    You seem so cool! It’s amazing you don’t let this get you down. I was prescribed another anti psychotic med today. Pretty nervous about even trying it.

      Hey @Danster547 thank you for reaching out and leaving a comment of positivity. Throughout life, you will be thrown curveballs, however, do not be nervous about them. Just simply stay on top of any potential side effects that could appear with your current medication. Sorry for the three months delay on this response. Have an awesome and blessed new year!

    He really makes me feel like there's hope. The hardest part for me is that I don't have jerky movements at all-I have facial twitches and involuntary eye movements. People don't understand how tiring it is just to do regular, everyday things. My strength has lessened significantly. I do what I can and try to stay as positive as I can. I loved my job but it's so hard just to work for a few hours at a time.

    After one week of taking seroquel for PTSD. I too developed TD. Thankfully my Dr immediately apologised and advised me that the medication had caused this and to stop taking it immediately. It took over two years for the symptoms to go away, and other than trouble with some fine motor skills whilst using both hands at a time, I am almost free of this devastating affliction which completely devastated my entire way of life.
    Stay strong mate, and stay away from the pharma poisons. The pills don’t work....they only make things worse!

      Hey, Bird Gal from Down Under! Thank you so much for viewing this piece from the HealthGrades. It was great to have the opportunity to work with them to film this snippet of my journey. But, even MORE AWESOME to read that you've been freeing yourself from the awful side effects that medication can cause in even a short amount of time! For any more on my story drop by my page so we can help spread the awareness! Much love, Brian

    Reglan caused Tardive Dystonia for me after 1 dose last year. It was for nausea. I really just want people to know about the reaction. I sat in pain for hours because I thought it was my nerves. By the time I went to the er I was literally folding into myself(my ribcage was crushing into my hip bone) I had an irregular heart rate as well which was dangerous. Thankfully, iv benadryl stopped the reaction. But I could have not came out of it the doctors said. 10/10 pain. I kid you not. I'm not longer afraid to have children. I've already experienced full body pain. Please all I want to do by spreading this let people know what the reaction looks like so they don't struggle like me. What I experienced in order: 1. Couldn't bend my leg at the knee when walking looked like a pirate with a peg leg. 2. My eye brows began to raise and eventually I couldn't get them to go down leaving me with a semi permanent surprised loook😯 3. My neck muscles began to spasms so I was moving my head forward as far as it could go repeatedly. I'd move it back and then involuntarily it'd go back with force. 4. My shoulders began to raise and tighten(you can see how i could have chalked this up to nerves) So by the end of it i was stuck in between my shoulders with my head being crushed in between. 5. My back began to turn to the right and go downwards into my hip. This was when I knew I had something wrong I assumed rabies.. so finally I went to the hospital. I sat through valentine's day dinner, 1 hour car ride, and was home for 3 hours before I realized I couldn't do anything to help this. Always go to the er if you need help.

    33m here, I take Effexor XR, buspirone, Wellbutrin, trazadone, and ativan. I have been on this for about 10 years now, at varying doses. Over the last hear, I've noticed that I get these involuntary tics, almost like tourettes, but ive never had the issues before.
    I noticed that its particularly bad when I get this cold chill feeling from the bottom of my neck down. I usually turn my head really sharply instantly, or ill cock my head sideways until the cold chills subside. Usually lasts just a second. It has also caused me to clap my hands together, snap my finger, or ill get like this full body jerk.
    Idk, maybe this is just normal. It's just interesting. It hasn't caused any harm or put me in a bad position, snd its not super often... The only thing that is worrying is the head turning because its so sharp and sudden and it really snaps it around. Most of the time it will crack or pop my neck.

      Thanks for sharing this and giving my video a view. If I took out the underlying Tourette's from my twitches and laid out the post-medication movements we're on very similar routines (the head/neck, hands, and mostly upper body). There are many more videos, which show movements over the years, on my account I'm commenting from that we didn't include in this interview.

    I really hate how psychiatrists almost never ever mention the side effects which are in themselves, full blown life limiting conditions. TD, its distant terrifying cousin Akathesia, the baby cousin RLS. Its like yeah you won’t hallucinate but yoy may develop this new condit

      Thanks for sharing that info Amit! I am personally unfamiliar with the medicine you speak of however very grateful for the hospitals here that had taken me in and provided me with this diagnosis of TD. It's rough, but things could always be worse, right? Again, thank you for stopping by and watching my interview with HealthGrades!

      Thanks for watching and asking. At the time I was given 11 medications over the 6 year period before being diagnosed. I'd point towards Haldol as the first medication that led to side effects of the pulling in my neck.

    • @heiliger_sturm
      @heiliger_sturm 2 месяца назад +2

      @you were prescribed Haldol for anxiety? Yeah, these doctors are insane.
      Prescribing Haldol for anxiety is probably a lawsuit matter if you can get a decent lawyer, but statute of limitations nullified any claims now I think.

    • @thehaircutbook
      @thehaircutbook 2 месяца назад

      @@heiliger_sturm grrrr Haldol. It was one of many they tossed at me for the (at the time) newly devolving anxiety alongside the twitch meds. On/Off too many to recall at this moment but, to the best of my foggy knowledge, that was the reason for the haldol. It’s upsetting to talk with people in the all levels of the medical field to hear that they still give out haldol. I’ve found it discomforting the amount of nurses who are on Twitter/X writing about “VitaminH” in a joking fashion.

    Benadryl helps

      @thehaircutbook Год назад +2

      Thanks for the comment. Ive had a number of people actually develop from taking benadry. If that is working for you, truly AWESOME! However, each person will react or respond differently to each medicine and it will go on to be called "medical practice" for that reason. Thank you again for taking the time to watch and respond with your comment! Have a blessed 2024!

      Hey @mikecatg Brian here from the video. I'm personally unfamiliar with this drug you mentioned but would recommend speaking with your doctor or neurologist, regarding that medication, and any potential side effects that you can't keep a watchful eye on. Have an awesome and blessed new year!
