar" to avoid, I imagine, the liability of giving the impression it will protect the rider in a crash. Quite by accident, I put it to the test. It protected the fairing and frunk quite well, and I think it also protected my legs in the initial impact and slide with the pavement. The radiator was barely damaged, but don't worry, the insurance coverage for the Uber driver that whacked me will pay for that and everything else, including the broken hand and foot that were not protected by the Aerostich Roadcrafter (Let's see just how DEEP those pockets are!). But I digress.
I love the NC 750X DCT. If you really want to manually shift, use the bike's paddle-shifters, just like in modern high performance sports cars. But when you want to just ride, its nice to let it run through the gears for you. it calculates the shift points and completes the shift faster than I can, so no loss of performance.
One more comment on accessories. I've got the Honda trunk and hard side cases. Its all good EXCEPT that the trunk mounts so close to the passenger that it pushes the passenger forward, causing passenger to be pushing into your back, making the rider lean forward, which is okay for a little while, but completely eliminates this set up for day rides. I am looking into going with Givi for the trunk, as it appears the Givi mounts farther back. I also agree with the recommendation to change the seat. As is, the seat is perfect for my commute, encouraging a slight forward lean close to the tank. But, again, for long rides, go with an aftermarket seat that will provide a broader width and more upright position.

I don't know if they are available for the 750 but on my 700 I had a set of Honda, winglets, for want of a better description. They fit under the seat and noticeably reduce the amount of dirt being thrown up from the rear wheel and hitting the rider. They weren't too expensive at about £40 if memory serves and being genuine Honda they fitted.

Thanks for all the pointers!!! I own the exact same model, even the same colour. At this point I should mention I upgraded my brake / clutch levers to short levers which is much more comfortable. Also, the exhaust was upgraded to a free-flow minus the catalytic converter and baffles. The cruising speed acceleration smothering feeling vanished when I got the free-flow and the fuel consumption decreased by 20%. Overall, an amazing bike

    • @IdealBike
      @IdealBike  4 года назад

Hi there ! Thanks a lot for sharing all that, it is very interesting how the fuel consumption decreased, could you give us more details regarding the free-flow and the baffles? These changes are affecting somehow the engine on a long term use? Greetings !

    • @Igwe
      @Igwe 4 года назад +1

@@IdealBike Haha the lack off baffles just make for some nice, loud driving. Cutting out the catalytic converter and upgrading the tailpiece to a freeflow means less back-pressure on the system. Less back-pressure means less fuel has to be burned. I have a South African brand, Barker Exhaust Systems pipe (approx 300 USD) and the fuel consumption's before and after stats is 28km/L compared to now 35km/L.

For the front mud guard why not just use an old car mud flap cut it to shape and rivet or use nuts and bolts to hold it to the back of the front mud guard.
Much cheaper and very effective all you need do is drill a few holes in the original mud guard and make a small metal bracket for the plastic.
As for the rear problem of splashing, as there is already a perfectly good system in place, why not just coat the underside where the rain splashes up with some non stick solution rain repellent that is used on some cars, the mud and dirt will not stick to it and thus problem solved much cheaper.
You just coat it every so often and problem solved, it doesn't stop the water from splashing but it stops the dirt from sticking, they use similar stuff on buildings and glass.

@@IdealBike Don't forget you might need to make a small or couple of small metal brackets to keep the home made mud flap from ending up under your front tire as the bumping may make it flap around a bit, but that's easy enough to make and cut out yourself, it depends on the thickness or rigidity of the material you are using.

Another good video. Thanks! My accessories are being fitted as I write this, so I can't report yet if I chose good stuff. I'm still crossing my fingers. But the dealer did warn me against the forward facing back mudguard (the ones that protect the monoshock, not the rider behind me). I'm told that the old stuff doesn't fit the 2019 model, so now I'm planning to recycle an old foam rubber mouse mat, cut down to size so it fits loosely around the rear spring. I will just lace up the seam with a couple of tie wraps. That should keep the dirt off the bit that matters, and saves quite a lot of cash. I figure if it holds up in the first week it will be good for a few years. I'll let you know.

Hi, interesting video, I've subscribed, good luck with the channel. I have a 2015 NC750X, Givi rack, panniers, and engine bars. I like them they fit and are very good quality. I've fitted cheap bar risers off ebay, I had to spray them black and they do the job. Sat Nav and Iphone mounts are Ram and fit onto extended handlebar bolts, perfect! I've got barkbuster handguards they're expensive, good quality and they fit. I had a Puig tall screen and didn't like it so I bought a taller one (can't remember the brand name), I've kept the Puig wind deflector which will fit on any screen and allows you to adjust the airflow over the top of the screen, it's noisy in some wind conditions though. I've also bought a cheap radiator shield because the previous owner of the bike got the radiator damaged when a nut or bolt was thrown up by the tyre. An original radiator is £500 in the UK, I got a made in China one off Amazon for £140 which is brilliant! My next accessories will be higher output headlight bulb, driving lights, and charging socket. The NC is a lovely bike and makes me laugh when I see 99.9 miles per gallon on the instrument cluster readout, fuel economy is superb, ride quality is good too. I bought an accessory seat cushion which sits on top of the original and improves the comfort level but would like a properly modified comfy seat. I would also recommend a front fender extender and some form of rear mudguard which will fit on the swingarm.

It really helps with wind protection...Now I'm looking for Crash bars, side cases, definitely a new seat because the stock one is kinda uncomfortable as I ride for hours because I just love my bike😉😁😀❤

Hi Avron! I Asked at the dealer for that, bigger tyre and spoked wheels, it can be done technically but with enormous costs, you can buy directly a bigger bike😂.

It does work very well. It is SO big though. Feels like the vibrations and force put on the mounts/cockpit is going to break it off. Also not happy with mounting hardware starting to rust within a month for that price (although I can easily fix that). I'm going to experiment with a smaller bracket to raise/lower the standard screen. If that works, my Madstad is for sale :)

I own a 2014 model of the NC750X with these accessories:
    Genuine Honda products:
    - Heated grips (very nice, strongly recommended)
    - 12 V outlet in the front compartment (nothing fancy here, but very useful for mobile and/or navigation system)
    - 45 l top box with back rest for the co-driver (a real must-have in my opinion)
    - 29 l panniers kit (not necessary unless traveling with the bike)
    - Inner bags for top box and panniers kit (helps getting things in and out quickly)
    - main stand (no bike should be made without it)
    Other manufacturers' products
    - Tiremoni tire pressure monitoring system (every vehicle should be equipped with such a system; shop.tiremoni.com/en/motorcycle-accessories/tyres-rims/tyre-pressure-monitoring-system-for-cruiser-bike-tm-4100/a-286/)
    - SW-Motech crash bar (proved already to do its job well; sw-motech.com/en/bike/HONDA/NC750X/2014/RC72/products/protection/crash+bar/4052572056288.htm)
    - RAM Mounts holder (holds my precious mobile securely; www.rammount.com/part/RAM-HOL-UN10BU)
    - Win Power LED bulb (replaces the standard H4 bulb and is effectively illegal, but offers an amazing increase of active and passive visibility; www.amazon.de/dp/B07SN39LTX)
    - Akrapovic slip-on exhaust (the difference between men and boys is the price for their toys... ;-) www.akrapovic.com/en/moto/product/16668/Honda/NC-700-750X/2014/Slip-On-Line-Carbon?brandId=30&modelId=131&yearId=577 )
In total, I would not want to miss any of them. Additional handguards might be cool, though I do not really need them. Riding only on paved roads, I am also fine with the original footrests and neither see a necessity for additional protection of the radiator or the like.

I have now 3 year the NC750X DCT version - year 2017 - and you was not sad about a chain oiler nothing. I have Scottoiler v-system installed with dual injektor after 1000 km service, now i have over 35000 km and still the original chain because the oiler. This is a very importatnt accesories. You also not mentioned the
Givi MG1109 Motorcycle Mudguard for back wheel, this protect your back suspencion and its also a chain guard and the "Eye Car" Motor Rear Wheel Mudguard Fender witsh ist much cheeper and better then a givi. I have a Puig windscreen but with small wind protector on the top original from puig ordered together, this have a better wind protection, after i also installd the Wind Shield Adjustment and whit this adjuster you can make higher or lower your windschild. i am 188 cm high and i have a good wind protection. I also bought a handle heating from oxford, and also a givi hand protector, and its fit with Puig windshield. I have also the givi craschbar and this is the best choice. I have also Central stander original from Honda working good, and a lot af mor accesories. In the future i will make a good video from my bike, later a will upload a small presentation.
